There are plently of threads on this already but basically there are 2 versions of the Note 2. the N7100 is the international NON LTE version relying on HSPA+ and there is the N7105 which (in the UK) will be released on the 15th October and is the LTE version and will be compatible on the upcoming 4G services offered by EE etc...

[Q] Will the same GSM version varies among conuntries?

noob questions sorry in advance!
I would like to know if the baseband version, kernel and build number of the NG sold by different countries varies
If it does so will the difference affect the OTA update process?
Also, can anyone bought from the uk confirm that the warranty by samsung is 2 years and the international warranty is for UK only or EU region or anywhere?
THanks
anyone
All the current ones have been sold in the UK. There might be different regional firmwares bu we don't know for sure until they start showing up.

I was wondering because someone over at galaxy note said his phone came from another country and he could do a firmware update, I now firmware and apps are different but for any chance anything like this happening with a google device ! just curious

I know that the nexus went on sale in Korea on the 28th. I have not bought it but i do know that the model number is SHW 420S/K, which is different from the GT I9250 sold in the UK. I am also wondering the same thing. Will the hardware be the same? Will you be able to run I9250 roms on this?

I know of only two places selling the N7105 in the US and Australia
http://www.mobicity.com.au/samsung-galaxy-note-2-4g-lte-n7105.html
http://negrielectronics.com/samsung-n7105-galaxy-note-ii-16gb-unlocked-marble-white.html
Both list as LTE 800 / 1800 / 2600, and both are pre-order expected to ship late October!
Just as a note I have not ordered from either site previously, and am waiting to order my N7105 until it's released / on more sites!
Edit - also seen on this site

gt-n1700 vs n7100

I'm trying to figure this one out. On Amazon, I have a retailer selling both the GT-N7100 and the N7100... Does anyone know if there is a difference between the two part numbers? I'm looking to use it on At&t... I know that they designate the GT-N7100 as the intl. version, but I've never bought/used an international version, let alone an at&t/gsm phone (switching over from sprint)

[Q] Where to Buy ? Note II 4G LTE Sim Free for use with O2

I'm looking into getting one of these & have a very good priced Sim Only deal with O2.
Anyone know where I can get the 4G LTE Version (model N7105) & does it come unlocked to all Networks (Preferably in Grey) ?
I'm thinking of going this route so I can see how the whole 4G situation works out in the UK & it would mean I could later get a Sim Only 4g deal.
No reponses ?
In the meantime, I have found that Orange UK sell the LTE version, so I could buy it there & then get it unlocked.
I would save your money until o2 have LTE enabled.... By then the note 3 (or 4) will be out.
Sent from my Samsung Note II.
Vodafone store they come factory unlocked
£580

O2 dont have LTE yet. Get a normal N7100 and save your money. The N7100 has better battery life than the N7105. I know because I had them both and Now settled with N7100. I bought mine from amazon but make sure when you buy from there it is directly amazon selling the phone not a third party seller.

Can't find it as PAYG on the site, is this in store only ?
If O2 has dc-hsdpa the n7105 will still get faster speeds than an n7100 even without 4g/lte, as the n7100 doesn't support dc-hsdpa whereas the n7105 does.

Anyone know for sure if the O2 Payg model is the LTE (7105) version ? I have done online chat with 2 different advisors, 1 says yes the other says no !
This is slightly cheaper than Orange & I wouldnt have to get it unlocked for my sim.

Plus with the LTE the resale value should be a bit better & I have the option of getting a 4g payg sim down the line

Which model for use in the USA?

Hello,
I am quite interested in purchasing this device! I live in Washington D.C. and I was curious which model of the phone is best suited for use in America? I ask because I assume there are probably different model numbers depending on what region the phone is purchased from.
Thanks

Link to where you see it please.
I cant find an FCC cert for that model and only see it listed on Samsung India's site:
https://www.samsung.com/in/smartphones/galaxy-a70-a705g/SM-A705GZWHINS/#specs
And from what I can see, that will not work in North America
good news is I found another version that should work so that brings us to
SM-705MN
SM-A705YN
SM-705W*
* for the SM-705W I have not seen the cert myself, but going off information another posted listed on XDA

Yes Samsung Pay Works On The A70..
But... Samsung Pay is : "Region Specific" depending on Model in a given Region. . So, choose your model carefully.

I have the SM-705MN and i can confirm that samsung pay WILL NOT WORK here in the USA.
I was wondering if anybody had the M or W and if it worked on theirs?
And if so could we swap firmware?
or even possibly change the CSC with out flashing the firmware?

Simply Put..
There is NO WAY, NO FIRMWARE SWAP, NADA... ZIP.. That Samsung Pay will work on ANY A70 in the United States Of America.
Period..
If Google Pay does not cut if for you.. time to return / sell your device and get a S6, S7, S8, S9, S10, Note 5, Note 8, Note 9, or wait for the Note 10.. if S-Pay means that much to you.
You can buy the A50 through Sprint.. and have a working Samsung Pay MINI in the U.S.A. as an alternative..
Until I found out Google Pay works in 99% of the place I personally shop.. I was going to return my A70 and go for one of the mentioned device listed above.
I still might... there is something just not feeling right about this purchase.. Great Battery, Fingerprint is Ok for me, Face Unlock is very fast.. even in the dark, 6.7 inch screen seems to be where screens are headed, Amoled is... Amoled the best. You can't root and trip knox, and use Samsung Pay on any device.. even though there appears to be a workaround for using Google Pay.. But I'm fine not rooting with Developer's not having any interest in this device and TWRP seems like a distant dream at this point..
So, why am I just not feeling this device?.. It seems perfect on so many fronts.. but.... with Prime Day coming in a couple of weeks.. and also having thoughts of spending $270.00 more and getting the One Plus 7 Pro.. I just don't know what it is about the A70 for me.. but something is missing at this price point..
Maybe the rumored A507 and A707 ( A50 and A70 ) updated models which are due out later this year will get sold through U.S. carriers or get offered by Samsung directly in the U.S.A. but I'm sure those will be Late 2019 releases. But if they do get released in the U.S. at least the A70 would have Samsung Pay support out of the box.
Sorry to bump an old thread, but just to be clear, the best model for use in the USA would be the SM-A705W (the Canadian model)?
