Thanks! anyway,if I flash this radio, will it wipe my rom and data??
Sent from my Desire Z using xda app-developers app
Flashing a radio doesnt wipe your rom or data. You can always create a nandroid backup just in case, but it shouldn't change anything of your rom or data.

Ok thanks..have flashed the latest ota radio..what's the point of changing radio anyway? Other tha. Poor signal, anything else??
Sent from my Desire Z using xda app-developers app
Some roms require the new .19 radio to work propperly. The radio controlls cell radio, wifi and bluetooth, so changing radio sometimes solves problems with one of these.. I noticed much better cell signal and a longer battery life after flashing the .19 radio and matching rills.

Other than that,Nthing to do with speed of the rom right??

the radio can depend on rom as well
i was using the most recent bell radio with cm7.2 and it was fine
however when i switched over to genY it had echos so i switched over to the .19 radio
and the echo is now gone.
Seriously? Issue(echo) did occur from rom to rom?

huh, well you can always just download pinyin once and copy the .apk elswhere, then any rom you want push it to the phone or add it to the rom. I guess I'm not sure what you issue with downloading it is. as for a rom that comes stock with chinese I have never seen one, but I also have never looked for one
good luck!

There is app called juicedefender. It actually works by disabling auto synchronization and enabling it at some time intervals. This can give you much better battery on idle (when phone is not used and turned off)

Even the free version is helpful at extending battery time with the stock settings.

i agree with stankyou, why dont u put a list together so that other CDMA users have more of choice of roms

There is a torrent out there with a bunch of cdma desire roms packaged in it. Most of them are old and unsupported at this point...but they work. Do a google search for it and let me know if you found it, if you havent, I'll drop a link when I get home from work.
Sent from my HTC Desire CDMA using xda app-developers app
Looks like I can't post up a link for now, but check out the two CronMod CDMA roms. Quite slick. I currently run the CM7/AOSP and love it. I tried The CM9/AOSP version, but cannot connect to my network provider only wifi..seems to be very fast, and no lag from what I was able to see.
This app does exactly as its name. For short, it transmits whatever audio been played on ur device to an fm frequency. So that fm radios, tuners etc can play what you playing on your phone. If you still dont get the idea, pls google on what an Fm transmitter is.
Note this app isnt mine, I found it a while ago and it seems to have vannished off the internet.
As I have been told it was made by The Guys who created Spirit Fm. Mike if am correct and anyone else who I dont know about
So feel free and enjoy.
Here is the download link.
