[Q] C-Spire Stock Rom - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

Anyone know of a way we can get a stock ROM for the SCH-L710 which is the C-Spire version of the gs3?

Stock ROM for the SCH-L710 the C-Spire GS3 version
Anybody???

Not big enough demand, also.. I don't know and am asking here, what service provider more closely matches cspires network? Is sprint the closest match? Especially for LTE...??

Theres one posted in another thread. I reccomend the search button. And sprint is as close to cspire as u can get. Roms are almost 100% compatible.just trying to get data working as its flaky right now

Ya cspire specs seem to be "meh" everywhere. Like no site saw it coming or something. That being said i havent gotten any comfirmation on the 4g in the other threads. I would assume yes based on what i saw going thru the cspire stock rom. There's actually a few spots where sprint is referenced in the stock rom. And if you restore the cspire nandroid to a sprint phone **** works beautifully. So between that and the lack of complaints, i would say it seems like chances are pretty good

New to Touch

Howdy, Well i've been a member for a bit.. Just picked up a Touch for little to nothing. Moving from the Original Epic to this. (Was running CM10/Crespo (NS4G) modem. Just finished installing CM10 on this one. Wondering which modem would allow fastest speeds. Any other tid bits of info are welcome too.. Like i said, new to this device specifically. Devs, if this belongs somewhere else, please move and i apologize for posting in wrong location. Community, Thanks for the help!
Módem speeds depend mostly by area and coverage. I remember a thread about modems and people reporting their experience by area and modem, but can't find it.
As soon as I find it I link you to the thread, if someone happens to find it first better yet.
Edit: Finally found the thread.

I am in Seattle and the only 2 places I ever saw 4G is the Sprint store or the Sprint stand in the mall.
Soon as you leave 4G vanishes and only 3G exist.
Since sprint is going LTE I will stay with them. If they was not going LTE I'd bail.
Need to look around at the kernals, modems and roms as well.
My ET4G died and got a new one and they loaded with ICS.

[Q] C spire & Sprint's GS3 similar?

Hello everyone. I am curious to know if anybody with a c spire galaxy sIII tried root theirs using the sprint method? I know the phone has just arrived on cspire and hasn't been out a good week but since c spire's gs3 and sprint's version is of similar variant(sprint sph-l710, cspire sch-710), I was wondering if they would be compatible. Sorry if this is posted in the wrong section but there isn't a main section for cspire and also thank you for your time.

Root method worked out fine for me too. As far as Roms. I tried the paranoidandroid rom and it worked fine didn't get to test the network. I don't believe the TW Roms will work properly as they are based on sprint updates. But cm, aosp, and aokp based Roms should work fine.

I have tried both cm10 and paranoidandroid and neither have working data. of course i am in an area which does not have 4g yet so it might only be an issue with 3g or the prl is not updating with a *228

Just so I'm clear, this is what you're referring to as the "Sprint Method", right?
That's not the website that I found the instructions on. But looks to still be correct.

I just posted this in the other thread but I thought I would post it here just so everyone is on the same page between the two.
Okay. First of all, I didn't think to look at the PRL before I went and flashed the Sprint CM10. But now it says 20005. I restored my nandroid backup and pulled this PRL from my phone with QPST 2.7.374. In DFS Tool, I noticed there was a CSpire PRL 10009. I wrote this PRL to the Phone and am getting much better service on the stock TW ROM.
HOWEVER, I flashed the Sprint CM10 again and the same thing happened. It says PRL 10009, but there is little to no service and when it does have a little service, it is very flaky and eventually ends up with no data connection at all. Any more suggestions or ideas?

I followed these instructions found in the Android Development subforum
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XoEVDgjTTdg&feature=youtu.be
I took my GS3 by CS yesterday for the upgrade they sent the text out about. Check my PRL this morning and mine says 20005; not sure what it was before they made changes last night.

[Q] Best option for AT&T phone on T-Mobile

So I am new to GSM phones anyway but I just got an AT&T GSIII and I am using it on T-Mobile. I am a Sprint user initially (rooted Gnexus) and testing T-Mobile in an area I frequent to compare if it is worth switching.
My questions is I am already downloading the root kit and ready to run a ROM but should I use a T-Mobile Rom or an AT&T Rom. Also not sure if I should be asking this in the T-Mobile general section. Any advice would be great.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
If its an ATT phone it should have an ATT ROM. (I've never tried any other carries so anyone else correct me if I'm wrong)
Just set your APNs to tmobiles APN and you should be set.

You can use any Rom that states the option for picking tmobile or att in Aroma installer
Also I can verify you can odin a stock T-Mobile tar file onto the i747 and get perfect working 4g and wifi calling.
Flashing strictly t-mobile roms may be another problem.
A few good roms for T-Mobile users on the att i747 @re
Wicked Rom v10
And T-Motion both in att android dev.
Make sure to choose t-mobile as the carrier when u set up aroma install on the i747 if you use tmobile sim..
The reason the roms all works across the t999 @i747 is because the phones are so identical and the build props have been tweaked/edited to create working roms on a completely diff carrier device.

If I will use Wicked Rom v10 or T-Motion will I get these functions working ? If not, what ROM would you suggest?

I was running axis ROM and it worked great. Lots of stock features like multi window and motions. But very customizable. I haven't tried flashing a T-Mobile ROM yet tho. Actually didn't know I could. I thought the Roms were specific to the phone model

You mean that WIFI calling was working?
You should have no problems flashing T-Mobile ROMs on there, and you can always flash back to an AT&T rom if it doesn't work.
You will need to follow these instructions to get it to flash though: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=45813646&postcount=2

Wondering if you ever got this done and working with WiFi calling.
I have this funky i747 in a T999 case thing going. I'm running an ATT stockmod ROM on it, but thinking of flashing a T-Mobile ROM on it
This one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2501303 - though I've been advised not to flash the modem it says to flash ... last time I did on this phone I lost IMEI ... upside is this time the NVitems data has been backed up). At any rate, I haven't tried it yet. Word is it'll either work or it won't, and I can flash back to the ATT stockmod I'm using if it doesn't. But I'm a little leery of trying it right now.
The reason to do it would be to get wifi calling. Otherwise I like the phone just fine the way it is. That's why I'm reading threads like this. To see what experience others have had.
I flushed with Wicked v10 :

First off, you should not even joke about telling someone to flash something they shouldn't. EVER. Some people will take you seriously. Please don't do that...
Second... you and others should realize by now that our M919 can flash 95% of all software items made for the international i9505. M919 is simply the Tmo version of the 9505, as you should know....the hardware is identical. So many people still think they are different phones just because ours say M919. The only catch is you can never flash another carriers modem...it's that simple.
99% of the ROMs from the international i9505 forums and all other carriers...Verizon, AT&T, Sprint etc, run perfectly on our M919....ya just gotta flash a universal kernel directly after flashing the i9505 ROM....ie, Faux or Ktoonez etc. Aside from people who have to have certain Tmo specific software (WiFI calling, visual VM etc)...I have no idea why people are still using the old and outdated MDL firmware.
To the OP...wait for the ROM and kernel to be released in the international forums and then wait again for Faux or Ktoonez to make the kernel universally compatible with multiple variants of the i9505.
Seems there are still peeps out there that think they are stuck to using only Tmo M919 software. I'm surprised more Tmo users are not using the latest and greatest firmware for the i9505. Smearing, camera lag...you name it, was fixed long ago on the international firmware.
My M919 is FLYING with Wanam's 1.2 MF2 ROM, Faux v6m kernel.
@ Hoggles
Thanks for that informative post.
Regarding the WanamLite ROM you installed, is Call Recording operating properly?
Skvalex from CallRecorder asked me to try this
http://galaxys4root.com/t-mobile-ga...i9505attt-mobilecanadianapp2sdcall-recording/
to see if CallRecorder works. It's version 1.1 but I read it may break 4G LTE.
I see the ROM you installed is 1.2 and just wanted to know what your experience was with either the call recording feature native to that ROM, or if you've perhaps tried CallRecorder, and if 4G LTE is working without issue.
@ luckyduck69
The op was just trying to be helpful.
Everyone is learning, and not just on xda, but in life in general.
Hoggles just didn't want the op or anyone else to Bork their new, expensive S4 and was passionate about that.
As we all know, sometimes things are said that are taken literally, and considering their are millions of xda members, there may have been several that would have flashed something they're not supposed to, and have a brick in their hands.
The above is just my observation. Nothing personal

Even though I agree with this, some ROMs in the Verizon and T-Mobile section are universal and some do say sprint. I have heard if you flash another us carrier s3 ROM (NOT THE INTERNATION ONE) ANOTHER US CARRIER, Rom, let's say t mobile ROM on Verizon phone, the worst that happens is data won't work and a bunch of force closes, but won't hard brick since it has the same hardware.
DONT QUOTE ME ON THAT! Just say in what I think I heard. Don't go flashing other carrier ROMs (OR INTERNATION ONES) for no reason.
If the OP says universal and it says compatible with sprint, do it if you feel comfortable. Personally I wouldn't until I know someone else is running it.

If you go to that thread you will see there are Sprint users in that thread. Just flash it and test it out, and I'm sure during the install process it will ask you which carrier you are using. But it definitely works on Sprint and any other US carriers.

I know it's safe to flash because it is a universal rom, and specifically states support for the Sprint variant. I wasn't trying to see if it was safe but rather ask if it was stable since universal Roms tend to work well for the device they work on and not so well for the other supported phones. I appreciate all of your warnings but I already know not to flash stuff from other forums unless specifically made for sph-l710.
