My s3 has been acting up lately. Battery would read different. For example one second it would be 25% the next it would be 48% (tried it with different batteries). Sometimes incoming SMS wouldn't make any noise even though volume is on max. And Google play music randomly skips some songs.
I traced back what I did and here's the last modifications I did lead in up to these issues
- made a nandroid
- installed Linux kernel 3.0.41 as per the instructions
-installed setcpu
- didn't like it
- restored from nandroid
Stock touchwiz ROM. And I used the proper kernel for it. It was either .41 or .42. But I remember it being the right one and it worked.
Do u know how I can fix these issues.

I don't think that kernel is supported anymore. So not sure.
I would try to use kt's kernel if I were you.

Anyone used Pimp My ROM on their xperia play? I couldn't get it to work very well so didn't go through with the process. Anyone else had better luck?
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using xda app-developers app
No. Does it meant to work on ours?? Just curious. I've read about it but nver tried it tho.
Regards,
Sdojoin
It apparently works on every android device. It loaded up but it was quite unstable and buggy. Things would select themselves, without input from me and it wasn't calibrated very well.
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using xda app-developers app
Then i'll pass. If does not specify any list of compatability with "Play" on then it got potential to ruin ur phone. Its good to take risk, but its better to be sav.
Regards,
Sdojoin
The xperia play is HDPI, right?
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using xda app-developers app
I think...
i REALLY, REALLY want this.
Gonna try it now.
Ill post the result.
It just froze on me when i tried again. It keeps making selections itself and i was trying to battle against it to no avail

Hey try using 1.5 because the creator said theres no calibration on the latest aroma.

I couldn't get the calibration thing to work but i did get V1.5 to work by using the volume keys and home button. Rebooting now
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using xda app-developers app
YES, I GOT IT WORKING!!!
I used 1.5.
Make sure u use hardware controls( volume keys, home button) .
Everything works fine and smoother except for svoice. But thats probably because it doesnt work on GB
--- CyberScopes ---
Did you install ALL the tweaks?
I didn't and don't notice a huge difference but my play was quite smooth anyways. Tempted to try everything but there is no "unpimp my ROM" as of yet.
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using xda app-developers app
Yep used all tweak.
There's a huge difference.
Probably because im not using supercharger
---CyberScopes---
I am supercharged, but only the launcher. I might go back and do all the tweaks. Is gaming fine for you cause i thought some things may make gaming worse?

Sorry, that was a bit unclear, but surely you saw a thread on XDA about swapping and explaining the process of swapping etc.?
If so, try asking in that thread?

It does actually help, and the area where I can most see it, is the keyboard ... Try typing before/after the tweak pack ... NOTICABLE difference ... Although, I can't remember myself putting all the animations on 0.5x, I recall them being at 1x ...
I'll give it a shot. I've tried out many tweaks.

Goddly this has made a huge difference on my Gnex. Idk if it is that I had a lot more tweaks on the S3 compared to the Gnex but immediately noticed difference on Gnex. A lot snappier and already noticed less battery drain. Can't wait until it runs through several cycles and settles in.
