Key integral information would be what ROM and software you're using now. Some launchers have extra settings, that can inhibit the Android security settings if they conflict.
Also, you might find the answer by posting to the Thread where you've gotten your custom ROM...you might even find the answer (drum roll & dramatic pause for effect) searching.

and did you make sure you didn't use titanium back up to remove or freeze something you shouldn't had? I accidentally did that b4 and caused something to not work until I defrosted it

I was just having this problem with my new sg2 that tmobile sent me. i received it today and was having the exact same things happening. Another user suggested i do a factory reset and that did the trick. Hope that helps you

Hi, there.
I want to install Android Icecream Sandwich on my Wildfire S. The first thing I need to do is to boot my phone in the bootloader mode to get a backup from my original ROM and install the new ROM from the SD card; but VOLUME DOWN + POWER BUTTON does not show the bootloader screen. I turn my phone off and then press these buttons together, but my phone starts as normal and goes to HTC Sense and boots completely.
What should I do?
Thanks in advance...

Remove the battery and then try it.,.. surely it will work...
Or just turn off "Fast boot" in Settings > Power, either way it will work.

What applications did you install?
When you say unlock button, do you mean the power button that turns on the screen? Or the slide to unlock on the screen when the screen is lit?
Have you tried rebooting?

normal apps , like Airdroid or Yahoo Messenger & Viber & ...
i meant the power bottun
Try to delete installed apps and see if the lock/unlock works good, if its done reinstall the apps, maybe its a install download or some error

Hi to everyone.
I flashed my N7100 with stock 4.3 ROM. I did flash via Odin 3.09. Phone was not rooted or modified before update.
After update (which went OK), I noticed there are 2 problems:
1. No lock screen possibility (all options are present in Setting menu), but phone will not lock
2. Power button only works like: short press -> screen off, long press power off. There is no menu after long press to offer ****down, restart, airplane mode.....
Does anybody know is there a way to fix this???
