No you can't download pics for galaxy y but you can get an ice like rom for it like creeds 3.5 with the ics trans theme

you should learn to search or at least do some research
the Galaxy Y won't get
an official Ice Cream Sandwich update.
You can get ia feel by installing custom
ROMs that are based on gingerbread eventually .these roms are beatiful and worth a try.But since u r new u can opt for various roms like repencis 3.5 and ussr.Both are good respectively.it requires rooting .(which ultimately voids warranty.)u can find it in general thread.Take ur own time

And I have to check the OTA update system too! Some of my friend and a team of my group mau5 had given me some technique to trace the activation of my ROM so for checking wether it is working or not i want a team of 3 to 4 peoples!
