1) Extract the Zip File
2) Flash the FTF via Flashtool

whats the difference between the generic world and a specific region, as north america ?

nope, just finished flashing. i guess your download was corrupted... try to download again and reflash

customization... i'm not 100% sure but i believe world has only Sony bloatware and nothing operator or region related.

Ah ffs
There is no such version of "World" there are all released on specific markets, if you go to the phone menu, it says "world" but almost all official roms say that... what version did you flash before have this one?

That is correct.
I tried downloading this yesterday but norton 360 told me it was infected with a virus and quarantined it? which is a first with flashtool, any ideas guys?

If ever you take the time to read the Installation tab on the homepage :
Before downloading and even installing, disable your antivirus. The package is virus free. Antivirus complains about psneuter and zergRush root exploits and I still haven't found how to fool the antivirus.

Actually uname -m just gives you the architecture. So the best way is $(uname -m) == "x86_64"

the customization for India 4.1.2 is R11A and 4.2.2 is R4B. There is no R4B for 4.1.2.
I made cwm flashable zip as per the above guide now before flashing which steps should i undertake for the safety of my device???
How to join

If you are on stock firmware, just wipe cache and dalvik cache before flashing. If you are on other than stock then you have to wipe data also.

Can you please upload single ftf file of 760 MB to www.swankshare.com because it gives resume capability. I cannot download it with horrible internet speed at my end without any pause..! I shall be thankful to you.

This is a simple guide and it works for C1904 if your phone is fully rooted (I havent checked on a non-rooted phone, mine was rooted already)
This updates your phone to 15.4.A.0.23
All I have done is changed the below using "build prop editor" which you can download from the Play store.
ro.product.name = C1904_1274-5477
ro.semc.version.cust = 1274-5477
ro.semc.version.cust_revision = R1C
Once the above are changed, reboot your phone and start your Sony PC Companion, it will show you a popup that a new version 15.4.A.0.23 is available!
This a global version.

Installed apps were restored! they were not deleted!
In fact I did a factory reset purposely to know more about this new ROM.

OP I wanted to ask you if you have this problem?
When you go into the talk-back in accessibility and turn it on I have this weird problem where I am not able to click on anything. The whole touch screen kind of freezes and I have to double tap to navigate. The volume and power button seems to work fine. I turned it off and everything is back to normal.
I did factory reset the phone but the problem still exists.
>In the screenshot you can see that I am trying to pull down the nav bar but i can't do it and an yellow border comes up restricting the movement I have to hold it for sometime to pull it down.
This method worked for me, but I will need a easy method to root later on, because I want to restore the global setting to my local one

I guess the link is for a unofficial build? Or maybe it's strictly for the Cool S1?
I believe the S1 has the exact same specs as the X727. But, I have installed installed S1 roms on my phone in the past and it would get very hot, so if this ROm is strictly for the S1, I would agree with you and not try it.
They have many official roms, and alot of developers. So I would guess, that something specific for the X727 or X720 will turn up soon.

Yes, on ydss it shows in the description "for Cool S1 and Le Pro 3".
So those who wanna try, can do it, but only if you do a nandroid backup before!
Thx. currently my leaders are Aosp extended and RR. But it is worth checking.

Be careful!!! I have a x722, have installed this ROM and my phone has died. Now,my phone is a stone.Don't turn on,don't chargue,don't is recognizeded for the computer,don't work led of notifications.

No,this thread was edited after I installed this ROM. Have you read any comments about the compatibility with x722?.
I read the warned but it was after.
You can read "Last edited by Sony make.belive; Yesterday at 08:18 PM. Reason: Warning for hard bricking" so it is not my fault.

You are always responsible for ehat you flash to your phone.
I look always into the downloaded zip, BEFORE i flash ir. In this zip here, is included a firmware.zip. This means, it will flash a firmware to your phone.
And now think, can it be, that one firmwate will fit different phones?
No.
But this bricked your phone.
We all now the risk of flashing. I am a flashaholic, but it's always clear for my, it's my fault if something gets wrong.
Nobody will make pressure to me to flash his rom. Its always my opinion.
So act like an adult person and don't blame other peoplr for your own decision.

Don't blame other for your mistakes.
When ever you flash anything you have chance of being bricked.
On top it said for 720 so you took that chance when you decided to flash it.
I also flashed it and had a had time getting into recovery to get rid of it.
If it had bricked me it would have been my fault.

He is not the developer from this rom. And when you read the question and his answer, you must see that he missunterstood the question about the number.
But still, its up to you, to flash unknown stuff or not. I am sorry about your bricked phone, realy, but thats always possible when you flash things.
