What is this exactly? Where did you get this system build from? It looks like stinebd's stock build, which i label as "reference" since its untouched.

Hmm, just got back into town and see the bashing continues. Reef, did you actually download and examine my file to come to this conclusion? I've been running Xdandroid for 3 months. I don't remember when I updated to 2.2..I believe it was July. All of my IPhone Geekers are asking me how to Jailbreak there devices(I haven't got a clue and don't plan on it). It is great work here and I am excited, looking forward to continuos great work. Positive injection..

Good. We are all disgusted when people steal things and try to claim them as their own.
Maybe if you said where it came from, how you put it together, or highlighted HOW it's different from other builds that are already posted, we would be MUCH more receptive... But from your first post, it just looks like you stole it and tried to pass it off as something you built. That is just shameful, and will NOT be tolerated on this forum.

I didnt see any claim of ownership, unless the post was edited.
A history of the files and such of course would be helpful. And credit given to those who actually created the files is a no-brainer.
But still, I know XDA is the "big leagues", but cant we be a bit nicer? For all we know, this guy could be the next big thing. Just saying...

he edited his first post saying that he has a working froyo he never said it was his but it looked like it since he hasn't given any credit to whomever that build belongs to

in the OP he said it was not reef's build. He's not taking credit, but he's not giving it either, which is probably what bothered most of the people in this thread.

It took me a whole 3 minutes tops, because I know how to use the SEARCH button. and I can't SPAM a USELESS thread, this will be deleted once you waste a Mods time and they get around to it.

I have to check the website. Curious if there is a way to block users who spam the forum. I actually hope a mod deletes it, nobody wants to hear your useless arguing. As for me creating useless threads, I think I have created 3 threads total so far, and one of them helped quite a few people with their alarm clock issues.
For now I am just going to manually ignore you guys. Type away at me, not even going to bother reading them. I will be the mature one.

Is this OTA dump kosher.
I may not be getting OTA in my location. So I went fishing and came across this.

They claim it is the same as the OTA but since it can be RUU'ed will work on all phones, incl. those with modification to the ROM.
Has anybody tried this one? Also, since I have never gone the RUU route some additional instructions will be most welcome.

If you are not s off, just flash it. If it has been tampered with than the update should fail. It isn't todays ota though, it is the one from a few weeks ago.

Presumably the flashing involved copying the file (with changed name) to SD card root. Remove the USB cable and then do <volume down> + <power>. I hope the follow up is pretty simple and straight forward. I do not have much Android experience.

Wow, you really shouldn't make fun of people for grammar or spelling. English might not be their first language.
Unfortunately there are people out there that are so miserable and desperate in their own lives that they enjoy negative attention. After reading a few of his posts it would appear that his XDA posts are the most complex and meaningful conversations he has in the day. It would appear that the number of responses, good or bad, is how he measures his self worth. Hopefully he can mature and grow as a person. Hopefully he can find it much more rewarding to justify his existence with the number of people he helps, rather than the number he annoys.

[Q] T-Mobile Data Usage Check on Rooted S3?

OK, so I have a rooted S3 running the FrostyJB ROM. When I try using the USSD code to check my data usage (#932#), I get a message that my account is not set up for that feature. Also, both the TMO My Account app and the mytmobile website do not show my data usage, although they do show usage for minutes and text messages.
I ran into a TMO store, and they couldn't figure it out but said it may be due to root. Thoughts? I would like to be able to check my data usage, and every time I flash a ROM, it resets the data usage stats on the phone. Very annoying.

Does your IMEI in the About Phone section match whats on the back of your phone under the battery? Just a stab in the dark with that one...

Just the tag of Moderator or Senior Member, seems to bring out the SH1TS in some people. There are some mods that have HUGE Signature tags and that in itself takes far more space than a small question, and they post nasties on other users in the forum, declaring why the post was moved, etc.. Some of them think they s4it ice cream and pi$$ Coca Cola.... Can't let it take the rest of us members of the forum down. Most of us recognize the childish a$$hole behavior and ignore them. Samsung got the money from you for their phone. Now the deal is over and they never said that they will release this and that. Get a real life dude. If it is truly released for duos then there wont be any reason for us to be able to port it to Y. Why trouble them?
