So i got the note 2 yesterday and im having a little annoying issue with the S pen. when im using the S pen, clicking on screen etc, the next object im hoving over thinks im clicking it so it open up that options. Example is when im scrolling though the app meny and then i stop and hover over an app, and that app starts. it doesnt happen all the time, maybe around 50% of the time. so its quite annoying.
anyone else experienced this?

I have notice chrome thinking I am clicking a link when only hovering, also in the menu for chrome.
No such issue for me. Tried Chrome with the S-Pen, works perfectly fine.

Hi all. I've been busy playing with my new toy now for a few weeks and love it.
One thing I have seen happen on a few occasions, but cannot find any details of, is when I am using the browser and flicking the page up gently as I am reading, it takes off at super speed on it's own and scrolls right to the bottom as if on auto pilot!!
Is this an actual "feature"?
I have tried to reproduce it, but I just cannot find how
Then when I am least expecting it, I give the screen a gentle flick, and away it goes again!!
Haha, yeah... it happens when you are scrolling in a direction and suddenly stop keeping the screen touched down on. Let it go and whoosh! You have to quickly press+hold the screen and move it a little in the opposite direction to make that stop or it continues. Can be very annoying at times, but very helpful to me at times too. It's that repeatable for me that it almost sounds like an intentional feature. IDK though.

Hey all,
Focus owner here. I've noticed this really annoying issue with my WP7 and was wondering if anyone else is seeing it. Every now and then, when I am scrolling the browser, or specially in Adobe PDF reader, the device would detect a single scroll touch as a pinch zoom :/ Suddenly, as I am scrolling, the page would zoom instead.
Anyone else get this? I am trying to figure out if it's an OS issue in general or if I have a bad device that I need to get replaced.
Thanks!
HTC 7 Trophy here, haven't experienced that. sounds like a dodgy?
make sure that the hand holding the phone does not have a finger accidentally touching the screen

Maybe you have a cut on your finger or a dimple that the screen detects as two fingers.
Nah, no cuts or anything on my finger now that I see that no one has it, I will pay more attention to what repros it. I was chalking it off as a glitch in the OS. It can be really annoying sometimes.
Thanks guys
No touch issues

Can't duplicate that on my Focus...
Good luck.
I've seen it on both my EVO and my HD7, only to find the corner of my hand was touching the screen. Otherwise no issues here with multi-touch.
It's happened a couple of times on my Focus, not enough to be a problem. I can't really reproduce it on purpose but sometimes my finger will slide VERY slightly when I go to tap something (a link in explorer for example) then I get a zoom instead. It rarely happens so it doesn't bother me at all.
Never had that on my HD7
I'm experiencing the same issue on Omnia 7. It's a software bug rather than hardware flaw IMHO.
Never happened on my Focus.
Try avoiding double tapping. From experience a double tap is a zoom shortcut, unless an app specifies an action for it.
Hi all
As i already mentioned in another thread i found a new problem on my device, wich i believe to have since the beginning.
All the Edges of my screen are unresponsive and instead respond on a wrong position, more to the middle of the screen.
I first realized this when i wanted to try chrome, i couldn't use the tab feature (when you swipe left to right or right to left), but it worked on a friends HOX.
so i tested my screen in the "dev tools" app and noticed that all the edges are not responding correctly.
this is exactly why i can't use wave launcher, either :/
Who has this problem? Or someone even knows a fix?

Hi, I had said in that other thread that I had the same problem. I have since discovered that it was a bad app (draw something) cutting a couple of mm of the sides. In all test apps the screen is responsive right to the edge. Sorry, I can't shed any light on your problem.
Whenever I have my finger on the screen (such as navigating between home screens or scrolling down a web page), and I am moving it along at a constant speed, instead of the page following my finger smoothly like it does on my galaxy nexus, it kind of shuffles along. As soon as I let go of the screen and just let the page scroll freely, or just flick between home screens, the animation is incredibly smooth. Its almost as if whenever my finger is on the screen the fps is lower. I have tried multiple Roms and kernels, and some have made this issue less noticeable, however none have completely solved this issue. I'm starting to think its a hardware issue. I have noticed how bizarre the transistors appear and how spaced out they are. Is there a fix for this? Is everyone else experiencing this same issue?
When I say scrolling, I am not referring to "flicking" the pages back and forth or up and down, I am speaking specifically about how the images on the screen are reacting to my finger when it moves across the screen.
Try force close & clear data the home or launcher... Sometimes it works... But I don't know if it help
Sent from my LT18i using XDA Premium HD app
That may help with the launcher, but it seems to be a more universal issue.
I posted a thread in the General section a few days ago about this problem too. Combined with the input latency, it is incredibly irritating and really needs to be fixed in an update.
Anyone else having an issue with scrolling? Sometimes scrolling is smooth as butter, but occasionally it stutters or doesn't fling as fast as it should. I've even had it scrolling in an app in the opposite direction that I swiped, or seemingly not register a touch. Rarer, but has happened a few times, I feel like there was a phantom touch on the screen. Like a part of an app opened or closed as if I touched the screen and I had not. I'm really hoping I don't have to go through an exchange process.

I noticed this, especially when I'm scrolling and images are being loaded. When scrolling threads with the XDA app it stutters when avatars are being loaded.

Lag
I have lag so far on Bluetooth streaming in car...really freaking annoying...and also playing games. I love this phone but they need to fix this asap (8gb ram 128gb storage)
This seems to happen when apps are loading things - Facebook, heavy web pages, etc. Try scrolling in your contacts app - I bet it will be smooth.
I have experienced the "phantom touch" by way of apps just closing out of nowhere like I pressed the home button when in fact I hadnt pressed anything at all. It happens most with Chrome but I have had it happen with others. The first few days I couldn't believe how smooth the phone was (most likely because it is quite the upgrade from any phone I've owned since the S5) but recently I notice lots of little hiccups and stutters.
The main thing I notice is it seems like there is a random dead spot in the top left corner where touches do not register. Examples of this are the menu in Magisk and the X to close window in SoundCloud. Sometimes it registers, sometimes it doesn't and takes multiple tries before it will. Its a pretty big area for touches to not register and it happens multiple times a day.

Sorry to bump an older thread, but do you have these touch issues constantly, or only in certain situations? A couple of weeks ago I noticed my touch screen gets some issues when the phone is charging, and goes completely crazy when my phone is charging and I ground myself electrically. Touches are not registered, trying to scroll is interpreted as a tap, scrolling is all over the place because touch recognition isn't smooth and long taps are hard to do.
But I also have slow scrolling speed in Facebook and Facebook messenger when not charging. Other apps scroll just fine.
hi.. i just have my 5t for 2 weeks.
and this past few days i notice the button action delay.
example i try to make a call i pushed call button like 3 times. but no action.
then after few seconds it make the call. then i cancel. then it make call again. its like delay. i pressed 3 times it will call 3 times consecutively.
and also i pressed apps on home canot open. i try to open from inside menu it open.
is there any way to fix this? thx
sorry to bump old thread again.
