Hey, does anyone know of a decent USB solar charger? I've seen many, but I'd like to hear from someone on here. Thanks!

Hello everyone,
Is it okay to use my Tilt 2 wall charger for my Ipod Touch 3G? I tried it out this morning and seemed to work fine, but I need to make sure that the Input voltage and amps for the Touch3G is okay with the Output of 5V--1A of my Tilt2 wall charger. If anyone knows the battery specs of their Ipod Touch3G, please tell! I tried searching for it but I guess I didn't search hard enough. Or, if anyone has had experience with this. Thanks in advance everyone!
Regards,
K
I always charge my iPod Touch 2G using HTC chargers. No ill effects...

Hm, I dont think you understood the question. The Tilt2 wall charger has a specific output Voltage and Current. The Touch3G has a specific input on its battery. The input has to be okay with what the Tilt2 charger outputs or else it can result in unnecessary loss of battery life. I've tried it, worked fine, my problem was that I could not find the specs on the Touch3G battery online. I was wondering if anybody had any experience with it, but the question was answered. Thank you.
Regards,
K
All in all, its to save money on buying a stupid wall charger adapter from apple if the tilt2 adpater suffices since you can plug in USB in it.
If you have a look at the second picture of the Apple USB Power Adapter (UK) it looks like it says it has a voltage out of 5v Dc at 1A
http://store.apple.com/uk/product/MB706B/A?mco=MTY3ODQ5OTY#overview so I imagine it should be ok.
Oh man, thank you so much for that one. Best help yet!

Hi guys, I'm aware there are solar chargers out there, but I was wondering if you though the very high power consumption of the SGS2 could be an issue here.
Anyone tried it out?

I wonder if you'd want the USB Wall Charger 2.1A - Black. I can't tell from the description if the one you linked is only going to deliver .5A to the phone.
This Wall Charger has two USB A female ports, one on each side, and provides a total of 1A of charging power.

So if you only plug a cable into one side is it going to send the full 1A through that cable or is it only going to send .5A which would be a slower charge. The SG3 is listed in the description for the 2.1A charger.
Monoprice cables are great. I use them with my chargers. I don't have the premium ones though. I bought this one: 6ft USB 2.0 A Male to Micro 5pin Male 28/28AWG Cable
I'd love to hear what other users have to say.
I bought the premium cable from monoprice, and it works great.

Why not get a genuine samsung charger? I had to get a new charger for my brother's phone (I9001) and did some research. You might find this useful.

Everyone,
This might be a dumb question to some, but I'm a bit paranoid about harming my shiny new N5!
I have an "old" car charger from my Droid RAZR, and I was curious if would harm my new N5 to use it. I occasionally take long-ish trips to visit in laws and stuff, and on Sprint's network especially, roaming can suck up battery like nobody's business.
The car charger I have is rated at 5.1v and 850mA, but I noticed that the N5s wall charger is rated at 5V and 1200mA. Will this damage my N5 or battery life over the long term or anything like that?
I can't post links yet, but the Amazon product code is B005LFXBLE, if anyone is curious about which item I own.
Thanks in advance, experts!

It will work fine. Just charge a lot slower than it would in the wall.

Yeah, I just can't seem to locate an "official" car charger anywhere.
i have one of these and the output is 2.1 amps per plug. add a good quality cable and your set.

Thanks for the link but I'm sure they said Official "CAR" Charger.
The OG RAZR Charger will work fine but like others said any 1A+ 5V car charger will work fine just be careful of quality some cheap ones will cause issues.
There are some car chargers endorsed by others listed in this forum. (I use a $10 2 port charger by Onn I picked up from Wal-Mart that works fine)
The last "Official" LG car charger that LG made/makes (that I could find) is the CLA-305.

Does anyone know of a PMA wireless charger for the car? I've looked high and low, and there's tons of Qi chargers, but only a handful of PMA chargers. And those are all for the home, which I don't need. I need one in my car.
I'd appreciate any help anyone might have on this.
