Take a look in the Android Development Area for threads about them from Devs
Current Roms can be used as daily Drivers as long as you're ok with no Camera and there's a problem with Audio not going back to the loud speaker after a call.

Until sony start releasing sources for a offical jb release on the xperia line devices. Cm10 would never be a daily driver rom period. Sorry Im just stating my opinion.
Yep. Needs support from $ony.

x1rocket,
I tested Alarm Clock Plus on the KXP ROM and everything works great. It's compatible, it rings and vibrates when supposed to, and the math problems work fine, too. Hope this helps!
Thanks so much for your time testing...

Um, the CM10/KXP for Play can't be more stable since there isnt any alpha from Sony. If they would do it, the build will be 10x times faster!

I can confirm that camera is NOT working on the KXP ROM.
I just flashed the AOKP KXP ROM. It is pretty smooth.
But I am facing issue with using Link2SD. Anyone else with this issue? I could not find anyone reporting this/any solution for this.
Kindly advice.
If Sony releases JB Alpha for Xperia Ray than yep.

Im not sure of all the ICS ROMs as I haven't even tried AOKP or CM9, but I think the official ports have working video without graphics issues. I don't think anyone is basing their Rom off beta anymore.

I have had some success in getting the camera working in CM10 by recompiling the kernel with PMEM support and including the libsurfaceslinger_client.so file from CM9. The kernel i have used is the latest from the cyanogen git repo so the patch should work fine with the FXP 141 release.
After applying the update zip file attached here you should be able to use the camera.
Sourcecode: https://github.com/dmcoles/sony-kernel-msm8660
Release history
v0.2 - tweaked changes - should now have less impact on gpu. (10/Oct/2012)
v0.1 - first release - many gpu problems with this version. (4/Oct/2012)
Excellent! This is a huge victory for our Xperia S if devs can build on this.
Thank you so much.
PMEM? Good (now there are some chances to use cm10 as daily Rom without dualboot) but old way
Thanks

Hi Guys,
Please suggest a custom stable ROM for best battery life. I have Samsung Wonder which i think is not very old and has very good battery. I recently rooted it and installed CyanogenMod 10.1, this ROM is great and on full charge it gives around 12-13 hours of battery life with Wifi On.
I normally turn On wifi and email exchange application, so please let me know if we have more option to increase battery life.
Thanks all
I suggest you One of a Kind.

This device doesn´t support auto brightness. Neither in the stock ROM, nor in custom ROMs. There is simply no light sensor to support autobrightness. This device only offers a proximity sensor which also works in CM9 and this is telling me you have no clue what you are talking about.

So just because you faced some flickering while browsing you are claiming this ROM is not stable?
I assure you it´s way more stable than a stock ROM can be and this flickering means nothing. Probably the most unstable part is located in front of the LCD and pressed some buttons while browsing.
This is a screenshoot of my CM9 and it can last up to 7 days with one charge:
i am sorry honeyx that I posted my short experience of using this ROM
I did fresh install of Cyanogenmod 10.1.3 using CWM. The ROM is great, most stable of the ones I used (official ICS, Liquid Nitro and some other ICS based) it has very few random reboots, and I think that SD card is a reason to that. I really like the CM 10.1.3 but problem is that games simply work slowly. I have installed Fruit Ninja 1.8.8 which worked fine on other ROMs I tried but here it works slowl, and Subway Surfers for example won't even open. Is there any fix to this?
Also by the way... Should I flash p936 baseband since I live in Europe?
Any of the CM or AOSP based ROMs will give you poor gaming performance. Only ROMs based on official ICS will have the performance needed IMHO. With that being said, currently I am running NitroTNT, which gives me the best balance of battery, performance and stability. You might also try SphinX which is based off of official Jellybean. Even though it isn't as good as ICS for games, it still is a lot better than CM.

Why might this be? Is it because the official-based roms use the kernel for this phone while CM uses a CM-based kernel? Can we maybe get CM10.1.3 working with an official jellybean-based kernel? @lyfkevin maybe you can provide some input.
