Hello there,
i wanted to write in the cynogenmod thread but ist not permitted with under 10 posts.
My problem is, that I unlocked the bootloader and rooted my htc one x.
Everything went without errors also cwm 5.8.4.0.
Then i wanted to install footballs jb maximus 4.0 it hangs during the installation.
Thought ok will try another rom, now i got cyanogenmod 10 put it on the phone and install zip via cwm.
But it hangs also at the installation ( reloop ).
Can somebody help me, that would be great
Have you flashed the boot.img for your ROM in fastboot? Won't boot otherwise.
The JB roms need a updated HBoot.
If you want to run a ICS rom you have to flash the boot.img with fastboot commands first and then flash the rom in recovery.....
Verstuurd van mijn HTC One X
I took the boot.img from the cyanogenmod zip.
Maybe i have to wipe the phone again after the installation.
Now its loading after many reloops the charge is empty
Thanks for the answers
Edit:
Works now, Thanks!!

Hi there!
I have a DHD, but while rooting i had this problem. I unlocked the bootloader, flashed cwm recovery, but after flashing leedroid, the phone stucks at the HTC logo.
I need help. Is there a way to revert to a stock rom? I have tried official Ruu, but it says error 155, even in fastboot mode.
Or, can you suggest me a WORKING custom rom (with tutorial), because leedroid wont boot up.
That's not the problem of the rom u flashed, I guess u have flashed a corrupted file download the file again or may be its the problem with the hboot,
I have downloaded leedroid from the official site, i did a full wipe, flashed the rom and then patched it. And it stucks
Habe u checked the MD5 file?

haven't. What does it used for?
MD5s are used for verifying a correct download. When downloading, files can be corrupted. Every change in the file make it get another MD5.
You find the correct MD5s at the downloadlinks of most roms and check them by using tools like "MD5 Check". This tool is small and you can find it easily via google.
When I am trying to install the official ruu, it starts, but the I get a message, about error 140. I fogured out that it means i am trying to install an older ruu.
My device says I am on 3.13.0.0. My question is, where can i find this rom?
You wont be able to flash official rom without booting your phone. Try to flash any other custom rom first I hope it will boot if you have done all the root process successfully.
It gets stuck because you flashed the rom incorrectly. First you should have NOT unlocked your boot loader through HTC dev.the hack kit is the onlyway to go.
2) to flash a rom on a device that has been unlocked needs an extra step. Flashing the boot.img. so take the boot.img of what ever you want(this case leedroid). Place it in your fast boot folder. The run this command
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Fastboot reboot
You will have to do this for every from you flash, or you'll get stuck. 4ext recovery has a option to do this step for you and make it feel like the regular way flashing roms

Hey there,
So I've been messing with my One X for a few days trying to eventually install Android Revolution HD. I did successfully root it and unlock it, then I messed with the recovery image a bit (I don't remember exactly the sequence of events here), and now I'm stuck. When I select "RECOVERY" from the HBOOT screen, I get a bootloop. When my phone tries to self-update, it reboots into a bootloop. When I try to flash it back to stock to start over, either the phone is not recognized, or the flash fails in some other way. Other than that, my phone works just fine; I'm just not able to flash any new mods or update or use ClockworkMod or do any of those things. How can I get unstuck? What would a factory reset do?
So your bootloader is unlocked ....
Flash the custom recovery again :
Fastboot flash recovery recoveryname.img
After that :
Fastboot erase cache
Hope this helps getting in recovery.
What does your cmd prompt say after fastboot flash ... it will give you a fail or succes prompt !

Maybe the problem is this: There is no official ClockworkMod recovery for the AT&T HTC One X. I must have installed a bad one.
What recovery image should I use for the AT&T One X?
Edit: Oh, apparently there's a separate forum for the AT&T One X. Disregard this, I'll ask over there.

Read this and flash boot.img inside cyanogenmod zip file that you download and installed on phone! Put boot.img from cyanogenmod.zip to extracted folder from link above.
To put phone to fastboot mode press volume down and power button in the same time and hold volume button until phone startup in hboot than select fastboot!
Good luck!

Are you sure that you have One X international with quad core tegra3 or AT&T dual core One X?
And maybe this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2069904 and all in one toolkit http://androidfiles.org/hasoon2000/...(International)/One_X_All-In-One_Kit_v2.4.rar is better solution for you ! Just take your time!
And just to mention, to flash and use CM10.1 you need Hboot that supports Jelly Bean because CM is based on 4.2.2 jelly bean - you need hboot 1.34 or above i think (1.39 is latest)
Wiping
Hey
Are you sure you have flashed the right boot image on the right way? (fastboot flash boot boot.img)
If yes, try wiping all of your cache, Dalvik cache, and do a factory/data reset (can be found all 3 at CWM Recovery)
Let me know soon!
Hey all,
I have an HTC one X.
The Case, phoen wont boot to any screen except for, bootloader on recovery mode (including TWRP and CWM).
I have followed the instructions regarding the usage on HTC one X all in one tool, phone is rooted ( pic1.)
Afterwards, ive flashed, wiped formatted system, and then Flashed Stock ROM.
Phone is not booting farther than the CWM screen (pic2).
Any suggestion would be gladly accepted.
RUU?
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Im on to it ...
did you flashed the boot.img from rom via fastboot? such things you should not forget...otherwise it wouldn't work so just try another rom wipe system, data, dalvik cache and cache in recovery flash the rom of your choice and in fastboot you have to flash the boot.img which is in the rom zip .with fastboot flash boot boot.img....then fastboot erase cache and fastboot reboot so that the phone reboots...then setup your phone and it's done
If you're running stock kernel you have to flash the original kernel and re-lock the phone, easiest way is using RUU (still have to relock your phone though)
Also, How is this a "development" for android?!!!
This should have been posted in Q&A section
guessing this will be removed soon.

Thanks for putting your minds to it guys,
Thats the deal.
Rooted HTC oneX
1. While booting, goes straight to bootloader or into recovery...
2. I do the wipe, Dalvik and all of the other necessary
3. Flashed stock ROM, flashed any other possible ROM... reboot, and it goes back yo the bootloader menu.
Then, just to be clear.
Using the All in one HTC one X.
Re-Lock the phone
Went all the way from beginning.
1. Get token ID, Submit token ID, Unlock bootloader ( done, worked)
2. done the Wipe and re-flashed ROM... same result as before...
3. tried the RUU... nothing
4. i took out the boot.img out of the stock ROM and ran the and did a Kernel flash....
and now i have a pretty logo screen
Ha !! ive got it Runnin ! loaded Stock ROM !!
Thanks for all the Help!!
Hello users of this fine forum! :highfive:
I'm having a bit of a problem whilst rooting my HTC One X.
I first read up about unlocking the phone, ADB and recovery mods (using the teamwin one since it seems to be recommended for my device, but can use clockwork too)
I then proceeded to:
unlock my phone using htcdev
do a fast wipe using the teamwin recovery mod
flash a new boot.img in the fastboot section
install the rom called Android Revolution HD 31.3
used a youtube guide called "HTC One X: Android Revolution HD (Sense 4.1 ICS 4.0.4) - How to Install - Cursed4Eva" which seemed to work pretty flawless
and... got stuck on the HTC quietly brilliant screen for the rest of eternity
I've got the HTC One X international (CID is HTC_E11) and thought this would be a breeze. Looks like something went wrong though, and after about 15 hours of trying to repair the problem on my own using multiple threads (had the same problem using viperrom 2.7.0 and the newest version (3.1.4 i think?) ) I thought I'd turn to the experts for help.
So... heroes of the internet, please help a brother on the quest for technological enlightenment out?
Thanks in advance and best regards.
P.S. if you need anything from me (such as logs or such, I'd be happy to provide)
EDIT: it now actually gives me the HTC One animation after the quietly brilliant startup thingy, but gets stuck on that step of the booting process. This happened after I re-fastbooted the boot.img for the 69th time.
EDIT 2: used CWM to install the rom aswell, this also doesn't work.

ဲJust try with Philz_Touch recovery >>>> http://d-h.st/users/philz_touch/?fld_id=16046#files
Install again the rom with full wipe via Philz recovery.
okay, thanks!
does it matter which version i use?
by the way, phone is S-ON. as far as i read, this couldn't be the problem?
Use the latest version (6) and indeed s-on is not a problem.
Also check your hnoot number and flash a sense 5 rom.
Or PM me with future trouble, we can continue in Dutch if you like

Thanks for your help Mr Hofs will send you a PM aswell. Much appreciated.
The rom I'm flashing is sense 5.0, installed the rom with Phil'z Touch, CWM and TWRM, so I think it's safe to say that the recovery mod isn't causing my problem. What I do is install the rom from my internal sd card using a recovery mod, then reboot into fastboot and load the boot.img either via a batch file or via ADB commands in DOS prompt (or CMD. Do people still call it DOS? ). Yet my phone still hangs on the loading screen. I did a wipe before installing my rom using Phil'z touch aswell.
my hboot number.. the text I get when i enter bootloader:

and then the standard options (fastboot, recovery and so on)
Ah yeah hnoot is too low. You can run the 2.17.401 ruu to get back to stock and then update the phone all the way up to sense 5.
Edit :
The ruu via android file ruu's is broken (only 80mb) that's too small for a ruu. You can also restore the stock rom (nandroid backup)
https://www.dropbox.com/s/jj8i6q186jw8qct/2.17.401.2 CWM HTC__E11.rar
https://www.dropbox.com/s/mmky63x341z36zg/stock recovery 2.17.img
Unpack the nandroid to the sdcard, flash the recovery.img and boot.img from the nand backup folder. Make a full wipe and restore the nandroid. Then flash back the stock 2.17 recovery i linked and update the phone via official ota. You do not have to relock the bootloader !

have a feeling this will fix it. will let you know asap. need to do some RL stuff first thanks a lot !!
EDIT: so.. right now the stock recovery is on there, I can't find the phone via ADB anymore, (error: device not found) and I can't get past the HTC - quietly brilliant loading screen. anyone have any great ideas?
