Is there an fps drop while in landscape mode? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Coming from galaxy note on JB whenever i switch to landscape mode whether it is in the browser, you tube, music player, there is a CLEAR AND NOTICEABLE drop in fps that decrease smoothness compared to portrait mode. Is the nexus users experiencing this also or is it just a not problem?

I've actually noticed this too but the transparency isn't helping my cause
I believe its because landscape uses more real estate than portrait.

[Q] Does anyone else's GNex have low UI FPS in landscape?

This goes beyond the landscape typing issue. No matter what rom, kernel or CPU governor I use, this phone's FPS goes into the tank in landscape mode.
List scrolling is noticeably bad. Animations are choppy. In portrait mode, things could not be better. It's like this phone is doing an extra set of transformations just to rotate the UI 180 degrees before going any animations.
Mine works fine

Lag while viewing video in Pop-up window

Do you experience lag with the TM-Note 2 and when a pop-up window is opened and playing a video?
I kinda do.

No, not from stock video and pop out browser with ADW launcher
Maybe you should clear the memory before playing the video and see if it still has any lag..
If I have a video playing in pop-out and if I am swiping between panes in Touchwiz, there is noticeable lag in the while changing panes. Do you experience the same in this case?

I have absolutely no lag going through panes, even with a live wallpaper running with 720p video [dont have 1080p to test atm]. Something is probably hogging your cpu resources.

What screen mode is the video player?

i.e. the saturation/sharpness changes when playing something in video player
This is kind of hard to explain but if you play a video and watch the display difference especially noticable in the status bar at the top
What is this and is there any way to use it as the default display setting?

Movie mode, I'd presume. I guess I didn't notice it since I'm always in "Natural" mode, which is pretty close to "Movie" mode in terms of contrast etc.

[Q] Portrait or Landscape

Do you tend to hold your Nexus in portrait orientation or landscape?

Seriously, who uses it in landscape, except for video. That's just weird.
Agreed. I use portrait if I'm watching something or in rare occasions want to read something in landscape. It's too hard to type in landscape.

I use mine mostly for watching videos and surfing the net so it's always in landscape mode.
Interesting. I came from a 10 inch tab that was setup for landscape. I grew accustomed to it and carried it over to the Nexus. Now holding it in portrait seems weird. .
Landscape ... Potrait us way too wierd.....
