2 Different Notes on Amazon? - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was planning on Ordering from SurgeTelcom As ive order from before under this link
http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B0099QRVZS/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new
BUT This link http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Facto...UTF8&colid=G28H1FTCE4D1&coliid=I32WEF6GWKGH8Z
Says Samsung Galaxy Note II N7100 Marble White Factory Unlocked International GSM version 4G LTE 700 MHz Class 17 / 2100 - N7100 from Samsung by New Generation Products.
Could that really be the LTE one or no? I know the Model doesnt have the 05

If it's N7100 than there is no LTE. It's probably just marketing strategy. These vendors just want to make the sales by putting mixed up informations.

[Q] Does Galaxy Nexus LTE work in Australia?

Wondering if I should get a Galaxy Nexus 4G LTE from America since I want the the 32GB storage but the GSM version does not have 32GB only 16GB.
So does the 4G Galaxy Nexus work in Australia or should I wait for the Samsung Galaxy S III - Considering the Galaxy S range is usually a major step up from the Nexus before it i.e. Nexus S to the Galaxy S II. I am strongly considering it if I can't use a 4G phone in Australia and they are not going make a GSM version with 32GB storage.
Your thoughts please...
No it doesn't.

no;
1: LTE bands may not be compatiable
2. the VZW version uses CDMA; not GSM for voice/3G
3. the LTE is for data only on the GNexus; there are currently no Voice over LTE deployed that I know of yet
Like others above me have said no it will not work in Australia or any other country outside of the USA, the LTE is CDMA only, and for Verizon USA only , it might work outside USA on roaming but that's it, even some accessories might have issues like a case because the LTE is a bit thicker due to having a larger battery for the LTE.

[Q] Galaxy note 2 international version has LTE!!

Galaxy note to unboxing by technobuffalo!! He says it has LTE!! if you look at the Manuel its in french just like the one we all got from handtec this is great news ares is international but my Google wallet wont work why D:?
Really
Unfortunately he is wrong in that video
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
His phone is the n7100 so it won't have LTE.. He is mistaken in the video.

But LTE version exists, and its code-name is N7105
Yes, the n7105, but I don't think it has been released yet. :/

Why should he be wrong? Here in Germany / Switzerland LTE is always included in the tec specs...I´ve ordered mine on cyberport.de...and their devices definitely have LTE included.

on french sites (expansys, ....) they do not talk about LTE :crying:

not sure what's going on with this actually...
my Note, standard N7100, is registering on the Orange EE network, and has been since i turned it on for the first time...
Haven't run a speedtest on it yet though, though after reading this thread, i'm curious

According to the most German reviews and websites LTE is not includes in the current Note 2.
Note 2 LTE model number is N7105. Is N7105, which is Note 2 LTE is supported in this forum? They are two different models. I am afraid if yours have LTE, its not N7100 which means no support from XDA. Can someone confirm my worry? I am from a country where Sammy only launch N7105, not N7100.

I got mine yesterday from an eBay vendor. It has an Arabic instruction manual and an English one. The version shows
Model number GT-N7100
Android version 4.1.1
Baseband version N7100XXALIH
Kernel version 3.0.31-259982, [email protected] #1, SMP PREEMPT Tue Oct 2 02:04:58 KST 2012
Build number JRO03C.N7100XXALJ1
FCC ID: A3LGTN7100
SSN: -N7100GSMH
Despite my tinkering with the APN settings and visiting an AT&T store where I got a micro SIM for free and associating this IMEI with different phone types in AT&Ts database that have LTE, I cannot get LTE to work although I'm in an LTE area.
I do get download speeds up to 7 Mbps which is not bad.
Everything else is great about the GN2 and a considerable step up from the GN1: Google Now, long battery life, Near Field Communication, instant responsiveness due to Android Jelly Bean and the Butter Project (better frame rate synchronization, triple buffering and repeat touch anticipation). The GN2 seems slightly slimmer and taller (hello iPhone 5) and the entire outside, including the bevel and screen edges have a very elegant brushed graphite appearance with a lot of "rounded corners" that luckily lack the odd steps the GN1 had. The back is a new flexible polymer which looks and feels good ("liquid metal"), provides good antenna signals and the ability to swap the battery on the fly (rigid back plates are a design oddity that requires the phone be sent in for service (Apple) or it just fails (Dell Streak)). The stylus is more sensitive to different pressure levels and has learned new tricks some of which border wizardry. In another Apple-leske turn (LED behind seemingly solid aluminum), there is a red and a blue LED that shine through brushed metal at the top indicating battery status.
I'll probably sell it once the AT&T version is officially available because I do want great network speeds and state of the art hardware.
I'm close to pulling the trigger on the note 2 unlocked.. Maybe wait for a 32GB...
Do you think Samsung will make a unlock version with LTE to work on USA ATT?
I have the gt-n7100 and will get the EE LTE variant soon after release on 15 October and will post where the differences are between the two models.
Only the n7105 has lte and not the n7100
I have seen the device in the t mobile store in the uk and i can confirm that the n7105 is lte and the n7100 is only 3g and hspa+ hope this helps

[Q] Which Note II to buy

Initially I thought there were two variants of Samsung Galaxy Note 2, N7100 and N7105(LTE) but it looks like there are more.
I checked the NOTE 2 at my local T-Mobile store and it was SGH-T889.
I am planning to buy a (no contract/unlocked) Note 2 with LTE support. I can buy the unlocked N7105 online but it costs $825.
I was thinking of buying the retail t-mobile SGH-T889 for $650 plus taxes but I am concerned:
1) T-mobile support told me that I will not be able to use any other SIM.
2) Even if I get it unlocked from (cellunlocker.net), will I get any carrier LTE coverage ?
I frequently travel (international) so would like to have a Note 2 which supports LTE for multiple carriers ?
As per this Anandtech, T-mobile note 2 was unlocked and it picked up ATT LTE.
Phandroid also confirmed that t-mobile supports LTE.
I had a chat with Negrielectronics support and they informed that n7105 does not support ATT LTE.
Experts, please suggest/confirm if the t-mobile note 2 will support LTE overall ?
Thanks
LTE are carrier specific in the US. US Lte are incompatible with international Lte. That's why there are different models gsm of iPhone 5.
Buy the Lte model for the place where you spend your most time.

[Q] Whats the diffrence of the N7100 and the N7105?

im on the market right now on buying the note 2 but i noticed when searching on line for a good deal is there were 2 versions of the phone? whats the diffrence between the two? and what is the best one to get? thanks
THe only difference is that the N7105 has international Freq for LTE as the N7100 does not
The N7100 is the international model with no LTE the N7105 has the radio support for LTE. I believe both are available unlocked but the N7105 carries a $200 price premium. I just purchased the N7100 version from eBay for $550 and I plan on using it with the $30 per month T-Mobile Walmart plan. I just hope the 1900mhz spectrum is live here in Birmingham, AL so I can use T-Mobile 3G. Otherwise the N7100 usually only gets 3G on AT&T's network. I'm coming off a Verizon plan with two Galaxy Nexus' running $146 a month for 700 min and 4GB data. Hopefully this new plan will work out well so I can save over half off my monthly bill. Good luck!

[Q] Looking to purchase a Note II and had some questions

((( I moved this post from General to Q&A ))
I'm looking a purchasing a Samsung Note II that will be used on AT&T network. Since my upgrade is a year away, I have a Skyrocket that's only a year old, this phone will be a full price for me. I'm trying to find out some specific questions on the different Note II phone types, euro vs North America and what preloaded software differences are between them.
* the Note II that I purchase MUST have 4G LTE (AT&T FINALLY turned on 4G LTE in North East OKLA about 4 weeks ago! ..LOVEING IT).
* 10 minutes after I purchase the phone and verifying that everything is in working order it gets rooted.
I can purchase the phone from AT&T for full retail for 649. Best Buy said they would match that price (we'll see if they really do). When at Best Buy I asked about the preloaded software on the Note II (sense they do not have a working model on the floor) I was told in a blunt tone that it was an AT&T phone so it would work on AT&T's network.
Question---
1. Is the AT&T Note II phone that Best Buy sells have the same preloaded junk that comes on the one at the AT&T store?
2. Is the AT&T Note II phone that Best Buy sells been stripped of some of the Note II futures like the one at the AT&T store?
-- I read on an Amazon review the following http://www.amazon.com/review/R2Q2WM4I4VO8J7/ref=cm_cr_pr_viewpnt#R2Q2WM4I4VO8J7
Be aware that the AT&T version of the Galaxy Note II is currently missing various standard functionality that Samsung is marketing and the other major carriers provide- missing functionality include:
~Multiview
~Group Shot Camera mode - with the ability to change faces
~Mobile data toggle
~Blocking mode toggle
~Screen Recorder
Since I am trying to get the most bang for my buck (a lot of bucks) which Note II phone that will work on AT&T that has 4G LTE should I be looking at?
(note- I suffered waiting on an ICS update from AT&T, so not having to depended on AT&T for my Android updates is a big plus)
Any advise or pointers is appreciated
Thanks
1.yes
2.yes
I will never buy a phone with a att stamp on it.
This PSA was Swyped out on my Paranoid Note 2 N7100
non carrier branded
So if I go with an unlocked phone- non carrier branded, which model number should I get that will work on AT&T and have LTE?
I saw this on another review-
Update: LTE! There are many people commenting about this. Apparently there's a version of the international Note 2 (not the N7100) that sports LTE, the model number is N7105 and it comes with "LTE 700 MHz Class 17 / 2100" (Sources: GSM Arena, Engadget and XDA forums). If you have a N7100 the LTE radio is simply not there. However this is not guarantee that the N7105 will work with AT&T's or Tmo's LTE, it all depends if those frequencies are compilant with those carriers' respective LTE signals. As LTE network compatibility can be a deal breaker for many people within the US, I suggest you to research very well before buying it. If someone can squeeze any info out of AT&T or Tmo, please comment. To shed more light on this issue, you can Google the xda thread 1917383. (Geez, all this makes me feel kinda happy I don't have to worry about LTE compatibility yet).
The only way to get lte with a note on att is with their model. If you can live with out lte the get N7100.in San Diego I get around 8mb down and around 2 up.
This PSA was Swyped out on my Paranoid Note 2 N7100
If you get the N7105, it will have LTE, but in the wrong bands for AT&T.
GT-N7105 (International Note 2): 800/1800/2600
SGH-i317 (AT&T Note 2): 700/850/AWS/1900
See how those don't line up?
I'd just get the 7100. You'll get 21mbps with that on AT&T with HSPA+ and you won't have any carrier BS. HSPA+ is pretty dang quick.
Might want to check this site too http://www.dailysteals.com/ got a good deal on note 2's today.
I am running the 7100 on AT&T in Phoenix. The lack of LTE does not bug me too often as the HSPA+ is good enough for my needs.
However, the OP stated that they would be rooting the phone. As such a clean bloat-free ROM for the AT&T phone would work on LTE. I have not been in the AT&T forums, but I assume there are bloat-free ROMs with all the missing features turned on.

Yes I plan on rooting the phone and installing a clean bloat free ROM. (rant) I just wanted to buy a phone with all the futures the EU version has and without the silly branding/bloat that carriers do, all they do is muck up the phone.
