So my ear mouth piece stopped working any solutions to this or do I have to unroot and relock my phone and go back to stock to have it fixed

Does speakerphone still work? Have you flashed a new kernel recently? I thought I had a kernel issue but it turns out my phone continuously thinks a headset was plugged into it and only loudspeaker worked for calls. My phone is now being fixed under warranty and they are replacing the auxiliary/speaker module.
Get a headset blocker app and try a call, see if the Mic and headphone speaker work then.

I have a really strange problem - my phones speaker has stopped playing all notification sounds and ringtones, but the earpiece speaker is still functioning fine. I've tried almost everything but it doesn't seem to fix it. I've tried:
-Reflashing the image from Google official
-Flashing a non-official image
-Wiping and flashing the Google image
-Those applications that "force" sound out of the speaker in case a headset is in.
Has anyone here had any similar issues and any success resolving it?

In a call, does loudspeaker work?
I had the opposite problem. My earpiece wouldn't work, but my loudspeaker would. Sent back to where i got it from, they deemed to faulty and sent out a replacement.

Nope - it thinks it is on the loudspeaker but there is just silence. Pity, the warranty has recently run out for me! I might have to crack it open and make sure nothing is loose.

You may need a replacement then as it sounds like you've tried all other attempts, just had a look on ebay and they are fairly cheap anywhere from $10-20 for a replacement speaker.
same thing just happened to my phone. Was playing a game when the sound was cutting in and out. Noticed later that the sound from the speakerphone stopped working completely (i can still use the headpiece or headphones).
Is the speaker/vibration assembly connected by one cable? I assume if the phone still vibrates and the headphone jack works, it's just a problem with the speaker and not some kind of connection problem.
i have this problem. Fix with SoundAbout app.

What did you do?
I've been having microphone issues ever since I got my samsung gs3 a few weeks ago. People tell me that my phone sounds like it's on mute or that suddenly I'm faded away because people will say "hello? Are you still there?" Meanwhile I can still hear them fine. It happens on almost every phone call. However, when I use the speaker or my bluetooth headset then it works fine without problems. My phone is not on mute and I have turned of noise reduction and the option to mute phone when turning phone upside down.
Is this a known or common issue or does my phone need to be replaced through samsung warranty? I searched this forum and several other sites, but it doesn't seem like there is a fix.
Thanks.

I got Call Recording working on my m919 TMO 4.4.2 with Fenny's Stock Rom v1.3 using Xposed and then the xposed module and then the S4/S5 app.
But it plays the recording through the speakerphone (so everyone can hear it, no privacy)
.
Is there any way to toggle all sound/music from the speakerphone speaker to the normal phone speaker (the one you use when you put your ear to the phone).
That would be cool, like add it the the toggle menu where wifi, gps, and everything else is...?
Or anything else that can do it?
It should be the normal speaker, how are you playing the recording?

ohhh, call record button wont work with wifi calls. is that a bug in my phone or are we never allowed to record wifi calls?
I don't use call recording so I can't say, however I have recorded one call before and it was fine, but can't remember if it was over WiFi

I meant I want to switch all sound from the speakerphone speaker, to the phone speaker (the one you use when you put your ear to the phone).
Any way to do that?
Is the issue with the recording playback or all audio is playing through the speakerphone?

There is no issue. The phone works exactly like it is supposed to.
I'm just asking, if there was any way to get all sound/audio/music to go to the phone speaker (the one on top/front of the phone), instead of the speakerphone on the back/bottom?
Oh ok, yeah I'm sure there is a way but I haven't seen anything regarding this.. Hopefully someone else can help

When I make calls with speaker on, I can hear the other person but they can't hear me. Just started doing this. Also, Bluetooth speaker has also stopped working, any ideas...?

I had the same problem with the speaker on and no one being able to hear me. Turned out to be a defective phone in my case. Apparently there must be a different mic used for speakerphone calls vs regular calls. Since you also have a bluetooth issue, maybe your problem is different than mine.
just tried hard reset and its still the same, will have to send it back under warranty, major hassle
Flashed 10g again, microphone now works
My son's 5x spontaneously stopped producing sound. No ring, notifications or sound on calls. Mic doesn't work either and can't switch to speakerphone mode. Nothing from headphones. Unlocked Bl but running stock nougat and not rooted. Vibrate works but volume control is not effective.
Any one seen this? Going to try a full wipe and flash tonight. Sucks as I just sold my spare phone though it was a g4; my third one due to boot loop issues. F'n LG!

I have the same problem. Well my Mic works but my sound will randomly come and go. I replaced both speakers to no effect. So it's most likely a part on the motherboard. Sorry for the bad luck
