Is there anyway to reable the screenshot on specific rom? - G2 and Desire Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm using ARHD 6.3.3 atm..I did flash a lot of fix and mod..and its seems my screenshot feature(hold power button and home) has broken, any idea I can fix it?I don't want to use 3rd party apps,as they stay in the background for awhile only,(my minfree are high) thus making me unable to make screenshot..any help would be appreciated

I don't know of a way to enable it in a rom itself but I have used a program called shootme in the past and it seems to be a very light weight and solid app.

Is arhd is ics? If so just use inbuilt ics screenshot hold down power button plus volume down at the same time

Wiped data with cm7

Hi people,
Go a question about cm7. I really like the rom, and want to use it. I have had it installed with data2ext script. All's going good until I restart the phone. Then all of my user data is wiped. I have to log on to most apps again except for market and my contacts were still there. Even the wallpaper had changed. Anybody got a clue. Is it the d2e script?
Thanx in advance for any replys!

[Q] Unlock via Power Button Lag

I'm using CM7 and when I unlock the phone I have to press the power button multiple times. Usually it takes just 1 press. There's no hardware problem since locking the phone requires just 1 press.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Have u got ur CPU turned really down it might slow the process

Nope. I'm back to MIUI and there's no problem. I really liked CM7 since it's super fast. But this "problem" is a holding me back.
Have u tried flashing rom again see if that works for ya

Multitasking on custom ROMs.

Hey.
I recently flashed PyramidMOD007 v.11 and lost multitasking ability. (Same reason I left Evolution3D, besides the lags). Anyone with an idea how to restore multitasking? It sucks having to run each app afresh after hitting home.

Install a lighter rom.

Any pointers? I'm all for performance, but who doesn't like to impress?

If you use something liek GO Launcher as a home screen replacement, you can get some mighty-nice homescreen set ups.
Once you can do that, you'll find the ultimate performance is in AOSP ROMS. Who knows, you may even like the look of MIUI

No apps no cached processes no ram. Can't even start keyboard

So the title says it all. After ~1h of use my one x runs out of ram while not using it for cache or apps. I realize that unused ram is wasted ram but what is happening to me is definitely not normal. After a while after reboot all apps immediately closes after use, app drawer including. I can barely start keyboard. And settings shows that there is no cached processes which is unusual. I'm using icj 3.8. Any advice would be appreciated

Tried a different ROM or kernel? Perhaps Sense as opposed to AOSP?
That's definitely not normal.
No, but before this the rom worked well. I want to keep changing the rom or cleanly reinstalling it as the last resort option, because it is the most time consuming.

Then it's likely down to a specific app with a memory leak.
Start working backwards and uninstall apps one at a time until it goes away again.
Wouldn't that show in settings running apps and services? I tried stopping all and using task killer but that didn't help

Not necessarily.
You can shut down the app itself and remove it from the list, but it's possible the leakage is remaining memory resident.
Thanks didn't think it was possible
