[Q] Telstra Desire GPS not working

I've got a rooted Telstra Desire and am currently running Opendesire 4 (purely to test the gps). Before that I was running nextsense and leedroid both of which did the GPS did not work on either.
My radio atm is 32.44.00.32U_5.09.05.30_2 but before that was 32.42.00.32U_5.09.00.08, both of which the GPS did not work.
I just let it sit outside for 40 minutes with google maps navigation sit there stuck searching for GPS. (normally i'd test with GPS status but this time i did not want to install anything and test it clean.)
Has anyone got any other ideas on what to do from here?

Hey mate, I'm with Telstra and haven't had a problem with my gps on stock and heaps of different rooted roms.
I'd suggest downloading the Telstra RUU recovery from here and flashing that. If your gps still doesn't work, take it back in to telstra and get them to replace it.

Wierdly GPS did work on my telstra device with OD4 and 32.43.00.32, then i flashed the 32.46.... radio and it stopped working, so I flashed the previous radio and that has stopped working as well.

A few questions. Do I just flash the ruu like other Rom? Do I need to downgrade my radio? Will thec ruu affect root? Will it change hboot?

[Q] suggestions for radios

Hello,
I am having trouble with all plain froyo roms without sense. The problem is a CPU usage at 100% all the time. The process was /system/bin/mediaserver. Saw this with an app. I suddenly got an idea that this is might be a radio related problem as a friend of mine runs all these defrost, opendesire and stuff without problems. So do you think I should get a new radio? What are your suggestions for a radio if I live in Asia, Singapore? Also, how do you install a radio? Isn't flashing it with clockworkmod it? But I thought as you wipe it would be gone?
Also, what is the radio? What is it for?
Please update me with what causes the problem and how to work with radios. Also, please tell me which radio to get because I have no idea.

[Q] Where to find Radio driver for gps problems

I have CM7 on my wildfire, but now gps doesn't work any more. I read everywhere on internet that re-flash the RADIO could be the solution.
Now i'm ready for my daily stupid question
Where can I find radio drivers?

still after some time having this phone, ive had LOS once, and ghost LOS once.
and thats assuming i know what these things mean.
because there is no clarification anywhere as to exactly what happens, everyone is just assumed to know about it.
LOS = instead of bars, you have a crossed circle = no signal of course, when you know there is signal in the area
ghost LOS = seems you have signal, but cant make any calls or anything
that sound right?
and the radio thread still says that EG12 is identical to EG30
that statement is the only reason I flashed without much research, that's like saying oh don't worry about it, it doesn't matter, you can't possibly lose anything by flashing your radio. GRRRRRRR........

[Q] GPS not working after fixes.

I've been having issues with my GPS on this phone as long as I can remember.... I tried using the soldering fix, the various software fixes to no avail. I upgraded my radio to July 2012: Radio 12.69.60.29_26.17.14.11_M - AT&T Inspire 4G 3.20.502.52 (Latest)
before trying all these hacks, and I now just realized I can't downgrade this radio since it's bugged. (I confirmed I cant downgrade)
Is there any way to downgrade? Could the radio be the cause of my GPS not working at all? I don't feel it's hardware, because the GPS **MIGHT** get 1 sattelite lock if I'm very lucky and in a very open area. Does anyone have some other suggestions/options I can try?

Any other trouble shooting processes I can perform?

If you have rooted phone, you downgrade phone you can PD98IMG.zip file by inserting a memory card and launch the bootloader

try flshing a different rom, such as viper dhd, sabsa,. I had similar bad luck with others but with a better rom I had better gps success
