My guess would be "General" or "Q&A" since this is a question/request and not an actual port...

It is just a way to protect the Development section from bull**** posts like this. Just participate in Q&A or post in General in the Rumor thread. You can get 10 posts in 10 minutes there.

That is what Q&A section is for. Then after getting the question answered the user gains knowledge they can pass on. The 10 posts are easily reached that way.

Just post a legitimate question in Q&A and respond with thank you's and what is the best way to do that's and you will hit 10 posts in less than a day. And then you are good to go. People using the ROMs that have answers read Q&A too.

Both u and I have seen how nubes destroy dev threads with comments/issues that have A) either been posted in the op or B) previusly stated....with that being said I have no intention of bein a pain in anyones ass I just feel...restricted in a sense....like a little kid that was told he can play in the play ground but not talk to anyone...but for the right reasons...

There was a link in the miui thread for the newer version at 4shared....I was wondring why it was only 4kb wehn I downloaded it but at the 4shared site it said it was 90 sumthing mb...BUT....I came back later nd download it...

Like all things new people have to suffer for past people abusing or screwing something up. It is a protection from Spammers and people just popping on, saying something stupid and they're gone. It is only for the development section where posts should be more professional and intelligent. 10 posts are nothing. But it is a small safety. Perhaps if the OP was worded more professionally the flaming would not have started.

If you've been reading the threads (which I'm sure you have), you'll find the Epic community is the most helpful, most welcoming one around. Trust me, I work on the Evo 4G as well and the Epic boards are much more tight-knit.
Having said that- did you get the answer to the MIUI issue? Sounds like it was just a bad download...

First off. I'm a noob. I am not a complete noob, but i do have lots of questions.
I was searching for how to unlock a "Photon 4G" from Sprint or an "HTC Evo 4G" from Sprint and ran across this:

Now, in the title of that threat it sais "Unlocked".
I've read and it looks like a normal ROM, so i'm thinking maybe i just don't know the dev "Jargon" and it means something completely different than allowing the phone to use a different carrier. Any help on clarifying this for me would be awesome.
Oh, and what exactly is "Boot Loader Unlock" ??

So did you just choose a random forum to call home? You do realize that forums are named after the phone that is talked about there... the epic is cdma so it is 'unlocked' by default.

What? If it was "unlocked" we'd be able to roam on att
But op a bootloader unlock is so you can start flashing roms. I think what you're looking for is "sim unlock". Its usually just a code you gotta put in and then you can use your phone on any carrier, as long as its a world phone

How is it inappropriate? Nowhere in Frost's reply does it get perverse, or "out of hand" I don't understand what the two of you meant by "Respect" that's wrong usage. Perhaps have some "sympathy" fits the bill but respect? Dude, this OP is in the real world, not Elementary School. It doesn't matter if someone is a criminal or a saint respect is deserved by all. Nobody is entitled to show disrespect to anyone there is no reason to justify it. And Frost comment was the right one to say. The negative tone he directed at he OP was utterly disrespectful. I'm not seeking to start an argument with anyone, because idk anyone on her personally, so your opinion of me doesn't matter. But, what does bother me is the entitlement people get out of sites like these, where they feel as they can talk to anyone how they please knowing that in public he/she is coochieness. I love all of the development and incredible ROMs that all the developers put out. Your hard work is much appreciated by everyone on XDA without question.
