[SKIN] Sense 4.1 Skins for Sense 4+ (Serene, Fracture, Infinite) - HTC One X

I've ported a few of the Sense 4.1 skins to Sense 4+. As Sense 4+ ROMs uses a new fusion.apk for the new themes, old skins from Sense 4.0 and Sense 4.1 don't appear to work if you simply pull the .apk from other ROMs.
It's my first attempt at porting anything like this, and the skins aren't 100% as they should be, such as the bottom bit of the app drawer always stays blue, but the main homescreen is how it should be with the widgets.
Serene:

Infinite:

Original Skins:
.zip contains all 3 original .apk files for the ported skins including the fusion.apk file for them.

Installation:
Place them on to your SD card and click on them to install them from there.
Known issues:
The World Clock crashes to homescreen without an error message. If you need to use the Alarm clock, this can be quite problematic. To fix it use a 4+ Skin, selecting Alarm, then switching to the 4.1 Skin, so when you open the clock app, it goes straight to Alarm.
The background of the phone dialer is messed up with Serene in use.
The bottom bar (on the app drawer) is always the default colour with the default blue background colours.
Background colours on the lockscreen icons for Infinite aren't there.
?

I think this goes for all HTC's Sense 4.1 themes. They won't work in Sense 4+. I'm using the maximus 4.0 ROM and tried installing the Sense 4.1 themes 'Infinite' and 'Fracture', but they just don't show up under Themes.

I realised this, but took a different path and managed to get it working. I've updated the first post to share it if anyone else is interested.

Great stuff. Do you think you can do the same for the themes "Infinite" and "Fracture"? I can upload them to you if you want...

Sorry it took me a while. Was extremely busy over the weekend, and only had chance tonight to sit down and get Infinite and Fracture brought over.
All the downloadable skins off of HTC Hub or whatever it was called should work with Sense 4+, just need to get hold of the .apk as I don't think they rely on fusion.apk like Serene, Infinite, Fracture does. I'm using InsertCoin 10 at the moment, and not sure I'd be able to go back to an ICS ROM to try and check (due to the updated framework on my phone).

Did you actually test these? I see missing background colours, ring designs...
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app

Sorry try them now, I put the wrong .apk files on Dropbox.
The correct lockscreens are displayed now, but I don't know how to get the little circle backgrounds around lockscreen icons. I can have a look and see if I can get it working, but it is all quite new to me this.
If you wanna try yourself, all I did was use Virtuous Ten Studio, decompiled fusion.apk, Infinite.apk and Fracture.apk. In the assets folder of fusion.apk, there's folders for each theme. I took the Fracture folder, for example, then pasted it in to the assets folder within Fracture itself. There must be more to it to get the theme 100%, so I'll have a look when I can.

The Serene one is wonderful :good:

Hi,
After installing the apk the skin won't appear in my Skin section in Personalise to choose.
Can you help me?

You can get the skins from htc-hub if you're on 4.1

I'm still trying to sort some bugs out, but I'm kinda stuck, unless anyone knows what's up?
If you have one of the Sense 4.1 skins in use, then The World Clock will crash to homescreen without any message when the cities are plotted on to the map.
The background of the phone dialer is messed up with Serene in use.
The bottom bar (on the app drawer) is always the default colour with the default blue background colours.

is there a way to port sense 4+ skins to sense 4.1?

To have the clock work do the follow :
1-download the skin.
2-do not install the apk file.
3-move the downloaded apk file and put in system/app then change the permission then directly restart your phone should work perfectly.

Has this worked for you? I tried putting it straight in to /system/app, but it doesn't appear in Skins after a restart.

Confirmed, works fine on Maximus v5! No crashes in clock app.
Used root explorer to copy to system/app, set permissions as per other skins, reboot.

You're right. The Serene I was using for testing was didn't have the edited AndroidManifest, so got the proper one and it works fine. I'll edit the first page.

After further testing, while the Skins do appear, does the lock ring and navbar change skin as well for you? After putting them in /system/app, I select the skin, but the lock ring etc stay as stock, but the background image changes.

so far looks good, currently no found issues but i just installed it.
edit: ok, the bloatware needs to go!!! (news program and the tips widget). calendar widget, GV look like stock, im not sure if there was intention on your part to keep it that way or if it should be themed somehow because facebook looks themed somehow but cannot be read since the text color is too dark with the background, (cant speak for twitter as i dont use it or even have twitter on my phone)
gmail, market, fm radio, email, icons could use the blue color to match.
not sure how to install the zips for battery and lockscreen posted above....
overall it has great potential, i love the sharp looking icons in ADW launcher when long pressing an app on home screen and the options box pops up!
On landscape, the unlock buttons for the scrolling lock are not all themed.

First off this is a very informative comment, Thank you. As far as the "bloatware" those are Gapps and can be uninstalled. I do not plan much for Gapps as there are themers that specialize in this and it would be double work.

I had not heard this issue before as the other devices running this theme do not have a keyboard and so the lockscreen is in portrait only. I will fix this for sure.
No prob, I removed the apps asap anyways. I didn't know they were stuck there. Glad I could help, so far I like it. I haven't wanted to remove it asap or anything.
Maybe a little bit of background on the top of the pull down so the wallpaper does not show thru its hard to read and see the icons as its too transparent.

Updated with #54
After much consideration I have decided not to make flashable themes anymore. The apk for the T-mobile theme engine will be used from now on. It has been a concern by some people how this will affect the lock screen theme as well as other things. I will include a metamorph theme to apply to fix this too.
The advantage to using this method is that I can include things like inclusive skins for paid apps such as Fancy Widgets, Launcher Pro Plus.
The other advantage is that from now on if you update CM7 you do not have to wait for me to update the theme since you already have it, the only extra effort on your part is to re-apply the MM theme.
I hope this will be good foe everyone. At this time I have a few issues I am trying to work out. The main one being the dialer. The theme engine doesn't like to resize the images so it looks bad. My proposition is to add a poll for now to get your ideas. Please vote HERE so I can know what you would like best. For now try the apk and let me know what you think.
Looks nice. Will try it soon!

Yeah the problem with that is the edit I made to get the black text was in the services.jar in the flashable version. I cannot add that to the apk. How would you feel about an inverted Carbon lock screen? If not I will remove that image and leave it stock.

[ROM/THEME] MIUIHO- ROM Idea [Update 8/31 Files Uploaded!]

MIUIHO - Inferior Human Organs Gingerbread with a taste of MIUI
So after a while of looking for a way to port MIUI to the Optimus V, and failing miserably, I decided to create my own MIUI port-ish ROM.
The concept of this ROM is combining the stability and features of IHO mixed with the stylish look of MIUI.
This is just a little taste of what it will look like:

DONE WITH EVERYTHING!
Adding more MIUI apps ported to MDPI as I find them.
==================================================
Downloads!
Download the ROM Here => MIUIHO.zip
(Mandatory!) Download Extra Files for MIUI-look and feel here => sdcardfiles.zip
Latest gapps=> gapps.zip
Stock Apps in case you want them back=> Stock_Apps.zip
Installation!
1. Flash the MIUIHO.zip in recovery mode (remeber this is IHO/Backside. please use the IHO Recovery just in case)
2. Flash gapps
3. Reboot
4. Go through usual Startup Setup
5. Choose your launcher
6. DON'T FREAK OUT! Everything looks stock, I know.
7. Go to your app launcher and launch Theme Chooser
8. (Obviously) Choose MIUI theme.
9. Download, if you haven't already, sdcard.zip and extract to the root of your SD card.
10. Reboot into recovery again.
11. Flash the zip called "statusbar_patch" in the TRANS folder.
12. Reboot system
13. TA-DA! Transparent statusbar with MIUI icons and launcher! MIUIHO is ready!
14. Go to GOSMS Pro and set it up, if not you will not get your texts (thanks pbailey212 for reminding me)
OPTIONAL STEPS!
15. Install HTC_IME keyboard of your choice from the "HTC_IME Keyboards" folder found in the sdcard. (Images of keyboards below)
Green with Black:
White with Blue:
16. If you have WidgetLocker, you can install a custom MIUI slider like the one in the screenshots. These sliders are found in the folder "WidgetLocker Themes" in your SDcard. There are different colors for more customization
QQLauncher Transparency & Themes (Thanks dr.notor)
"Hold your finger on the home screen for a while. Select Wallpapers from menu. From the next menu, select Live wallpapers. From the next menu, select MultiPicture Live Wallpaper. On next screen, tap on Settings, go to Common Settings - Picture Source. From the popup menu, choose either Single Picture or Picture Folder. On the prompt, do not forget to check "Use by default for this actions" and tap on MIUI Gallery. Go to wallpapers folder, choose a wallpaper, duh! Press back several times until you get back to the Set wallpaper screen. Tap on Set wallpaper. You are back to your homescreen."
Themes for QQ Launcher can be found here=> THEMES!

Extra*
As you can see, I've added 3 different launchers, this is due to the fact that some people may prefer the MIUI Launcher(qqlauncher) look instead of the Touchwiz Launcher, or vice-versa.I decided to include the 3 for more customization. When you first install the ROM, you will have the option to choose which one you want after you setup your Google account.
Also, if you want to restore the stock apps, just download the Stock_Apps.zip and restore them using File Expert. If you need more info on how to do this, just post a comment and I'll write detailed instructions!
Credits!
This ROM is based on Jerryscript's 8/25/11 build of IHO

Glad you like it! Maybe I'll change some things to make it look better overall. Some things I'am considering is changing the notification area colors so that it matches the overall look of the ROM. Any suggestions?
I'd love to see something that shows battery percentage, but I suppose that's kind of anti miui, lol
Sent from my LG-VM670 using XDA App
Actually the battery icon on top shows battery percentage, but since it was charging when I took the screenshot, it didn't show the battery percentage lol!
So what launcher are you going to use?
I' am still not sure if I should stick with the original MIUI icons, and Touchwiz 3.0 (used in the creenshots) or go with LauncherPro and use the SuaveHD icons!
sweet, i look forward to trying this out

Kind of a **** question, but might it be easier to make a theme for iho? Either way I like the look.
Yeah..at first I thought about that...but then I'd have to add all the different links to apps for MIUI look, plus the patcher for transparent status bar, plus the widgets, plus the touchwiz launcher, plus all the other things I'm planing.for this..so it was easier for me to just create the whole rom with everthything included xD

[PORTED][APP][HOLO] Holo themed TouchWiz ClockPackage

First of all, big thanks to kage00 for porting (de-touchwiz-ing) the ClockPackage.apk, and allowing me to use his work as a base. (Go to his thread and say thanks)
Second, another big thanks for Master Vertumus (for inspiration, and because I've learned much by analizing his themes)
Holo themed version of Touchwiz ClockPackage
I've themed and slightly modified the Clock application to bring it as close to the AOSP style, as possible.
A lot of touchwiz resources were replaced by original Android resources, the holo theme was also applied to the application activities. (AOSP menus, popup windows, etc)
Hope you like it!
Requirements
ICS or JB rom. 240 DPI
Screenshots
Album with 46 screenshots (including landscape)
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Known issues
The map for the world clock does not work, it is removed for now.
The toast message (saying alarm will alert in x hours later) does not show up.
In JB, the checkboxes on the "delete alarms" and "delete cities" screens does not show properly. (The checkbox only updates when the "delete all" checkbox is pressed.)
Solved issues / Changes
The "alarm repeat" / "snooze" / "smart alarm" radio buttons now have an indicator image.
The "My files" app is not included in this version. If you want to use your own alarm sounds, put them into "sdcard/Alarms"
Unnecessary resources were removed, therefore the apk size is reduced to 2.1MB (from 4.9MB)
Download
Download the CWM flashable zip (apk + media files)
Download only the apk (if you already have the media files)
Installation
1) Remove your previous clock from system/app (Move ClockPackage.apk to the sdcard). For CM10/9 I recommend disabling the default Clock. (Apps / Clock / Disable)
2) Install the cwm zip package.
or
Extract the cwm zip and manually put ClockPackageHolo.apk to system/app, and media files to system/media
3) If you have any problems with the app, post it here! (You can come back to this thread using the link under Settings / Credits)
If you find this useful, please hit [Thanks]! Thank you!

Great effort, Gyebro. It looks really nice and I'd love to use it a lot but I'm using 182 dpi. Nobody has done a multi-dpi version of this app and there are a lot of Slim ROM users who would love it.
Any chance on that?

atm i use the Clockpackage v2.4 from kage00 under 215dpi without problems on my phone.
especially with smart alert and there the touchscreenfunction (v2.2 worked, v2.3.5 doesnt work for me, v2.4 works again).

to fix your bugs restart from scracth, edit manifest xml and replace "DeviceDefault" stuffs to "Holo", this will save you lot and lot of work.
And edit clock style in framework res to match holo clock style.
Excuse the dumb/silly question, but what's the difference between this app and the one found here?

Excuse the dumb/silly question, but what's the difference between this app and the one found here?

Yes, the difference is that this one is holo-themed. And one minor thing is that the radio buttons are now visible in the alarm repeat / smart alarm options.

I have done it that way (replacing touchwiz themes, with holo themes in manifest, and replacing most of touchwiz styles with holo styles), but evil coders at Samsung have used a lot of custom elements (for example TWSoftkeyView and TWSoftkeyItem) which cannot be styled or modified easily (and there is no drawable resource behind them in the apk! -> They are getting resources from framework-res). And because I am not allowed to modify framework-res, I had to edit some smali, to redirect these custom elements to the drawable resources of the apk.
Sorry for a year late question. Does this remove the clock widget? Mine has dissapeared.
Thanks for the Touchwiz ClockPackage, I just love the Smart Alarm function !!!!
I've made a small change in the LockClock (the Clock Widget from CM10), so that it automatically launches the Touchwiz ClockPackage when clicking the clock, as it used to launch the CM DeskClock. Now my system is complete again !
If someone wants to try it, just drop me a line and I'll send you the file or instructions...
Is there any reason why this wouldn't work on NeatROM 4.8 (4.1.2)? I've flashed the CWM package after removing the old clock package apk, but the new clock app won't launch when i try it. Just getting a black screen and then FC.
I love the look of this and would really like to have it working. Any ideas?
Thanks!
I fell in love with the "soft alarm" function of this app when I was using that ROM, and I missed it! Thanks for your work.
Running this on an SGS2 with Jelly Bean 4.2.2 Dirty Unicorns, and the app is working perfectly for me!
Afraid Ilve got problems...
Hi.
Thanks for this mod. Generally it works, and I've got my smart alarms (and programmable snoozes) back on my SGS2. But I've got two wrinkles, which I think may be related, and I wonder if you can shed any light on them.
1. There seems to be three copies of all the smart alarm sounds!
2. Countdown timer breaks. When it reaches zero, it says "Unfortunately, Clock has stopped". When clock restarts, that's when the alarm sounds. The only way to cancel the alarm is to countdown again, let it stop again.
If it helps, I installed the clock manually.
Any help gratefully received!
I am too looking for a version of this alarm that works on 4.4.2 (CM11)
I have a S2 and I just left the stock Samsung firmware and I managed to get the radio working.
I am now just missing the soft alarm from this app.
Please let me know if there is a port or a similar app with soft awake mode (Intelligent mode).
Thanks !

Any update on this thread for android 4.4 +. The app seems to be broken (alarm does not go off when screen is locked).

[MOD] Sense 4+ Rosie mods - 4x5 / no app labels / trans clock - updated 20th Jan

WHAT DO YOU GET IN THIS MOD?
4x5 Rosie homescreen - only enabled in portrait, landscape comes out very messy!
No app labels on homescreen
No labels on Settings widgets
Transparent clock widgets
The mods are contained in an AROMA installer, and you can choose any combination of the above options.
I have changed over to the Villaintheme system, so the installer just replaces the modified files within Rosie.apk and the widget apks. This should hopefully make the mod compatible with multiple ROMs, bases and even other Rosie mods. I haven't tested it with other Rosie mods, so please let me know if it does / doesn't work!
HOW IS THIS MOD DIFFERENT?
Ok, just to be clear. Many others have worked on this, and got it working pretty well.
In particular, I owe thanks to
mikeyxda - for the huge amount of groundwork he put into getting this working
il Duce } for their observations and modifications to mikeyxda's approach
jeffsanace }
Turge - for his implementation of the 4x5 mod for the Viper ROMs (and for the thread layout )
These guys have spent a lot of time on this, and much of the 4x5 homescreen mod is based on their work.
My addition?
I have managed to get the HTC 4x4 widgets working with the new layout. So no more widgets stuck under the statusbar.
REQUIREMENTS
Rooted XHDPI device running Sense 4+
Custom recovery (works with TWRP and CWM)
ROM based on 3.14.401.20 and higher -- confirmed to work with 3.14.401.24 (28th Nov),3.14.401.27 (6th Dec) and 3.14.401.31 (20th Jan)
BUGS
Of course, since this is still at best a hack job, there are still some issues:
4x4 widgets are still only 4x4, but will take up the whole homescreen, even in the 4x5 mod. Please see the additional notes about this in post 7
4x5 is only enabled in portrait. Enabling in landscape creates a huge mess, and I don't have enough time to fix that completely
Since 4x5 is only available in portrait, the bottom row of icons will disappear in landscape orientation. They will reappear when you go back to portrait again
Stock HTC widgets all fit fine, but there may be spacing/alignment issues with 3rd party widgets. That's an unfortunate side effect, but there's way too many 3rd party widgets to test and fix them all!!
When placing icons/widgets on a homescreen, the app placement outline will appear in the wrong place. The icon itself will drop where you place it, not where the outine is
Any others, please let me know!

Ok, important notes about the full page widgets with 4x5 mod:
1. They are just 4x4 widgets resized to sit in the right place. They will not fill the whole 4x5 page, so there will be a wasted area at the bottom. If you try to resize it to fill, you'll get overlap with the navbar. If you try to put icons in this row, they will disappear underneath the widget
2. I will not be able to fix this, since that will require changes to smali as well as m10 Mikeyxda did find a way to change 4x4 widgets to 4x5, but this requires a full wipe and reinstall of the rom. Sadly, even that doesn't fix it completely. So unless HTC change their code, this will always be a hack job at best.
3. If you do try resizing a 4x4 widget, you may find that you are then unable to delete the widget. If that is the case, just go into the homescreen overview and delete the whole panel
Would this work on Droid DNA 1080p screen with Sense 4+ odex stock rom?

Think the fanatic is right, there are two problems: odexed & screen-resolution.

My first thought was also no, but I think I remember reading somewhere that if you delete the odex file for an app, you can replace it with a deodexed version. Really not sure how the resolution would affect things though. Depends if the DNA uses the same version of sense 4.5. Also, you might have issues with the installer itself, since it might require a different installer binary.

Nice work mate it`s a shame Dougi didn`t add this to his mods making us have to choose, hope you find a way to add 5x6 app drawer and custom background on it so i can start using yours
As I told U, JUST KEEP PUSHING THE LIMITS

You mean the all apps icon? Yeah, sadly my Rosie mods will replace dougi's ones. At the moment theres no way to combine the two, but I'm hopeful that will change....

Just added a new version.....with the option to remove labels from HTC Settings widgets (see 6th screenshot)
Have just tested ...the current version works fine on the new 3.14.401.27 base. I will updated these mods to this base when I get time, but for now the ones in the OP work fine!
Installed on viper x 3.2.3 and works fine except i cant pull up the settings menu, but If i long press i can pull up recent apps.
Did a fresh rom install and it seems this mod is the culprit. Is there any solution. I love 4x5 Rosie
Thanks for all your hard work! I love your themes and mods. Currently using your Wraith 1.0 theme.

REQ: Fully + glassy + tinted Transparent 4x2 HTC WeatherClockWidget

REQ:
Ever since I had my first HTC - Legend, I have had this on all my phone's since, HTC Wildfire, HTC Sensation XE,
now on HOX I'm on ARHD 33, 1 - meaning Sense 5. And it's nowhere to be found.
What I'm after is the Sense 5 clock Widget, that is 4x2 - only fully transparent, and /or glassy tinted. Flips still there, but transparent - and naturally still flipping...
I have found one that was for Sense 4.1-4.5, naturally did not work for Sense 5.
I have found Sense 5 as well as Sense 5.5 - but of course, not for our HTC One X, but for the newer HTC One. Tried those too, but only rendered my HOX unusable.
Now I'm wondering if anyone has these, or can easily make them...I doubt I'm the only one who would really like them for the Sense 5 on HOX...?
Already checked the lyapota modpack as well as the Sense 5 Toolbox, nothing there... Will provide pics of what I'd like soon if anyone doesn't know what I mean.
Thanks in advance for any help in the matter.

This one was for the HTC Sensation XE, and was developed by Team Elegancia. My very favourite clock ever.
---
This picture was leaked by dev Dougi in his transparent Rosie for Sense 4+ thread - the actual clock however, never was...feel free to assist me in asking Dougi nicely
Vegetaleb did one, however the FLIPS we white, and has only been found working up to Sense 4.5 and base 3.18 - if anyone wants it - OR can fix it to fully transpanrent plus working with Sense 5 - here is the flashable zip...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=32926120&postcount=138
another dev also pointed me to this thread -
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2488641 - SADLY though this is for HTC One - and NOT our HTC One X, also it's based on Sense 5.5 (which might work with Sense 5, dunno... but One stuff do NOT work with One X sadly)
but these are definetely what I'd LOVE to have on my HOX...however would also love the numbers to be transparent...with only contours showing...
as well as the amazing ones in this post, there are many so won't post pics of the whole SHEBANG, but will leave a link to the actual post and see for yourself...these are to die for.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46582726&postcount=2
and of course these... esp the last one...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46582795&postcount=9
can ANYONE help? I have tried myself but as a noob its damn hard...
and I googled for days - and did a thorough search of XDA, Androidforums, Droidevs and a few more places coming up with NO results that worked.
Can anyone help?

This file to be in com.htc.resources.apk and replaces many panels in the rom.
As for me I like this clock widget
Well, the more, the merrier. But number one would be fully transparent, with only contours showing, including the numbers... Sorts like the 2nd picture only w the numbers being transparent too...only contours showing the numbers...or veeeery lightly glassy...
Thankful for just about anything tho, beggars can't be choosers... =)

Looking at that widget close-up - PC as opposed to mobile screen - it definetely looks transparent and very close to what I'd like... I'd love to try it if you can supply a flashable zip or such...
only thing that is NOT quite the way I thought I wanted it at first is the numbers... I guess I was after the stock feel of numbers, but transparent apart from contours...
but this looks damn good. Would def love to try it Yuris

Tried it. sadly way too dark for my red background. But definetely nice if you use a darker background...
Can you make it fully transparent or say 95% transparent including numbers transparent too - and contours maybe less clear, I would want it a bit more vague - glassy - like the 1st picture, the one from Sensation...
and well to be honest, I guess I'd prefer the Sense 3.6 style font from that Sensation pic too... is this even doable?
