First, I take no responsibility for the creation or management of this mod. All credit goes to madphone and his various helpers/testers. I just wanted to point some of you in the right direction should you want to try this mod out.
Secondly, I don't have much experience with the SPH-D710. My girlfriend has a Sprint Samsung Galaxy S II that I recently rooted and loaded [JB:CM10:HYBRD][E4GT] PARANOIDANDROID [2.16, True HybridMode][09/29/12] onto. She asked about the TW overlay I have running on my Galaxy Nexus and I thought to give it a try on her S2 (being that PA is based off same source). It loaded quite nicely and she feels more 'At Home' with it.
As always, please make a nandroid backup before flashing this mod as it doesn't appear that it was originally intended for this device. I would assume support for your phone will be quite limited, if there's any at all.
Without further ado, you can find madphone's mod here:
S3 TouchWiz Jelly Bean Addon (Update 1.3.3) (Launcher Update LIB)
**Edit**
Please use CWM Recovery when flashing this mod.
Looks nice, thanks! FYI, there's also an S3 TouchWiz that comes with Pimp My ROM, but I haven't tried it yet. I wonder if it's the same thing.

I didn't see this mentioned on the linked thread or in the demo video. Does this have the Desk Dock mode when plugged into the OEM desk dock? If the Clock app has the DeskClock page to the right of the Timer tab, it most likely does. TIA.

I'm not sure about this one. I'm running CM10 nightlies. My clock application is built from source. If there's a particular Desk Dock mode within the S3's clock app, it's unknown to me as that app likely has other settings than AOSP. As far as I can tell, you're only gaining themed icons and additional apps. I do not believe any apps have been replaced, thus no additional added functionality to existing system apps from the particular ROM you're running.

The Desk Dock mode is from Gingerbread TouchWiz. (Screen shot attached.) The Jelly Bean dock mode doesn't have the icons at the bottom, and I don't care for the color, shape or size of the clock font.
Will this work on Rootbox 3.0 jb 4.1.2. Im on international s2 which is i9100
Ps. Does anyone have any link for apk because the links at madmans thread are all dead.

[APP] TouchWiz Calculator & Clock Apps for Galaxy Nexus [Update: ICS Themed Clock]
Simple mods/ports as I was missing the TouchWiz Calculator from my i9000; just de-odexed and modified the layout xml files.
Calculator Install: Just copy the attached apk to /system/app and set permissions.
Clock Install: Flash zip from CWM.
Update 4: Sorry for the lack of updates; I've been trying to port TW framework from the ICS leaks for the Galaxy Note and SGSII to our AOSP Galaxy Nexus... as a hold over here's an ICS themed ClockPackage... Could use a few touchups but it's mainly there.
Update 3: I've just updated the TwClock package to fix some issues people were having with creating an Alarm.
Update 2: As per popular demand I've uploaded a version of the TW ClockPackage that will work on the Galaxy Nexus. Most of the heavy lifting for this one was done by Tortel1210 as it was his work that removed the twframework dependencies.
Update: Just uploaded an ICS themed version based off djb77's ICS theme for the i9000.

Note: Using both this clock and the built in clock for alarms may (read: probably will) cause conflicts; as a result one or both of your alarms may stop functioning. Use only one clock for alarms at a time.

+1 That would be excellent and very much appreciated as I too miss that very clock set up. Thank you.
First post updated with TouchWiz Clock package in CWM flashable zip.
These are great but the Clock keeps force closing every time I try to use the alarm. Any suggestions?

Thanks for providing these.
I flashed the clock on my galaxy nexus running AOKP build 26. It flashed fine and the application starts, but trying to create a new alarm crashed the application.
I tried fixing permissions and rebooting, but it didn't help.
Any ideas on what might have gone wrong?
Excellent, this is where Android lacks (Google mostly), how come a smart phone doesn't have basic functionality such a timer, stopwatch and world clock.
I know there are lots of these kind of apps available on the market, but I'm kind of jealous of iPhone where you could even talk to siri to set timer.

Looks like we're having the same issue. I can't figure out what I may have done wrong, but I do prefer this to the regular clock app. I hope a fix can be figured out. I'll let you know if I find anything.

Any chance of getting the AccuWeather widget on here as well?

Hi!
Is ther anyone who can Port TouchwizUX from Galaxy S3 to One X
and the Accuweather widget to work!
yes the launcher has been ported and will work on any ics device. have a look around, its on xda somewhere.
the accuweather widget is included in this addon pack for cm9 (which also includes the touchwiz launcher) - or there is an option to download this pack with cm9 and flash it together.

SIII Touchwiz on OneX
Unfortunately, this port of touchwiz misses the one part that makes SIII so easy to use. When dropped down notification section, you dont have toggles on top of screen, but anyone wants touchwiz, and can live without this, it runs flawlessly. Worth a look.

Even better: use Widgetsoid, you can customize the toggles in the statusbar to only have those that you actually use.

that is because you need the TW framework to be able to use the toggles. to be honest i prefer the quick settings instead.

Hi guys,
I considered this thread ABANDONED, you can get a new version from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=30572364#post30572364
I have extracted the version of TouchWiz Launcher from SGS III firmware, and made it compatible with NON-OFFICIAL ICS and JB ROM's for our Galaxy S, I tested with CyanogenMod 10 and it works, I haven't tried with other versions.
CHANGELOG:
v1.01:
-Corrected an issue when change the App Menu to an Alphatical List.
v1.0:
-The functions of Samsung to set the Wallpaper are eliminated.
-The movement of icons with the move of the phone in SGS2 and SGS3 are removed because incompatibility with SGS.
-The number of unread sms-mms, gmails and missed calls is show over the corresponding Apps, Messages, Phone and Gmail respectively.
v0.0:
-This is a pure Port of the Launcher, with no mods.
NEXT STEPS:
-I want to make all the changes made for my previous version working only with ICS ROMs of this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1670723
Thanks.

Did you add Samsung Galaxy S3 weather widget on your mod?
I got it working by flashing the signed version through CWM. Just wondering now how to get the weather widget!
This is such a great work! Hopefully the tabs and downloads icon can become more touchwiz-ed in the near future. Keep it up!

Hi guys,
This is a MOD of the TouchWiz Launcher with the changes I like, so If you want a Port version used version 0.0 in the first post, this is only 240dpi version for SGS extracted from leaked ROM I9300XXDLG4, I don't go to mantain it, only if samsung release a new version with bugs corrected I make the PORT.
Thanks.
Ok, I decided to start this thread in order for these roms to get better. It's not just a question of who's the best but this thread aims to provide both groups with users expreriences in order for their roms to get better. In order for us to do that we need to state our:
** likes for each rom
** dislikes
** battery life
** other bugs
** suggestions
If you ask why I choose those to roms, it's just because they're my two favorites. Respect to all devs here us their work is simly amazing. Thread starts while AOKP is on build 3 and CNA on 3.6 release.
The only thing that I hate about aokp is their notification toggles. It doesnt fit at all!! (In the JB statusbar) while the power widget from cm10 fits like google put it in. So if aokp redisigns their toggles it would be nice.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
CNA has an unroot option in the menu. Personally I prefer to have an unrooted device, but I like the customization of the ROM. It can be the best of both worlds.

See the toggles are what I love about aokp. I know I'm in the minority. Those toggles are stock jelly bean toggles just FYI.

same here, those toggles are my favorite, that power widget is the first thing i get rid of - i think it's an eyesore.
I was on CNA and its good but missing some features that I like in AOKP & CM10. Like the cm10 percentage battery and Led options like in aokp Also the navbar soft key customization. The main thing I noticed about CNA that I didn't like was, receiving text messages is slow, it takes a long time to get a text from the person. The only other ROM to be slow with receiving SMS was MIUI jellybean.

Anyone have the apk for these apps or know where I can get them?

- battery percentage apk
I really miss those apps but otherwise love cm 10

I believe that most, if not all, Samsung Touchwiz apps have a different framework than that of AOSP so they're not compatible on AOKP/CM10 (other way around still works, you can use AOSP apps on any Sammy ROM). There are most likely similar apps to the ones you're currently searching on the Play Store.
They are Touchwiz specific apps made by Samsung.. not just missing from cm 10.. they wont work without TW.. there are some ROMs on here that blend aokp look/feel with TW, try one of those. On a side note, this is really a Q&A thread, Apps/themes section is for posting actual apps and themes.. not just asking about them. I know our forum is blended and not like that but it is supposwd to be.
