Hi to all. I have a DHD with ARHD 6.2 Rom installed. This is the issue I 'm having. Anybody has got some idea? :
"with my music player something strange is going on... When I connect my headphones to listen, the music and the player go fine... After a while the songs start skipping on their own and some also go in fast forward...... It seems like if the phone is receiving some inputs like in the headphones with the built in control... I 've seen it happens when lockscreen goes on and goes on also after I unlock it.. I tried changing the values in daemon controller, maybe too low values, but it 's not this the bug....... I 've also tried to change the headphones, didn 't solve it.... I don 't know if it 's hardware because I also tried to move the cable and the jack plugged in the phone but nothing happens...... It happens on it 's own....... I really don 't have noooooooo idea.. :-\
ROM is installed after a full wipe."

Try an app called 'Headset blocker" by Roadkill, its free in the android market and simply blocks any false signals from your headphones. I had the same issue with mine but it kept calling people while I was listening to music!
Install the app and enable headset blocking, or keep the widget on your home screen and turn it on and off as you please.

I read in another thread that the number of rings on the headphones where you plug it in the phone causes the same problems. That is the problem that I have with headphones that I got.
i had a similar problem on the stock gingerbread a few weeks back. all it took to resolve it was a hard reset, fastboot off
I have a sgh i747m rooted running 4.3. My problem started before the update to 4.3. When ever I turn on my Bluetooth to connect with my pioneer radio in my truck it seems to lower my notification volume, in fact all volumes are affected. Even after I disconnect the Bluetooth it still keeps the volume low. The only way to get the volume back to normal is to reboot the phone. It's becoming a pita. I don't want to reboot my phone every time I get out of my truck. I thought that by updating to 4.3 would have fixed the problem but it didn't. I uninstalled several apps I thought were the culprit but no luck. I thought it was Tasker because I use it to turn of my Bluetooth when I leave my truck. But I uninstalled Tasker and secure settings and I still had the problem. That's when I noticed it was happening only when I used Bluetooth that it screws up my sound volume. I hope someone can help me out and figure out what is causing this annoyance.
Thanks.

Nobody ever have this problem?

OK. I have narrowed it down a little more. I can turn on Bluetooth and it does not affect my volumes. But as soon as it connects to my radio in my truck it lowers all the volumes and only a reboot can put the volume back to the way they were. Any help would be appreciated as its driving me crazy.

you can try a 3rd party app, like bluetooth volume and see if that patches it
OK Thanks I'll try it.

Well i have tried that and i still have the problem. If i connect to any Bluetooth device it lowers all my volumes by about 3/4 and puts all the volume sliders to the max position. I have gone through several apps to see if they have Bluetooth settings and found nothing. I have power amp installed and checked it settings and found nothing, I even uninstalled it and it did not help.
I deleted all my Bluetooth profiles in my phone and in my Pioneer radio and reconnected it and that did not work. I'm at a loss.:crying: There has to be a setting or an app that's causing this issue as it started before the 4.3 update. I just cant find it.
Any help from the XDA phone gurus would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Volume issues fixed. 100% Working fix.
OK. I was still having the problem even after deleting most of the apps i thought were causing the problem. But had no luck fixing the volume issue. I remembered my son saying he has had a problem with his phone not connecting to the Bluetooth also but his had a different error. So i asked him what his issue was and he said every time he tries to connect he gets an error saying "unable to play during call" So i googled his problem and found the answer and it fixed his Bluetooth error. I then checked my own settings and changed it also and if fixed mine.
So If you use text plus go to settings and unselect enable incoming calls, and that will fix the unable to play during call error when using your music player over Bluetooth. And like me if your also having volume issues after connecting to Bluetooth it will fix that also. Make sure to reboot your phone after the change.
I hope this helps somebody as this problem has been driving me crazy for months now. I was so close to doing a factory reset and re flashing the rooted 4.3 rom again.

The problem with the volume that you are facing is because the operating system thinks that some application is in call.
And in "Call" mode Volumes are adjusted appropiately as it should be in a normal call and all the sounds come out of earpiece.
And due to this call mode if you try to play music in stock app, you'll get error "Unable to play during call" error.
I get this problem too, and by killing Hangouts or Facebook Messenger the problem resolves.
unable to find some permanent solution
Hit Thanks!, if it helps
Hey guys,
Just got my M8 last week and I love it, but there's one thing so far that has been bugging me. When either playing or streaming music via BT in the car or via headphones at the gym/home, I've noticed that my notification sounds will not come through. Every other android phone (or iphone) that I've owned that I can remember has always attenuated the music for a second to play the notification sound. So far, I have not been able to figure out how to get my M8 to do this. It doesn't even vibrate to let me know I have a text/email/whatever... at best, I'll look down at the phone and the notification light will be blinking.
So, can anyone point me in the right direction to get this feature working again?
Also, FYI - I'm on the T-Mobile stock, rooted ROM with Xposed installed and s-off
Hi All,
I've noticed that when I'm listening to music or podcasts (via Rocket Player, Pocket Casts, etc. ) over bluetooth in my car, I cannot hear any notifications. The music/audio pauses briefly to play the notification sound, but no sound is heard. The same happens with turn by turn directions via Here Maps (haven't tried Google Maps yet, but I suspect the same issue would occur). Has anyone else run in to this issue?
Try the latest update released today: "Force output to be primary output when using BT_SCO."
Still the same issue even after the update, unfortunately.

Just thought I'd follow up on this in case anyone else is having this problem. For whatever reason bluetooth notification randomly started working for me a few days ago. No rhyme or reason, but I'm glad it's working now.
Hi,
I have my OP3 for 2 weeks, but there is something strange, the phone is opening the music player in the notification without reasons, sometimes when I'm scrolling across an app or while I lock the phone. At least 2/3 times per days !
But it doesn't launch the music, it just open the music player in the notification.
I'm using full STOCK phone, I disabled the next/previous music gestures, didn't changed anything !
If someone could help me for that it would be nice ! Is it a know software issue ? Maybe I would have a hardware issue ?
Thanks !
This won't be much help but sometimes PowerAmp did that too on CM13 for absolutely no reason, with BT off, so it wouldn't have connected to the car stereo. Wish I could figure out why

Could it be hardware related ?
I have been having the same problem for a long time and I have always been on OxygenOS(currently running the Open Beta 7). I always thought it was a problem with Saavn but I didn't look for an alternative or a solution since I had paid for its pro service. This now seems to be a general problem...

Edit: Never mind, somehow I missed that you already tried this, sorry.
Disable the "Music control" from Settings->Gestures and see if that helps. I had the music player opening a couple of times when leaving locked phone on the table, I guess my fingers touched the screen and phone thought I was drawing the music control gestures

Still happning on the Beta 7 ?
How is it possible ? It's not software solvable ?
Because if it's a hardware issue that I couldn't fix then I would like to know it and maybe push back the phone before the end of my 15 days return.
I had a similar issue where Google music would start by itself, even with gestures disabled. I uninstalled gm updates, cleared all cache, reinstalled gm. So far so good. However, just today another perhaps unrelated problem: music is routed through external speakers while listening over the same wired headphones. I made sure plugged in all the way, it only worked by removing and reinserting them.

hi
its not a hardware issue. Actually its a gesture issue. Disabled it from the gesture menu. Problem solved for me
thanks

I already disabled gestures, didn't changed anything. This morning when I woke up the music player was again in the notification, whereas I didn't touched the phone during all the night. And this happen even when I'm using the phone.

Well, this seems to be a GM issue. I have Spotify on the phone and it's only launch the stock music player.
