When my tablet is connected with the keyboard dock, I wanted to have the ability to use a Bluetooth mouse with it.
Has anyone successfully used a BT mouse with this Note 10.1 ?
Looking to buy the Logitech mouse for android tablets, ATM.

I use the logitech BT mouse no with no problems. Works perfectly.
Im using the Logitech bluetooth mouse with my N8000. Works great and makes a powerful combo when teamed up with the s-pen and bluetooth keyboard.

More and more this tablet is replacing my laptop.
I just wish that PowerPoint with embedded audio & video would work with just one of the android office suites. Instead I have to purchase a software to convert them on my laptop to video files.

If only that keyboard had the right shift key a little larger. I got rid of my computer a while ago - stinks when i want to flash my SGS3 though ! Have to borrow someone elses...
That said, i'm using the Apple BT keyboard and Logitech VX 470 (same mouse as in above picture). Works great! Only complaint is i wish the right mouse click went backwards instead of using the same button as left. Same can be said about pressing the scrolly wheel
Does that case close with the GN10 in it's pocket? If so can you post a pic

Yes it does close and has a strap that wraps around it to keep it closed. There's a bunch of pics on page 3, of the in the keyboard discussion thread.

OMG! I LOVE THIS PHONE even more. Tonight I was able to connect my Apple Bluetooth Keyboard and Rocksoul Bluetooth Mouse and am now doing my homework on my new tablet computer! Our Galaxy S2 really is an amazing device. Not only is it a sick phone, it allows us to have a personal computer in our hands ready to do whatever work we need at anytime.
This phone's value just went UP in my book. I got my Apple Silver Wireless Keyboard for 65.00 & currently use it with my Mac Mini.
The Rocksoul silver mouse set me back 25.00 tonight at Microcenter. I'm sure there may be cheaper alternatives however I can confirm both work very well and complement the phone very well.
Any questions please ask....by the way I posted this from my Apple keyboard!
The only caveat is that the phone allowed me to pair 2 devices at once. I had to unpair my bluetooth earpiece to get my mouse to pair up.
I'm sure there's a work around out there...for now I'm happy I'm able to do my homework on my phone it doesn't matter
HDMI to mini USB Cable works with this as well! So now I'm using my 32" HDTV as my computer mononitor...

Now, we need a keyboard app that once installed and selected, the on-screen keyboard will stay hidden. i remember back in the days before Android, with my Windows PDA, they had a small keyboard program that when activated will prevent the on screen keyboard from popping up when you needed to type.
It seems something like that should be out there in the market. i havent found it though.
Edit: i think i found one -
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.apedroid.hwkeyboardhelper&hl=en
It does exactly what i asked. theres a free version also.
Hey, i have to android devices i would like to be able to connect a Bluetooth keyboard to it to type assays on the go with. I would like to keep it in a respectable price range while still having good connection, battery life, and build quality. In all $50 is my Max besides a full size keyboard...
Now my first choice was a full size keyboard...take a look:
http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/...0d0bf86d2fen02
see for that keyboard i know i can trust that company in good build quality and good battery life, but with an $80 Price tag, its a bit much for a keyboard.
Next are some mini's off of Amazon.ca...take a look:
1. $15
Mini Bluetooth Keyboard for iPad/iPhone 4.0 OS/Android/Window Mobile/Symbian smartphone: Amazon.ca: Electronics
2. $20
DURAGADGET Miniature Bluetooth Tablet Keyboard For Apple iPad 2, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 & ASUS EeePad Transformer: Amazon.ca: Electronics
3. $30
K10 Bluetooth Keyboard, ideal for iPad/iPad2, iPhone with Bluetooth, Playstation 3, mobile devices with Windows Mobile / Nokia Symbian OS: Amazon.ca: Electronics
4. $40
Hip Street HS-PBMINIKYBD Mini Bluetooth Keyboard for Playbook (Black): Amazon.ca: Electronics
5. $40
Mini Handheld Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard with Joystick Mouse Control 76 keys: Amazon.ca: Electronics
So those are some ( Top Five ) That i looked at and believe to be ok options, now if anyone has any experience with any of these , witch would you recommend...
Thanks
I have the keyboard with joystick control and love it. Typing is easy to do on it, once you set up the initial connected it takes just a flip of a switch to pair. The joystick is cool because sometimes you just feel like using a mouse, scrolling also becomes easier with the touch scrolling the keyboard has.
I have one of those mini bluetooth keyboards and its a PITA to use, the keys are very soft and not very easy to press.
I am also starting to look for a full size bluetooth keyboard, especially once ubuntu for android gets released as I will be using my phone as silent internet machine
sorry,, i even didn't use any bluetooth keyboard
I use this one

I picked up a used Microsoft 6000 from ebay for $25 (including shipping).
I first saw and felt the keys at my local Frys, and loved it. (Frys wanted $99)
Honestly though, the keyboard (and detatched 10-key) just sit in my backpack. I lug it around to work with me every day, and when I go out of town, but still haven't found a good excuse to actually use it.
Motorola made one when the Xoom/Atrix released. Can be had for under $40, nice size in between really tiny and full size.

What if we don't use the stock browser?
I'm looking to buy a small Bluetooth keyboard for my Thrive. Most of the Android-specific ones have hotkeys for popular apps like the browser, e-mail, etc.
One problem I found is that some of them will only work with the stock browser and stock e-mail app (or Gmail).
Does anyone know of a Bluetooth keyboard that has hotkeys that will launch the e-mail and browser of my choice? I use K9 for mail and Dolphin to browse, so stock-app hotkeys don't work for me.
Any thoughts? Thanks!

Which I now wish I had left in the store. Great keyboard when it's working. Pairing it was a nightmare. No one should have to Google for hours because normal pairing we're used to just doesn't work.
Using this on my Epic Touch 4G & some bright kid in my house managed to unpair it. Once pairfed it's not like it has to be redone every time so since I forgot all I had to do, I spent hours looking for this info again.
NOW....for the life of me I cannot get this keyboard to connect with my Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0 which is supposed to have HID profile. It's paired but refuses to connect. Looking now at one of the minis.
I'm looking for a portable bluetooth keyboard that is not part of a case. My needs are something that is portable (folding or even rolling) to put in a briefcase but that gets decent reviews for really being able to type at a good clip on it.

I will back the suggestion up also. While it may not be as portable as a folding or soft keyboard, you will be able to type much faster and more accurately, while it will still take up little space. I ended up using a Microsoft Wedge keyboard, only because it was slightly smaller. While it is a good keyboard, I feel the Logitech is better.

the only problem is Samsung felt the need to put the usb port on the bottom, so it doesn't sit on the stand with the stock usb cable plugged in.

I just got the Logitech k920 also and I love it. But the biggest gripe I have is exactly the same as Colchiro, I hate that Samsung decided to put the charge port at the bottom of the unit cuz it doesn't coincide with the stand very well.
But still amazing product for only $40

In his thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2526070, BarryH nails the problem as a fight between the internal and external keyboards. His solution worked for me.
I don't think it matters which keyboard you have, as long as the internal keyboard is disabled while the Bluetooth is connected.

Im actually using a usb otg keyboard case for generic 10 inch tablets. Works well. I can set the tablet inside like a stand and plug up with my Logitech wireless mac touchpad and basically use the thing like a laptop. Much more stable than bluetooth even if you don't have that glitch (I dont) Use external keyboard helper pro to map special functions to the keys. Mine is set so I can control brightness, sound, and open several applications all from the keyboard. VERY NICE!!

I like the azio one better, because the dimensions look like they fit better with the note. (i.e., they are approximately the same width at about 9.5"). I have one of the Logitech keyboards that have the pop-up stand (http://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/tablet-keyboard-ipad), and while the keyboard is much more sturdy and the build quality is excellent, it drives me up the wall that the keyboard is wider than the tablet, which makes it not as portable as I would like.
(For what it's worth, the Azio can be found on Amazon for about $32).
I use my Motorola Bluetooth Keyboard, which I bought for the Motorola Xoom a couple of years ago ... works like a charm ...

How is the case? Ive been eyeing this keyboard but not sure how I will like toating around a keyboard for classes and not having it built into the base. I keep going back to the Poetic removable keyboard case.
Its actually well built and the keyboard feels great. The case has a faux leather feel and the sliding stand is plastic. Decent viewing angle. It has some useful Android specific keys on there which help u navigate around. It's responsive, to the point where it doesnt lag behind while typing, but that point where u initially start typing, it takes 2 seconds to realize which keyboard ur typing with, internal or external

The Anker Ultra Slim BT has anchored. I thought it were smaller, bu it has a fullsize layout, notebook-like look and feel. Would work flawlessly, if the Samsung keyboard would not kick Swiftkey, once the Anker is detected. I later have to restore Swiftkey as default kb. On my old tablet (with CM11) Swiftkey runs the external kb.
Im using the HP BT Keyboard... cheap and works flawless.... never disconnects....
I am looking for Bluetooth mice that are known to work with the N7-2013 running 4.4.2 stock. I've looked for previous threads but most of the recommendations were pretty expensive. Also, I think some of the previous problems reported were using older versions of Android so I don't know if they still apply.
I recall reading that some of the Bluetooth problems were with devices that were older and that Bluetooth 3.0 devices worked better. Is this true? Should I restrict my seach to BT 3.0 mice?
It would be nice if there were some cheaper recommendations that are known to work. Also smaller and lighter would be nice, but not a huge deal.
So, can you please post a link to any Bluetooth mice you are successfully using with the N7-2013 running 4.4.2?
Thanks.

You do not need the OTG cable because the connection interface is bluetooth which is wireless. As long as the mouse is also bluetooth, it will work after connecting (pairing).

This one worked for me too but then on my old Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 running Android 4.0 I guess haha.
The MS Bluetooth Sculpt Comfort Mouse no longer works directly in CM12 on my Tab Pro 8.4. The OS recognizes it as having a physical keyboard and blocks access to the built-in software keyboard.
I'm using a Ion e-blue mouse, I got it on aliexpress for about 8 bucks. The only issue i'm facing is relevant to the fact each time i turn it off i have to re-pair it again (unpairing first). For anything else it's really cool (and also small)
