Headset popping and cracking - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

I've searched it and some seem to have this problem the only app that doesn't seem to have a problem is power amp. I get popping sound from every other app. What seems to be the problem? I'm running xquizit jb leak
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium

Only happens with music players.... Not power amp and YouTube is fine... I also had this problem when the phone was stock
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium

Try removing musicfx.apk and replace with dsp manager (ive heard v3 is best)

You have the newest baseband, but older software. Update ur rom/ firmware to the newest version
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app

Updating firmware may help, though i doubt it has anything to do with the baseband. Baseband is the version of your modem which is used for the cell/wifi radio.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app

I had that issue with my wife's phone. Tried everything even reset to factory didn't help. Only power amp worked, so I called up T-Mobile and got a replacement yesterday and all is good.

Have you tried checking the headphone jack itself? I once got some lint inside and so with it not going all the way in I would get some noise because it wasn't secure.. lint was stuck at the bottom end of the hole. Goodluck!

Just to clarify, try flashing the latest official build. UVALH2. Since youre on a jb leak theres really no telling....
If no one else has the issue you may want to redownload and reflash but make sure you wipe everything including internal sd.

REDICULOUSLY SLOW DATA on PA 2.51

I'm using paranoid android 2.51, and lean kernel 1.6 with the UVLI8 radio and my data is VERY slow even with full bars. Do any of you guys have this problem?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
Have you tried different radio's and have you edited your build prop at all. I'm using uvlh3 baseband with the same kernel and rom as you and I get great speeds
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
Also, check your data usage. You may have been throttled if you went over your quota.

Try flashing a different room after you backup and see if you still have the problem... If so then Odin back to full stock and see if it persists.. If so from them go to your nearest Tmobile store and have them take a look

3G/H+ issue in AOSP ROMs

Hey guys, I guess this has been reported before but I've never seen solutions or explanations for it. On AOSP ROMs, data works when it displays "H+", when its in "3G", it stops working, but thing is, sometimes I have to turn off data and back on again for it to work properly because it stays stuck in 3G
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T999 using xda premium
That's a rom related issue, not all aosp ROMs have that issue.

You can use it, though it hasn't been updated in a very long time. Only thing we know of so far for the md5 heat issue is to use a different modem.
You can flash any modem as long as it is for your model.

I would ODIN back to Stock as suggested by kaos420. Then work from there. Also since you are so far from a Sprint store, they will ship the device to you if you let them know.

Apparently it fixes all issues that the previos kernel versions had (auto rotate, camera, etc.) I am gonna try to see if air command works with it and ill report back.
EDIT: flashed newest kernel and air command on r8-1 got a bunch of force closes and had to reflash.

I tried this and it comes up that it cannot find a network as I can only connect to HSPA AWS on Wind in Canada, I am guessing there is no other fix right now?
Im with wind mobile as well as after flashing the rom and modem I get the same signal as always. Now heres my prob, I flashed the rom then the moden, rebooted and everything was fine. I then installed the devil kernel and the update and now Im getting force closes. Rebooted and wiped all and still the same thing.
Did I mess something up here?

Note 2 storage problem.

I just checked my phone for storage and realised that 21gb was photos and videos but my phone is the 16gb model. I also have have about 150 photos in my phone but no videos... Is this just a glitch? Or is it something more serious?
Thanks.
