Is there a way to disable ads in the YouTube app? I'm currently using adaway, but it seems like it's not doing the trick for the app. Thanks!
Sent from my SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
Nope. Either the browser or app will give you ads. No way around it.

What's the difference between this and the old one, bug fixes? Just curious

The uddate basically fixes problems with purchased apps not appearing under the My Apps section for some users.

That looks more like a malicious app. Have you downloaded anything sketchy recently?

Ad blockers can cause this.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using xda premium
I'm not using ad blockers..I clean cache.lastest upgrade and I been having this problem ever since I had my original note 1..
So I installed adaway to help get rid of those pesky ads. But it is not getting rid of ads in textfree. Any help?

Did you click "download files and apply ad blocking", and follow that up with a reboot?

Adaway isn't perfect (hence why it gets updated). So it's quite possible some apps will bypass it. If textfree asks for root permission, refuse it.

If text free uses airpush for ads, then it can't be blocked via adaway.

I scanned for any air push ad apps and it says there are none. When I selected the no ads setting in aroma when installing synergy, the ads were removed. But this rom does not have that and adaway does not work

Step #1 is make a backup
If you've done that
Download something like root browser lite from the store
Navigate to system/app and delete the apps you don't want....
Be careful though
