Hi all
I have a HTC Desire HD and have just rooted it. I've got the MIUI AU version and I love the interface. Only problem is, it doesn't seem to like my contacts very much. For example, even though I have someone saved in my contacts, when they text me, the text just shows their number and I have to save them again. Why would it not recognise the saved contact in the first place? I have limited understanding of all this root stuff and the main reason I had my phone rooted was because my previous interface wasn't that great and the phone was laggy and buggy. I also has millions of apps on the phone that I couldnt uninstall. (android 4.0.3)
Basically, can anyone give me any advice to sort my contacts out and have my phone running as awesomely as possible with this new rom?
P.s. any hints on good roms with the same UI would be great.
Thanks!
could be its a bit slow to link your contacts... tryed to sync every thing
could also be the rom you use..
i normally have a backup of my contacts on my sd card i import every time i try a new rom and i dont have the problem..
i like Bliss based Rom ... waiting for icecream when its out of beta face
i recommend you storing your contacts in your google account. if you save a contact a window will pop up which asks you were to store the contact. choose you're google account. if you're changing roms this is really helpful. you only have set up your google account and the phone will automatically sync them.
try this rom.

or if you like some ice cream flavour choose this one. but be aware of the fact is still in beta state. so some bugs will show

Hi All,
I have a question and a problem with the S3 im not liking. Been using my S3 for a while and the part I do not like is that in the contacts you can only link up to 5 links. Links meaning fb, gplus, linkedin, and so on.
I loved the fact on the ICS you can add as many as you needed/wanted.
Is there something Im missing?

Hi All,
I have upgraded my HTC One X to 4.1.1 (HTC pushed down update, stock ROM, not rooted) and since doing that the "share" option available in most apps is very light on with the apps that I can share links/videos/etc with.
The two I use the most aren't there - messages (sending SMS) and gmail.
When I first upgraded the only for options were AndSMB, AndFTP, Bluetooth, and Download Manager HD.
Since then I have factory reset the phone, including formatting the storage, I installed the bare minimum of apps I use everyday and tried it again. Whilst the situation has improved slightly, in Youtube when I share a video I now only get: Bluetooth, Drive, Dropbox and Facebook.
Does anyone know how I can add the system apps back to this list, such as gmail and messages?
Thanks for any help you can provide.
Jason
$2 Fixed it!
Well after some more googling I found about an app called AndShare with fixed the problem. I didn't bother with the free version, I just went straight to the Pro and it worked an abosolute treat.
This is not spam - I just thought i'd update the thread for anyone else who discovers this same problem in future.

I have the exact same problem! I can't find the app you mentioned though, happen to have a market link for it? That'd be much appreciated!
I have the same issue. In my case it's just the Gmail app I an missing. It is out of the share menu in every app... Is there a solution yet? Where can one find this Andshare app? Thank you
Hi guys,
I just updated to Jellytime and am loving it except for one thing.
I came from the stock firmware, and all my contacts were linked together (email, FB, phone, etc).
In addition I had the option to display only contacts with phone #s, which was a huge saving grace since I work from home on the internet and have a ton of "useless" emails.
I can't find that option with Jellytime, however.
So, if I'm just a dumbass, could someone please point me in the right direction?
And if this is a "missing" feature, does anyone know of a suitable replacement? I loved HTCs stock "People", FWIW...
Kind regards,
-Daniel
P.S. Thinking about moving to TrickDroid in hopes it will have these features. Comments on how it compares to Jellytime would be welcome!
Hi all
I have this issue since i upgrade my htc desire hd to android 4.4, the email af first looks ok, email list displays ok, but when i open a message, a black background with black letters appears and i don't know how to fixed
i've searching the entire google suggestions about it and they say a couple of things at common and no one works on my device:
1.- some of the websites says that replacing the stock email app with others such Aqua Mail, K9 Mal, etc etc will fix the problem....well not for me., i tried even with the official apps such, Gmail, GMX, hotmail, and still the same
2.- other websites say that tweaking the feature.xml in the /system/csc folder wil fixed....well, not for me. i think only Samsung S3 have those files
3.- other ones say that cleaning email cache works but really, not for me!!
im frustrated, desperate, because i manage a couple of corporate emails and its so hard to read from the browser official pages
Help plz
