[UPDATED] [LWP] Galaxy S II Live Wallpaper with day/night and weather animations. ICS

I've attached the live wallpapers from SGS II. Just install them like a normal apk, but be warned that at 8mb and 11mb they are rather large.
They should work on any device with WVGA resolution, and have also been reported to work on Galaxy Tab. However, they may not work if your device has non-standard DPI settings.
Secret Wallpaper 1 is a beach scene and Secret Wallpaper 2 features windmills running peacefully along the country side. Both wallpapers use your GPS co-ordinates or coarse location to change the weather depicted in the scene, and to switch from day to night.
Smartkeitai editor CJ Lippstreu has made two videos showing the live wallpapers for SmartKeitai.com Please hit like on their video, and subscribe to their channel for more smartphone videos.

Are you using custom DPI settings? I've heard reports of it only working on 240 dpi.

Works Perfect on CogHD Non Sense on Inspire

Works great on HD2 with RafDroid HD 4.2 SD!

Will I need to root my device to use this? Also, I noticed the the beach wallpaper looked a bit choppy on the Nexus S. Is that because of the video or is it a little too much for the Nexus S?

Galaxy Nexus Live Wallpaper
Has anyone tried to port the new LiveWallpaper that came with the SDK? Really interested in the Bubble Live WP

i wanna try that too.

The only live wallpaper in the sdk is some crappy looking cube one. The other live wallpapers you are referring to were from dumps of an actual Galaxy Nexus. They don't work on on gingerbread, I tried to install them on my nexus s.
They also don't seem to work in the SDK, I installed them on the SDK and they wouldn't run. They also didn't work for me on the nexus s ICS SDK port (actually I didn't get to try that cause USB didn't work, so no ADB or SDcard access... but my guess they wouldn't work since the SDK emulator wouldn't run them). Probably gonna have to wait for real ICS.

The LWP seen in the pics of the Galaxy Nexus is the only thing I'm interested in on non Nexus phones.

So the wallpaper size for a 720x1280 screen is 960x853?
I'm trying to get my head around this as i assumed it would be 1440x1280. Can anybody shed some light on this?

why should we pay for a system live wallpaper? android should be free at least for this things like theming and customizing

Setting wallpaper without crop

There is one annoying thing about android.... Wallpaper cropping, i have a 720p wallpaper which i want on my phone WITHOUT scrolling, i try and set it and this happens

I'm in the same boat as you, been looking for an answer but can't seem to find one. Id love to set some of my gallery pics without cropping them. It should be possible, the standard htc wallpapers are in system/customize/resource.
Anyone have any ideas?

I hope Android 5.0 has an option to set a wallpaper without scrolling, i know Galaxy S3 has that since this wallpaper were extracted from it.

wallpaper wizardrii, ugly icon, less than pleasant interface but it does the job.

Yeah, i used wizardrii aswell but when u now go from left to right on your homescreens there are these ugly black bars....
I didn't have a problem with my old Desire HD running android 2.3
It just selected the entire picture and set it as wallpaper...,,,done, no cropping!
I'm starting to get anoid with android 4.0.....
Where can we complain to make them updated the bloody thing and make sure we can have these selections again!?
Same as that I lost the ability to toggle on/off GPS in the scroll down quick settings menu. It's gone now in 4.0!!?! WTF!!
And Whatsapp doesn't show my contact Facebook profile pictures anymore in the Whatsapp contacts list.
There are serious problems still with android 4.0,,grrrrrr.

I found wonderful free wallpapers on ssiphone.com but they don't need to be cropped (and I don't need the wallpaper to scroll)

When you set the wall paper you can drag the yellow box out but still doesn't use a full picture taken by the camera.
