Flash for JB - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

Has anyone successfully gotten Flash installed on CM10?
If so... how did you get there?

I have had a copy of flash player saved in titanium backup since I had my old vibrant. I always restore it on my Hercules, but I'm not sure if it does anything. Currently I'm on paranoid android Rom which uses cm10 as a base. I went to Adobe online using my phone browser, but I didn't see any flash content to prove or disprove that it works.

Your Site works great but when I froze flash player anything that needs flash to run was blacked out!.. So flash player does work on jb
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium

It works perfectly you just have to have a copy of it to side load
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium

I think they keep one on their Site

Slow broswer?

Well i just upgraded to a s2 from a g2x.
And i find the s2 broswer to be crap. If im zoomed out it scrolls fine but when i zoom in it glitchs and lags a hell of a lot. Also notice there isnt a zoom button.
Is it my phone or just the broswer? And any way to fix it?
On stock root 2.3.6

Are you on a stock rooted rom? Like the one provided by mr x.. Then yeah that's a known problem for his base.

There is a specific browser issue with that rom. Use Juggernaut OR if u want stock, Mr x's stock rom.

Would like stock. So is it broswer problem or rom? If broswer couldnt i just rip it out of those rom? So i dont gotta reset everything.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using XDA App
I believe that's a common problem for stock browsers. My suggestion would be the same as what other have already mentioned just get dolphin and it should rid of your aches

It's a browser issue, so installing another browser should work fine.

ill try a few different roms first. I didnt like the market browser when i was using my g2x.
Any idea why that rom or other stock roms have this problem? I believe people have said "Mr x" build works without lag and his is Zipaligned and compression so maybe ram leak with stock builds?
just wondering
*edit
well flash mr x and its all working good. thanks all

It is a specific problem with the rom you flashed. Flash Mr x's stock deodexed rom instead.

I think it was noted that every rom that used mr.x base has the slow browser. Darkside fixed that, so he can actually use tdj's rom right now and it should be fine. Correct me if im wrong.

I like using Opera Mobile Browser 10. It has back and forward buttons.

I've tried most of the various ROMs in combination with just about all the different kernels, and as far as using the stock browser goes, the GingerSnap ROM (v1.21 with the built-in Faux kernel) is by far the best - the fastest, smoothest and least glitchy (using the KID modem in my case; KL1 may work better for others). Again, this is specifically regarding the performance of the stock browser, which I like the best and need to use a lot for research. Other ROMs may excel in other areas, and may even work better(?) with other browsers, but for stock browser usage, GingerSnap is best IMHO. (The reddish-orange color grew on me. Lol)

Just get opera or dolphin browser

Adobe discontinued flash for Android. ICS was the last version. You're in luck to still be able to get your hands on it. Save it in a safe place, dropbox, etc... It's working fine in JB cuz I'm using it now on JB.

Try this. Just install the latest Android version and use your stock browser. You might need to put the browser in desktop view.Flash works fine. Beware, your battery will drain faster. Works on stock JB.

I think it's my ROM. Its weird because it's a stock based ROM. FREEGS3 7.1.1 guess I'll be moving to another ROM tonight once in out of school. Flash although dead is used in so many places, it's insane.

Hulu Plus not on LiquidSmooth

I just flashed LiquidSmooth coming from SlimBean. When I went to install Hulu Plus it said my device is not compatible, where as it had been available on SlimBean? Any explanation or fix?
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app
Even when my phone was stock I couldn't get hulu plus to work. The s2 isn't compatible with its service. Not sure why u were able to get it to work on slimbean, maybe the kernel I don't know.

You could always try editing the build prop to make the app believe the phone is a different one

You need to use Dark side Super wipe. It's in the development section.
Go into recovery flash the zip then flash your room again. Should solve your problem.

This is the first time I've seen something like this on the t989. No idea what to to tell you except that it must be touchwiz related, since PAC ROM didn't display the same issue.

This has been reported on quite a bit. Odin flashing back to ICS will fix the issue but any Jelly Bean flash thereafter with a rom based on stock 4.1.2 will bring back the black type. My work around was to flash back to stock ICS and then load CyanogenMod 10.0. What is odd is that some phones will take odin upgrade from ICS and even from GB to the new stock JB with no problem. Haven't figured out why though. I'm thinking there is something in the new kernal included in the UVMC6 rom.

Real Racing 3 on Tmous Galaxy S2

So I found this game while using my HTC HD2 running jb 4.2.2 and when I tried to download it to my S2 it said not compatible with my device. Anyways I copied it to my S2 via sd card and its running very smooth. It has to download additional data, about 1gig but I think it is worth the download.
Im running stock tmous jb 4.1.2 so if anyone like me has trouble getting the app ill attach it here.
There are also hacks around but you have to be rooted to use them.
I hope this is not against the rules. This app is free and not hacked. Just providing it for people running stock.
