Anyone else finding viewing photos in gallery very slow?

Gallery is funky in Note 2. I am having the same problems. Especially zooming in and out. It's extremely sluggish. I installed "QuickPic" from play store instead. It's a free gallery app and it works like a charm.
Whoa... That's odd. I'm not having that issue so far. Are those pictures in external sdcard? Which class sdcard are you using? Try clearing gallery data/cache?

Yes, the pictures are on external class10 32GB Samsung sd card . I cleaned gallery data/cache, but it is acting the same.
I installed "Quickpic" and it is working flawlessly.

I am not experiencing that issue. Just a heads up
Gallery issue
I discovered the issue: in Gallery menu, choose View by, and choose Content in device. The gallery works normally after that.
The problem is that when you close the gallery and reopens you have to do the same. The Gallery doesn't keep the setting...
Does anybody know how to do keep the setting permanently?

To change your default storage for your pictures you need to go into the settings portion of your camera app and change from phone to memory card.

Does anyone know why my sd card might be corrupting the files in my note 2. Its corrupting music video and photos. Its getting extremely annoying. I formatted to exfat and fat32 the phone is about to go out the window

Try a different card first. See if it's the card or the phone. RMA the culprit.
Would I be correct in assuming you have a Sandisk Card?

I have an 8gb and 16gb and they work fine. I was thinking that the phone might not support the card but idk.

Hello guys
I have took 20/25 photos, and some of them have disappeared somehow...
those photos are stored in my SD card
I just can't figure out what the issue is..
its weird that the other photos are still in my SD card....

install some SD card data recovery app in PC and try recovering them. i cant guess how they go missing automatically!?

i cant find one, all of them is with $
I noticed I can no longer create folders or copy to sd card from the note. I have to connect through USB to save to micro sd card. I believe the 4.4 has something to do with this. For security?
This sucks, if I had known I wouldn't of update.
Is anyone that took OTA 4.4 have same issue. Or found a work around. ?

EStrongs file explorer. Root not required. :good:
I have no problem doing this using the My Files app that is included with your device. If you are trying to use a third party file explorer from the Play Store then you may have problems as 4.4.2 locks down access to the SD card for third party apps.
I noticed I have two new camera picture folders when I review images on phone now...

Yea but if your trying to download via ttorrent or similar it gives permission error. Only way to get it on sdcard is to download to internal memory then move to sd.

One is for burst shot the other for camera. If those are the 2 you refer to. I have a few cause of the 3 camera apps I have lol

I dont have burst enabled at all. In Album I have Camera with 1,677 images and another Camera with 51 images. I think this was my fault come to think about it :silly: I just realized that my SD card was almost full and at some point I changed the camera to store on internal memory. I think this was it? LOL
