[Q] Jelly Bean-ing the SIII - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

Hi all!
Personally, I'm still working my Fascinate but my friend recently came into a new SIII and is looking for me to help him get rooted and Jelly'd. I was hoping someone on this end could point me towards the necessary files. From what I've gathered, I'd still be ODINing and Clockworking like on my phone, but I'm unsure as to what his options are regarding roms/kernels/extra measures to get everything functional. I know if I did my share of reading I could find this information but I spend enough time on the Fassy threads as is and figured someone over here could make things a bit easier on me.
Much appreciated,
EJ

Samsung I320 - ROM

I wasn't sure where to post this, and I was wondering if any of you could be of assistance.
I recently purchased a Samsung i320 (gsm - unlocked) for my wife.
I was wondering if it was possible to install the rom for the Samsung Blackjack (i600 - I think) on this device. Just wanting to have a more US look for the winmo system and phone for her.
Thanks in advance for any and all help.
Also, I have googled this and have been unsuccessful in finding information on this topic.

[Q] Tmo Note II Advice - Unlock/Root/ROM ?

I originally posted this under General, which is probably the wrong place to post this question; re-posting here:
I have a pristine looking insurance replaced Note II that I'd like to Root and Rom with a stable Rom that retains T-Mobil's WiFi Calling feature.
Also, I'm getting the unlock code for the device sent to me by T-Mobile; which I'd like to do as well. I do have a T-Mobile SIM for it and can get at an AT&T SIM to unlock it if necessary.
As far as Root/Rom goes; I'm fairly certain this limits me to Android 4.3 and below; since T-Mo hung Note II users out to dry for a factory 4.4.x update; and I need the WiFi calling feature to work properly.
This specific device showed up with the following on it and is currently locked.
Firmware: 4.1.2
Baseband: T889UVBMD1
Kernel 3.0.31-935627
Build No: JZ05K.T889UVBMD1 (probably redundant info)
I have 2 Questions to start:
1. Should I unlock this before or after flashing root/ROM?
2. What Root/Rom(s) is (are) stable and let's the T-Mobile WiFi calling feature working properly. (I've seen Info on Jedi Rom, not sure which of them would be best or if there are others that keep WiFi Calling)
Some advice on this would be sincerely appreciated; since I have no experience with unlocking and/or root/ROMs; though I've been reading and really can't find info on my first question.
TIA to anyone that can point me in the right direction.

Unlock it before anything with the provided code and steps from t.mobil, then root and flash any touchwiz rom. Go thru the comments for know issues on each rom. Jedi and conch are good.

Here's the thing... if your Note 2 is still bone stock, in which I mean that it is still on the firmware that it is shipped with, you may try to unlock it for free by going into the phone's hidden menu, no need to wait for T-Mobile, but from what I see, you need to downgrade back to T889UVALJ1, Android 4.1.1... follow the steps on the site below to unlock:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2176721
As far as custom roms go, it you want Wi-Fi calling, your only choices are the Jedi Roms that are basically modified Touchwiz roms, I believe nothing else works. If you want root, use CF-Auto-Root, unzip the zip file and flash via Odin, see instruction on the site below:

Hope this helps...

[Q] Quick one - Does MK3 have Knox?

Hi all...
Trying to find definitive answer, and new to S3s. I have cobbled together an L710 from parts, and now want to install CM10 or CM12. I originally started the project with an i535 from Verizon, and got one with a version that was "knoxed", so could not go to CM.
Is MK3 knoxed? if it is, can I assume (like on the i535) that tryng to install another bootloader will trip and brick?
I have done some searching, but don't see a similar thread that has big warning about Knox, like on the Verizon forum. If anyone knows where that is, please do point me, so I can RTFM.
Thanks in advance...Eric
OK...been reading through the noob thread, and if I am reading correctly, even though 4.3 and later are knox'd, it does matter, since it can be disabled.
Big difference than the SCH-I535 Verizon model, huh?
Am I reading correctly?
Eric
