Lightweight Launcher ? - Xperia Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

What is the best looking launcher which allows all of my stock widgets to be placed + is lightweight with alot of free ram and for GB???
Alot to ask for.

I use Holo Launcher and I've seen my free ram get up to 277MB

Smart Launcher Pro is pretty light. The UI is rather nice, too, if you like simple and organized.

Try out GO Launcher.

Afaik launcher pro, go launcher, and holo should all work with "stock widgets". Although I don't know what widgets are in question.
Perhaps OP could clarify?

Stock widgets are the ones integrated on Timescape launcher, like the stock music player widget, photos and videos widget, weather widget, timescape widget, etc etc...
No launcher can (at the moment) can use them:

Forgot all of those, go with Stock SE Launcher. I think the name is Xperia Home.

I use stock XP launcher at Xperia NXT and its fast, and the icons are cooler than stock gb ugly v2.0

Zeam is my favorite GB launcher. They took 'lightweight' to hilarious extremes in making it.

Lifehome Launcher 2.3.2 - APK inside

Lifehome was updated to version 2.3.4 a few hours ago but I cannot seem to find it on the market?
Looks like development is very active though:
http://www.appbrain.com/app/livehome/com.mo.android.livehome
ETA: See post #3 for APK.
Okay reading on some other boards it looks like the developer marked the app as not compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S2. But it does work, quite stable too.
So the question is... is there a way to bypass the compatibility check on the market? Or any other way to get the latest update of the launcher? I really love the amount of options it gives, kind of like a mix between ADW Launcher and Launcher Pro...
And those transition effects are really neat
Found the free version of LifeHome 2.3.2.

I've put all the widget in the same place. All other screens doesn't have it. I have a global look of what's happening around in one screen. Its a personal choice in matter of style and look.

Oh I really like GoLauncher Ex, thinking about switching back to it.
One think I wonder is why they don't have e.g. the Cube transition in the launcher, they do have it with SMS Pro though...

If you mean this for Go Launcher EX then you 're wrong my friend!
The Cube trasition effect (in two versions) is supported on the Launcher!!!
Which version do you have? Cause the latest is 2.35!

I meant the 3D effect, not the 2D versions that come with GoLauncher ex
Open up Go SMS and swipe to the left/right to see what I mean...
The Lifehome Launcher has real 3D transitions, another neat one would be the pageflip transition, it actually looks like you are really turning the page and I haven't seen a similar quality transition effect with any other launcher so far
I'll see if I can post screenshots later.
Yeah transitions looked like crap and it was very laggy

[Q] How do I make Deck's ReLoaded .500 RLS look like the pictures in the OP.

The thread is so long and I can't find the answer anywhere. No matter what I do in flashing or looking through settings can I get this ROM to look anything like the pictures. I would be very happy with that look if I could achieve it. Theme, launcher, widgets, etc. All I can come up with is a standard CM look.
Any help would be appreciated.

Very simple. Use holo launcher then use a ICS theme for the theme Chooser. The clock is a widget you can use fancy Widgets or beautiful Widgets.

Is that only ICS? Looks more AOKP, more black than I thought ICS was. I love the ROM, I just have this out of the box expectation of it looking like the OP photo. No offense to anyone is intended. I have just spent more time re-flashing than you can imagine, thinking it's something I'm doing wrong.
In the home screen pic, it looks like the ICS theme downloaded from Theme Chooser themes. The clock widget looks like one from Beautiful Widgets and the launcher is Holo launcher.
The advice is free....the bandwidth, not so much

Random widget from play store, Holo launcher, and the ics theme that comes with reloaded applied using the theme Chooser. I just did this less than a minute ago. Very simple.
Edit: seems that some of the icons from the mixer theme stuck and did not change to the ics icons but whatever. Try mixer its a good theme too.

[MOD][CM10.1] S4 TouchWiz Launcher for Galaxy W!:)

Lately, I've found the perfect launcher for our Galaxy W which have HDPI resolution, cuz the last S3 launcher I flashed have phone and SMS problems, after any phone calls or sms reply, the launcher force closed itself
With this new S4 version of TW Launcher, no more problem, we could call it stable!
TIP: If you want it to be smooth, don't use a live wallpaper, use a landscape or any picture you like!
Example:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

Make sure you're running Jellybean, CM10 or above
Just flash it on System Recovery, and you're done!:fingers-crossed:

Touchwiz Weather Widget clones?

Anyone know of a Touchwiz weather clone that will work on AOSP? I know you can flash the the TW launcher and weather widgets to AOSP now, but I like using launchers like Apex Or nova.... Any suggestions? Looking for a widget that changes the background of the widget as the weather changes...
Thanks!

Yeah I think I tried that, but they don't really update link the actual widget do they? I mean, if it's raining, I like how the widget has rain drops within it... Not trying to be picky, but wondering if there's anything like that out there
Oh I see. Well I know that go weather has themes that actually change with the weather but they don't look like touch wiz. Some are better.

Thanks for the info, but at the same time, it's not what I was looking for. There's no way to get that particular widget on another launcher like Nova... Nova is way more customizable and looks much better than TW in my opinion. I tried to give Nova root (Which apparently isn't necessary anymore on JB) and still can't insert that widget. Oh well, thanks anyways
