[Q] Case Question - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I've searched and read lots of several threads but most of them seem to elude to cases (and other accessories) tailored to specific branding of the Nexus. So I'm having a tough time finding a case, such as the Ballistic MAXX case for my phone. Can someone tell me which device I need to sue as a reference? Will cases for the GS III work for my Nexus? I think the one I have on it now (a simple Pt case from Best Buy) was for a GS III.
Thanks.

I use the Otterbox Commuter case for my Galaxy Nexus -- it's provided great protection for other phones I've owned and in the case of the GNex, does not add a lot of additional weight.

Galaxy S III cases will NOT fit.
I use Incipio's two-layer Silicrylicâ„¢ case, I don't need a screen protector.

I'm not sure how I missed this case, but does anyone have any experience with it? Any reviews?

They fit pretty good and have a good feel in hand, but a little bulky IMO, its very close to diztronic cases but these are hard d case.
They are also very hard to get off the phone at least in my experience.

[Q] Best Case Hands Down for CDMA GALAXY Nexus?

I'm in the market to buying a case for the soon to be release Sprint GALAXY Nexus, and I want to know which case is the best. I love Otterbox, but I heard that they are way too thick for the Galaxy Nexus. So what case is the must have for this device?
Yo Korey, long time no see (SPJ).

Long time dude! Incipio Double Case? I read a review on that. I keep hearing Incipio and Casemate, I've never even heard of casemate though
Why buy a case? It makes the GNex look ugly and some kind of oversized. Better get yourself a phonebag (not sure if you know what I mean. Me no americano ^^)

Galaxy Nexus Incipio Silicrylic

Picked up an Incipio Silicrylic for my (GSM) Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Great form factor & snug fit for a Hybrid case. Its build quality is top notch as we've come to expect from Incipio. The case offers good protection & can handle most mid range impacts. I had a friend try it on his Sprint GNex and I must say that it wasn't a perfect fit. Even though most sites say it's compatible with the CDMA version.(It's NOT) but is capable of handling the extended battery for the GSM version.
Anymore pics from your phone? How's the silicone on the bottom part? Floppy? Sturdy? Does it collect much dust?
The silicon is actually pretty sturdy and it's not that prone to being ripped. I have all black version, and it collects dust like mad..
My Incipio Silicrylic with a SU vinyl decal. Loving this case so far.

Can anyone confirm that it can house the GSM extended battery?
it'll fit with the extended battery but it does leave a gap on the backside. I've had it since release day. the gap isn't very noticeable.

How much was it?

i just ordered the white/grey one straight from incipio and it was on sale for $17.99 and i got it in 3 days from CA to CT.
I have this case on the LTE verizon GN, and it works great.
I often use the official extended battery, though it is a somewhat tight fit for this case. As noted for the GSM extended battery above, it does push the bottom of the case out a bit, so there is a slight gap. Removing the battery cover will get rid of the gap, but I tend to leave the cover on and ignore the gap.
Anyone wanna buy mine? I like it but I'm changing to something else...might just go with a skinomi skin...$15... PM me if interested...

Hey, can you write anything about the screen protector or is it useless? I mean, do I need to buy another protector or can I use the one attached to the case?
Thanks!
Hows the lint attraction on these things?

The lint attraction is pretty much non-existant. Gets an A+ on that subject. As for the screen protector Incipio includes with the case. It's terrible, very cheap. I actually threw it out. But the case overall is one of the best I've used and I've spent a small fortune looking for solid cases. Incipio has proven to be a great brand.

My friend has this on her Nexus. I felt like it made it too bulky for my liking. But it's definitely a great case that gives good protection.
I bought the grey and white one which i really like. To bad the black one would attrack dust and lint just by looking at it to hard!
My GF has this case on the Verizon GNexus and it fits really well. Well made and the smoother backing makes it easier to pocket. Silicone does collect some dust but since its so little surface area, its not that bothersome. It seems like it would really protect well but I'm not going to test that out!
Perseus by Trident
So, I ordered finally a trident perseus orange, looks good, have heard that doesn't give bulk to GNEX and provides light drop protection. In fact there is a discount at tridenteer.com 25% and free shipping in the US, I ordered it to Poland and payed 15$ with shipping over the ocean! Maybe I'll make some review after I got it

New Galaxy Nexus Owner

I have recently purchased a new GN and I am waiting for it to arrive. I wanted to go ahead and buy a case for it(thinking hard about S-Line TPU Wave) but I have a quick question. The S-Line Waves on Amazon all say(Verizon) or (Verizon Wireless) beside them. Are the dimensions different for GSM/CDMA phones? Or will any Galaxy Nexus case fit any Galaxy Nexus? Thanks. Also, any S-Line TPU Wave case owners care to offer an opinion? I saw the review here on the sticky, and it seems like exactly what I want.

The Verizon/Sprint version is about 0.5 millimeters thicker than the GSM version, but generally generic Galaxy Nexus cases will fit on both versions. I found this version on Amazon, I think it is the one you are referring to: (just copy the following and search for it on amazon, XDA won't let me post links)
BasalCase(TM) Samsung Galaxy Nexus TPU S-Line Wave Case - Smoke [BasalCase Retail Packaging]
The description says that this case is for the i9250, which is the code for the GSM version, and the phone shown in the picture appears to be a GSM Nexus, so I think it would be a good fit for your new phone.
Thanks so much!

(Poll) What case manufacturers do we need to start petitions for?

Tuesday, September 11, 2012
XDA Members & Note 10.1 Owners:
Okay. So now we finally have a means of purchasing the official Samsung book cover for our wonderful tablets; but where's the variety? Are we to only have leather folio or Samsung book cover as our choices? I'm noticing a serious lack of variety in the accessories department here. Even my Tab 7.7/GT-P6810 (Which was a total flop; due to price, not quality. It was the best tablet I've ever owned.) had a decent selection of cases.
So which accessory and/or case manufacturers do we need to start petitions for.... Otterbox, Ballistic, Spigen, Speck, Trident, CaseMate, Belkin? Personally, I think a shiny black Speck Candyshell to match the one on my GT-N7000 would be perfect. They do scuff something aweful though. Maybe an Otterbox Commuter; not to flimsy, not too bulky? What do you guys think? Post below!
Thank you,
Edward (Mister_Mxyzptlk)

Unless someone can point me toward an alternative
I really enjoyed my case for my nook color by JAVOedge. Tweed Book Case.
They had made cases for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 Austin Axis Case.
I like the fact that their Galaxy Tab 10.1 case didn't use the standard cover the bezel approach to hold it that so many case manufactures like to do was a major plus to me. I just want something that isn't completely leather or plastic. If I could just find a holder like that for the Note 10.1 I would try to Frankenstein that Axis case for my Note 10.1.
I would love to have a Trident Kraken or Otter Defender. I sent an email to Trident asking if they had plans for a note 10.1 case but didn't get much of a response out of them.

I also had a really nice case for my NOOK Color. It was an Otterbox Commuter. I used it on my NOOK Tablet too. It was fantastic! I got rid of my NOOK Color in December and my NOOK Tablet in February; but I still have the Commuter case. I really wish I would have kept my NOOK Tablet. That was such a cool little gadget. Personally, I think gadgets are more fun when you have to hack them and repurpose them to do what you want. Hacking the NOOK Tablet and turning it into a fully functional tablet was just a lot of fun. It made me really appreciate the thing. Between my NOOK Tablet and my Galaxy Tab 7.7 (GT-P6810), I don't know which one I regret selling more. They were both so great.
Anyway, with that being said, I'd really like to see a Commuter case made for the Note 10.1. I would say that a Defender case might be better; but as a case meant for a tablet, I think that the gummy, silicone feel of a Defender case would be a little weird. I absolutely loved the feel of the hard plastic outer shell on my NOOK Tablet's Commuter case. It felt nice and solid, but not gummy and/or overly bulky. I'd like to petition Otterbox for a Commuter case. Would you guys jump on if I started a Note 10.1 Commuter case petition thread?

Otterbox
Incase
SpeckProducts
I'm more interested in a Hard Case type, something like a Defender from Otterbox. I went on Facebook for Otterbox and asked if they had plans to release a case for the Note 10.1, there response was "Not at this time"
I think there are a lot of cases out of the Note 10.1, at first there weren't but there are now.

There are a lot but seems like 3 maybe 4 styles but multiple companies making variants on those styles. My issue is I want some variety of the materials used. The look of the PU leather is overdone and boring.

Ugh! Another leather folio for the Note 10.1... just what the world needs. Where the **** are the cases that actually protect the device? A little polycarbonate and silicone would be nice.

I'd get a Trident case if I could get them to make one.
When I had my (ahem, ahem) iPad, I really enjoyed this case, it was not that cheap when I bought it, but it was my favorite:
Click on the pics to go to Amazon website. This thing provided the most protection anything under $50 could buy. The back grooves felt really nice on your palm and you could have held it for hours.
