Hi guys,
Is anyone else experiencing the XDA app being extremely unstable? I can't add favourites or anything, just hope there is an update coming soon or if I'm the only user experiencing this.
I haven't posted this in the Q&A part as I don't feel it being right placed in there.

No problems here either, on my HOX.

I'm only using the Standard App, might purchase the premium tomorrow. Does the free app regularly receive updates?

i would say do not bother with the premium app and go for Tapatalk. Same thing but even better and you can also use it for other sites like xda that uses the tapatalk feature.

I after disagree sorry xda app is less than £1 and buying that app supports this superb site. So my advice would be buy both, if you use more than just xda.
xda premium is really nice, the last update made it even nicer

Crashed at first since the app update on the one x but a reboot seems to have sorted it.
The app is terrible on stock 10.1, crashes at least 5 times a day.
does anyone use the HD app on their HOX?

I think I'll just go with the XDA Premium, can't buy it until tomorrow though. I only use XDA and just having a quick look at screenshots of the premium application on the Play Store it does look gorgeous. I'd like to give something towards XDA too, whenever I have had a problem, 99% of the time a fix has been waiting for me on here.

Yeah, the new xda premium app looks fantastic. I always use the xda free display style, and it looks even better on the update.
And it's good to buy it to support xda

Ok I ignored this app completely, I don't buy into gimmicks. ..
Just decided for fun to try it because I'm bored. Results speak for themself.
Nothing CRAZY, but a difference on the positive side (specifically ping).
Bottom three are without, top three are with.

I tried this a year or so ago. All it really does is turn airplane mode on then off again. Unless they figured something else out which i kinda doubt.
It was certainly worth trying though!
Try using airplane mode next time before using this and see if your results are similar.

The thing that this app does is turn off network and turn on (like the other guy above me says) usually when you moved around town the phone keeps connected to a tower that is not closed to you, but it figures since strength doesn't feel too weak; it must be good to keep connected to it. This app disconnects the network and connected back, the phone search for closest tower therefore you get diferent speeds because you might have been connected to a different tower that had more or less smartphones using it. Sometimes when people turn off phone and turn it back on battery life seem better, there connected to a closer so data doesn't travel too far, or like how you have better battery life on wifi

Anyone else have the sprint version of this phone and have problems with 3g data at times. For example it sometimes says I have full bars but Facebook will say that I don't have a connection at all. I'm wondering if its the phone or does sprint just have crappy 3g in LA? What do you guys think?

Its the network its been happenin to my Galaxy nexus too
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app
OK so switch to just CDMA helped a bit but its still happening. I think it may be a soft wear issue. I hope that's just it.

That upload speeds are faster because they're not as heavily impacted by users as download speeds are. In other words, your local site is over capacity and its resulting in slower speeds for everyone. Once sprint upgrades your site, it'll be epic.

Getting fast enough speeds. I don't run speedtests because such apps burn through 100s of megabytes very quickly and I only have the 2gb plan. But I did run a speedtest when I first activated it, and things were quite fast.

I have one also, it's in my second floor transmitting down to the receiver on the first floor. It works okay. I don't get 4 bars, but I also don't get dropped calls anymore and usually have 2 to 3 bars depending on where in the house I am.
Mine was free also because I complained about my coverage. I wouldn't pay too much for one though, unless you get a really good signal from the second floor that you can use.

Got one free from T-Mobile.
I was having almost no reception and this stopped the dropped calls but the gain is not like getting full bars while without gets none, if you know what I mean. It just makes the phone usable without having to use your wifi for calling. My wifi calling wasn't good for many contacts. They kept saying my voice was breaking up using the wifi so I asked t-mo to help improve the service for me and they sent the booster. No extension on the contract, no charge for the unit, and not even a charge for shipping.
Sometimes they surprise me with their customer service, and sometimes they just stink!
I guess it depends on who is "helping" you.
Bottom line, the booster works. You cannot amplify a ZERO SIGNAL so remember, you at least have to have something like 1 or two bars and it will work. They even replaced the unit after 7 months cause the signal was getting weak in the house so they said the booster was failing. Again, Free-99 for the replacement. Can't grumble about service like that.......
