[Q] Virbation strength suddenly got weak - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hey all,
Today all of a sudden the vibration strength when received phone calls or messages has decreased significantly.
I received a call just before with the phone in my hand and could barely even feel it.
Is there any reason this should have happened? It was fine yesterday/last night.
I checked settings and can't seem to find anything different to normal.
I am running Paranoid Android 2.15 and Trinity 35
Thanks

This is due to the kernel, but you can set the intensity of the vibration using Trinity Kernel toolbox, you can find it in the play store

[Q] Incoming Call Screen Blank

im having a problem with incoming calls. half the time it works fine, screen pops up...no issues. the other half the phone will ring/vibrate/light will blink but the screen wont pop up.
rooted, currently running CM 7 RC4, but any rom ive loaded does the same thing. any fixes anyone knows of? i also downgraded to CM stable 6.1 and it does the same thing.
is your phone overclocked or underclocked? are you using set cpu and have a screen profile set?
Are you overclocked? If you are, search for "wake issue" to find a solution. Basically, you need to increase the max of your screen off clock speeds until it goes away.

yes overclocked, using setcpu. not using a screen profile set...i will look into that now. also look into the wake issue. thank you.
make sure if you set a screen profile no to set cpu speed to low or you will have the same issue

I was playing with the "screen filter" thing yesterday, because of Really Wanting to run the Avalaunch ROM, and I have the screen that gives the brightness issue. But it seemed to me that it did not technically dim the screen at all, just the image displayed, if that makes sense. Example being that it dimmed everything but the notification bar at top.
Some people are swearing by JuiceDefenderBeta for good results.
Ok... i didnt think so... evoking replied to a comment i left with that apk to fix the brightness issue on his speedy port...
But my concern with brightness was with the battery consumption.
So i used it...but it still destroyed battery life..

No BS, I got 14 hours of medium-heavy usage including running a 4G hotstpot for about 30 mins, an about an hour of browsing over WIFI, a couple phone calls and numerous sms and email messages using JD beta with the Ultimate upgrade. I disabled JD the following day and got 9 hours with LESS usage (I was in training that day so no playing with the phone) I using CM7.0.3.1 with Tiamat 3.3.8.

Syncloopwakelock? What is it?

I noticed on the better battery stats app that the top of my wakelock list is something called Syncloopwakelock. It's been active for 41 minutes and has a count of 2317!!! It also accounts for 87% of my device wake time.
What the heck is it?

Nope. I was never able to find out more about it and it continues to be in my top three wake locks regardless of what I do.

I'm wondering the same thing, On my GNex SyncLoop has a count of 1835, but only says 1s for total time. It is the highest count of wakelock items and currently my phone is at 75% awake, and it's been sitting on my desk screen off almost all day.
This is killing my battery and just started recently.
Seeing a far amount of wakelocks here from this. SGS 2 pre release build 4.0.3
Only seeing this since I upgraded to 4.0.2... so much for better battery life over 4.0.1!
Hi, are you guys running custom roms? I updated my version of ahrd to 6.1.2 and now that wake lock appears waaay down in my list.
I also realised that my main battery drain was the radio trying to hold onto the 3g connection in bad signal areas, ie at home. If I manually switched to GSM I saw an amazing improvement, so now I use a great app called toggle 2g to switch to2g when using WiFi or sleeping Search for it in the forums. Works with locale too although I find that to be an over zealous wake lock itself
[Solved]

Unstable CPU

Hi guys,
Just picked up this phone early in the week. A couple of issues I'm having:
Using stock/rooted Rom the phone will
(1)sometimes reboot after turning on Bluetooth.
(2)Google music will skip every few seconds. I thought it might be my internet connection but it doesn't happen on my tablet connected to the same router.
Using stock/rooted Rom & cm9 nightly I have noticed that the CPU fluctuates between lowest voltage and highest voltage every few seconds even when idle. Is this a common issue or did I get a lemon?
Thanks!

Sounds pretty much in line with this issue I had, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24179363&postcount=4 . I would also suggest getting a replacement.
Also what did you use to track your voltage/cpu issues? I would like to make sure there is no issues with my 2nd P930 before I flash CM9.
Thanks.

Thanks. I was using the stock LG applications manager app. It shows CPU%. On cm9, I was looking under the performance settings where it shows current CPU voltage.
Taking it back today. I really want to love this phone. Hope I get a good one.

[Q] The power assumption of codename 2.0RC

Hi all,
I use codename 2.0.0rc and franco kernel latest nightly version.
the battery drops about 49% after one night(airplane mode).
i have already set the cpu to 384 to 12xx Mhz/ ondemand mode. there is no other abnormal background services or apps. others are default valuoes.
before i use aokp b30 and same kernel/radio, the power only use about 1% one night.
but when i use the codename rom, the GPS signal is very good and the connection is very fast ( severl seconds over aokp's servel minutes, i am in mainland china)
there must be something wrong, either the combination or some of the settings.
it seems that some others have similar problem.
is there anybody can teach me how to solve that?
thanks alot!!
Same problem anyone help!
