Hi guys, I was wondering if there is any application or mod that would show the download speed on the status bar, like the MIUI rom does, I really like that feature, if I can get that in the ROM I am using right now (blackbean5) that would be awsome.

Is there anyway to remove the battery icon from the task bar on top???
i know jugg have the rom control where you can hide it. but since im switching over to a differnt rom i need to know if theres a .zip file that could do that.
im used to using miui battery bar. but i dun need 2 battery icons...
Thanks,
There's a paid app in the market called ROM Toolbox that can change your battery icon. It works with every ROM I've tried so far.
If you want to really customize it and don't mind having something else running on your phone all day you can try Super Statusbar as well, it comes with a built in MIUI bar.
Both come as free versions so you can test them out first.

okay, thanks man
Some of the icon changer won't work I've noticed you can only change the symbol if it has the symbol in ROM toolbox

I don't know what you mean? How would you have 2 battery icons? You can use uot kitchen and make your own battery
The MIUI battery bar runs horizontally across the top of your screen above your statusbar, so to have a second icon IN the status bar would be redundant in the OP's eyes.

This worked for me. If you can decompile/compile smali, it's easy to edit.

Im running the latest OTA on my dinc, I was wondering if there is an easy way to put the sense 2.1 status bar in sense 1.0 for the convenient quick settings tab, or is that doing some major customization work?
Thanks.

There is quite a bit of work involved in getting the quick settings working on 4.08.605.15. I managed to get qs tab and advanced power menu to work on my rom Touch of blue which is based on 4.08.605.15. However the qs tabs descriptions are wrong, they say low memory or low on space instead of on or off. Everything else is perfect and functional. I had to take a mod from the original gb ota, and modify it to get it to work. I just cant figure out the qs descriptions. There are several system files that need to be edited to get it to work. You could always try my rom. Its mostly stock just with a slight blue theme and the advanced features everyone wants. You can find the link to it in my sig.

Well, I don't know of any easy way to do that, but you should check out some apps. For example, I am running a Jellybean rom and I do not how the quick settings in the status bar. so, what i did is i downloaded an app called "notification toggle" from the play store. It is free, works well, and it does what it needs to. It also has a brightness and volume slider. check it out.
Hi everybody. I have a few questions and i was hoping someone here can help.
Right now I'm using jellybam rom 4.1.2 and dori kernel.
I was going for a minimalist home screen but i dont know how to make it work.
1. I want to use the PA extended desktop feature - i.e: no status bar.
2. I want to have all my notifications pop up with reply/dismiss options
3. I want to create a text only toggles widget ( kind of like minimalist text).
Right now i managed to make the popups work using an external app (notify plus) but even that is acting up after a few uses and when i do use it the status bar still keeps all the notifications - eventually making the phone slow down fromm the overload.
Does anyone have an idea what can i do?
Thabks in advance

Is there a mod to add data transfer speed the taskbar on cm 10 roms? I had a cm based rom on my phone that had this and I loved it. I don't really want to rom surf on my N7 right now so I was wondering if there's a mod to add this functionality to a standard cm rom.

Not a mod but a simple app can do this easily: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.internet.speed.meter.lite
Thanks for the suggestions guys. I was hoping to find it in mod form, though, because I'd like to have the reading in the status bar, in matching color, right next to the wifi. Silly, I know, but I'm peculiar about layout and aesthetics
