Voice mail - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

I recently flash ktoonsez latest aopk rom and now I don't have voice mail enabled on my #1 quick dial. Can someone tell me the number for bell mobility voice mail. I remember 1-647-xxx-xxxx.
Also how do I turn on voice mail notifications?

I pretty sure there are different numbers depending on where you are but here's mine in Atlantic Canada 16473832355. Notifications should come automatically after you get the proper number in, mine does anyway.

Yeah the number works, thanks. But I'm still not getting the notification....? Last AOKP rom used was the same thing

Last time I got one I got the notification but that was quite a while ago ( month ago lol ) so I'm not sure, sorry.

For AT&T you can dial your own number. Might work with Bell too

One other issue I'm having is dialing a string of numbers (I don't know what the terminology is) like I dial a number several times a day 1-800-xxx-xxxx, xxxxx#, xxxx# but with this dialer/rom it will only dial the number before the comma

Cm9 ghost vmail.

So I've been plagued with the ghost voice mail on cm9 and I was looking for a fix. I have heard of the whole activating a non android phone fix but I currently don't have one at hand. I've also cleared data in phone(voicemail)####### in titanium back up but that doesn't last very long. Any help or input is greatly appreciated...thanks guys

Damn, I have had one of these on my Nexus for a month and would love to know a solution as well

Anyways, no one has ever fixed this issue in CM9 (a real fix).
Phantom voicemail has been an issue for CyanogenMod since CM7. See if this works (from a quick googling)

Turn off emergency notifications on 4.2.2?

Is there any way to shut off those extremely annoying emergency alerts? I've gotten two rather annoying and pointless severe weather emergency alerts one at 3am & the other at 5am. And before you say I didn't look through the settings or search there is no cell broadcast setting or any way to disable them in messaging on 4.2.2. Any help is appreciated.

I'm going to make an assumption and guess you're using sprint? If so it has nothing to do with 4.2.2 and everything to do with your carrier. Everyone I know that uses sprint has complained of recently receiving emergency notifications out of nowhere. So I can't help you, but if you're with sprint I'd complain directly to them.

Actually I'm on Verizon so that's why it's more perplexing.

I see. Idk I'd still guess it's carrier related if it just randomly started happening without you changing anything. I've been running 4.2.2 on my GSM G'Nex since it was released and have never gotten anything.

I don't have that setting I'm rooted on a stock AOSP 4.2.2 ROM

Are you using a weather app that might be putting out alerts?

Nope it's the emergency alerts I've seen and had pop up and take over my phone before. In the past I was able to turn them off and plus I uninstalled all apps that might do that about a week ago.

Default aosp won't build the settings menu on properly for the emergency alerts. You have to edit a make file or something somewhere . Are you compiling it yourself? I can look at my setup later and let you know what the actual edit is if you are.

Actually mwalt I'm running your 4.2.2 AOSP rom other than the emergency alerts I've never had any problems with it.

I thought I always checked that when building from AOSP...guess I forgot . If you want, you can probably dirty flash this rom. It's based off of the google image, so everything should work correctly.
Are you sure it isn't Google Now?
It's actually under the stock messaging app. Open messaging app and hit the 3 dots (settings) and choose Cell broadcasts. Then hit the 3 dots again and uncheck the alerts from there.

I already stated in the first post that the option to turn that off in messaging is not there for me. That was my first thought when this happened as that's where I had previously turned them off. Thanks though

That did the trick. Thanks mwalt this was the ROM I was running previously to having done clean install of AOSP which lead to all this.

Sorry, I must have misread that last part in the op. That's odd. I thought all stock messaging apps had that option. Hope you get it figured out soon.
I'm assuming you're from Pittsburgh too and got all those flash flood warnings? At some point stock gave me the choice to turn it off but I don't know about your settings.

[Q] Anyone here have optimum as their internet provider? Wifi Calling question

I'm having issues with my WiFi calling's caller ID when im home(Optimum Online).
Caller ID always comes up with the caller's phone number with a semicolon and two random digits afterwards(62 or 63)
Went to my friends house and it worked perfectly there(he has FiOS)
Am I the only one with this issue?
This actually a known issue with note 3 wifi calling. Happens to me at work on comcast and at home on fios.

It is a known issue please call T-Mobile and report the issue so they will fix it.
Sent from my SM-N900T using xda app-developers app
It looks like if I get a call from a T-Mobile number, it works fine. All other carriers have the semicolon issue.
Not a home internet carrier issue
Sent from my SM-N900T using xda app-developers app
The really odd thing is that it never happens for me (even with receiving calls from other carriers). I have Comcast for my ISP and no semicolons or extra numbers are displayed. The only thing I haven't tried is receiving a call from a number that I dont have in my contacts. Maybe thats why I dont have a problem?

Old text messages keep sending or receiving.

My wife, daughter and I all have Att smartphones. The past week or so we have been receiving old text messages or delayed text messages. I live in Chicago and have Att service. I am wondering if anyone has experienced this and how to fix it.

Just started happening to me a couple of days ago. Received a text that was date stamped 2 days prior. Also noticed that I get texts that show up in the notifications but not in the message app. Only way to access them is to open through notification bar. I also live in the Midwest and have At&t service.
Sounds like it's an AT&T issue.

My thoughts exactly. Messaging was fine until then. No changes to phone before or during the period the late messages were arriving.
I just got a text yest that was dated from thurs..I thought my phone was messed up...glad I ain't the only one
You guys should also check out if your AT&T message backup & sync is the culprit. It has a tendency to sync and bring back very old messages. I disabled it (hence why it's grayed out in the pic).

AT&T backup was off. (Never have used it). Think was an AT&T issue as mentioned earlier. Haven't had issues lately.
