Hello
I've searched for weeks and could not find anything.
The backlight on the Xperia pro keyboard turns off too quick
Is there a way to increase the timeout or maybe force it to always be on when the keyboard is out
I will even gladly give a bounty to anyone that solves this.
Cheers

Hi!
I am looking for tweak or application which turns off backlight - not just dim the display to lower level after some time.
I want to completely turn off backlight to 0% and when the screen is tapped the backlight is on again.
Any solution for this?
ya core player does that...even tcmp player

If in Setup>Power supply>Advanced click on "Deactive device when not run for"
this setup turns off all display lights after minute that you set and in the same time blocks all keys.
To reactivate the handheld just press the power button.
I find this setup very useful.
Exscuse me because I have not an english ROM and I don't know if I have made a right translation of commands.
Thanks luigug, but that is how I configure my device from start.
The point is that I dont want to press power button again to activate device, just to tap on screen and use slide to unlock application.
Any other clues?
Thanks
you are right, this is a major design mistake in wm6 "features", and all wm6 devices suffer from it. This behaviour actualy make the native windows Device lock function unusable. Also, wm is much more stable if you never suspend it, and battery performance is almost the same.
I even searched for a wm5 downgrade rom for my eten m800 (wm5 does not have the dimming "feature"), but without success.
I still hope someone will manage to get a fix for this to function like in the wm5 days (my mio a701 was able to do it easely). Maybe we should make a wish topic in development section ?
i tried to search but cant find any good solutionabout this,
how do you turn off the backlight of the keyboard manually? with my delicate fingers i can actually type in tp2 using my fingers, however in a decent light condition, the keyboard backlight automatically turns on sometimes and i cant read the characters on the keyboard (wished the buttons are black)
i tried to turn off the kb backlight autosensor, turns out it manually turns on the backlight, not turning it off.
any ideas?
I would also like to know how to shut off the keyboard back light.
I think it is a waste of battery life sometimes.
Do anyone know how to create some kind of manual switch that would allow me to toggle between having it on (with the auto sensor) and just always off?
I remember having some kind of application for this on my palm centro.
Thanks
Anyone?
The only work around I have found so far is to open the keyboard, then press the power button then press it again, and not touch the keyboard, and the back light will remaind off. I do this so I can watch videos with the keyboard out and the screen tilted.
you can change the timeout in hkcu\controlpanel\backlight\qkeyledtimeout default is 10. maybe you can change it to 0 or atleast 1.
it looks like keylightautosensor might be what you are looking for. you can try em out. soft reset to apply.

That didn't seem to do anything?
Does anyone knows how to do that??
Has anyone got a fix for this? It's driving me crazy. At first I thought it was caused by a specific keyboard like Swype or Swiftkey or Google Keyboard. However after trying about every keyboard available in many different situations the screen pulsing brightness is very intermittent and I can't figure it out. What does amaze me is that a tiny little blinking cursor can cause the whole screen to pulse bright/dim in timing with the cursor.
A fix for this would be deeply appreciated.
Thanks
I think you need Settings->Device->Display->Screen Mode->Adaptive Display
Try turning it off.

Hi guys, I need a little help here with my moto z2 play
Today I was doing my stuffs on the smartphone(nothing about customizing it), and the sensor has just stopped vibrating. It still works, i can unlock, lock, use it instead of the virtual buttons and everything else, however it doesn't vibrate anymore.
Any suggestions? I really would appreciate if someone could help me
Tks in adv
It never happened to me but I'd try to install Vibrafix then switch vibration on/off from there, maybe ! Rebooting would help also, I guess.
Good luck
