I have been using my HTC One V for a month now on stock Rom, I had rooted it the moment i got it, but never really decided to flash roms. but i got tired of the stock and decided to try out some new roms.
Everything went cool, the stock rom would not let me recognize Edge data services that CM9 would. and nice to see i can get edge on my One V, on Tmobile. The problem is that since i dont use Data, I use Wifi for internet conection, and my Wifi has stopped functioning.
I tried flashing a custom kernel, but CWM would not let me flash it. This Kernel. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1607976
I Flashed my BakUps but wifi still does not work.
would like to know if someone knows what might be happening and how can i make CWM (Clockwork mod) to let me install because it tells me "Installation Aborted)
I ran Fix My WiFi but to no Avail.

Today,
I downloaded the Angry Birds Space for Android.
And i went through the files and found that most of the files are same as the files for bada os.
The folder data contain 6 folders which are same as bada's and the files and their formats are identical.
So, I tried replacing and edited the Appinfo.sys and AppSign.sys files.
So that changed the name.
And changed the Icon file to Angry Birds Space file.
So, The icon changed.
But when i start it goes upto the Splash screen and then crashes without any error.
I'm sure we can port this apps with minor modifications but not without the help of you guys.
But you are 100 % sure. That files are 100 % same like in Angry Birds ?
If this would be true, then in theory you could also replace Levels in Android Version...
Maybe we could slightly modify Angry Birds...
Maybe it is possible to replace some Graphic...
First I thought it is simple Flash...
Maybe it is possible to create own Level...
Best Regards

Here is the Angry Birds for bada os.
Please see for yourself

Yes.
But to some c programmer it would take lesser time than we think.
And we are replacing the data folders which just changes the files and not even the names.
So does it make any need of modification to the exe file?
And is there any software or program which can show the process which are running when trying to launch the Angry Birds Space app?
If so, We can try to fix the particular and move on.
try without replacing exe or with sp**fing method

I used the latest sp**fing method to Install the Angry Birds Space.
But it crashes at splash screen.
Need to know if there exists a program to shows the processes executed when starting a app.
unless both the Angry Birds versions are compiled in a multiplatform standard (eg. flash, java, html/css/javascript, ...), it's simply impossible make a porting without having the source code. At most you can substitute some textures..

You download both the games and then tell me.
The main folder data, which consists of nearly all the Angry Birds Space files are compatible with bada's angry birds version.
Maybe playing with the.exe file would help.
Hmmmmmm
About debuging your angry birds space
Try wincomm...it should show something

Process /Res/data/scripts/blocks.lua failed to start because the file did not exist in the Android version.
So, i borrowed the file blocks.lua from the Angry Birds for bada and the results were different,
It was able to run the blocks.lua file but again some other process causes it to crash.
P.S Seems like lua files are used in PSP.

Some more info about the .htb file is given here.
And after some tweaking,
The app stayed without crashing for sometime.
So, i think some process is killing at some point.
But i think we should reconstruct or reassign the files to the exe file.
But we cannot extract or view the current exe file.
Well
I said it before
Get a hacker/crazy developer to edit the .exe file for you
Best Regards

no.
lua files are a type of file used in a variety of applications on a variety of platforms, was used by relic in all the dawn of war PC games series etc:
you should not try to port it without recompiling a compatible executable for it, did you stop to consider that the original angry birds engine might not support the multiple gravity "wells" used in Angry birds space?

Sorry, i dont know about any "wells".
I had a slight feeling it will work if we try but,
I think its very time consuming and need knowledge and sources to recompile the .exe file.
But i cannot wait for them to provide Angry Birds Space for bada os.
So, No use of trying to run it.
Hi guys,
I'm using R22 since a week and i never find particular issues. Now is happening a bad thing...
Suddenly, I have that wifi is not working anymore and frequently phone reboots.
Wifi UI Settings is still on "Turning on.."
- switch button is gray
Hi tried to restore old backup as R21 or TrickDroidV3, but nothing is still changed.
I reflashed Radio, I used and I'm using PD98IMG_12.69.60.29_26.17.14.11_M.zip
I don't know what i have to do to solve this issue, any ideas?:crying:
Thanks for every helps :good:
I changed regional setting on wifi advanced setting with "Europe", now if I try to change it again, it still on the same value... I don't understand
Sent from my Desire HD using xda premium
In the image are figured as wifi setting ui is hang..

1. You might want to consider using the edit button.
2. Just to clarify, I'm assuming that wifi still doesn't work and you still get frequent reboots on both R21 and TrickDroid?
3. Did you change anything on your phone just before it started exhibiting those problems?
4. Just for troubleshooting you could try flashing a rooted stock and see if the problem still exists. Make sure you do a full wipe.
5. Since it's a problem across multiple ROMs it could very well be a hardware problem. Unfortunately, I don't know which hardware problem.

I think so, but i don't find a way to list devices(like "lspci" or similar *nix commands) to verify if the wifi module is "switched off" or "died".
Thanks for your answer.:good:

3 options:
1. netcfg.
2. Look in your logcat. There's often stuff about wpa_supplicant and other fun stuff there.
3. Dial *#*#INFO#*#*. There's wifi debugging info in there.

Something isn't working...
Now, I have to know something about logcat to create an useful log. I'll looking for information in the forum, I remember that there was something about it in the random blame's thread.
I'll update this thread with other info soon.
Thanks again for your tips.

Verticle lines after screen off
Hie guys, can any one help me am having verticle lines after not using my phone for a while. wen it stays for 5 minites and i unlock the screen there vertical lines and the screen glitches. i ha had this since r19 now on r23 but still happening
Ok, now I'm on stock.
Just for the record I contacted the phone assistance and I received three tips:
1. Unplug the battery for 5 minutes and check if the problem persist
2. Boot in Recovery mode ("stock" recovery) switch on the phone and press vol- until a vibration. Check the problem
3. Factory reset from hboot (this wipe everything on your phone) and check the problem
Nothing has solved my wifi problem, now I have to contact newly the assistance for an assistance center.
PS: sorry for my English...

EDIT: 11/15/2012 Wifi Still Not Working, I'll go to assistance.
After going back to stock wifi is now working
I believe that "stock" airplane mode fixed the problem. Yes, it is a strange conclusion.
For now I am enjoying the wifi, but I'll go back to jellytime soon.
I hope that this thread helps someone.
Good luck!

I have a phone Sony Xperia S LT26i (Android version 4.1.2, Build number 6.2.B.0.211). I do not know the history of this phone. It has problems with WiFi. When I want to connect WiFi (Setting-> Wireless & networks -> Turn on WiFi), I get a message Wi-Fi Error. It can not turn on WiFi. When I check the MAC-address WiFi (Setting-> About phone -> Status -> WiFi MAC-address) I always see it Unavailable. I check the file /data/ets/wifi/fw and I can see that there is written MAC-address 30:39:26:0B:C8:73. When I check MAC-address Bluetooth, I can see 90:C1:15:FC:6E:18. I know that usually MAC-address Bluetooth is slightly less, than the MAC-address WiFi, but numbers are relatives and similar. But I see that in my phone, they differ greatly!
Probably the problem with WiFi is what the hardware MAC-address Wi-fi and MAC-address WiFi in the file /data/ets/wifi/fw differ?
Help me please restore operability of WiFi.
Help me please...:crying:

I've done it already several times. It doesn't solve a problem.
There are still ideas?

When I start Dalvik Debug Monitor in Android SDK, I see the error log (at phone start), with reports about WiFi. This is shown below, but it is not complete logs, and only a few selected lines:

Do you have JellyBean .211 ? WIFI is one of the many bugs in this ROM, you'll have to wait for an update.
---------- Post added at 08:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:38 PM ----------
Try this, leave it on Airplane mode for 5 minutes, if that doesn't work, remove the sim card for 10 minutes and then insert it back in. Try you're WIFI after those tweaks.
---------- Post added at 08:53 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:42 PM ----------
Or, repair your phone with Pc Companion. Back up first, because it will erase everything.

Yes i have now JellyBean .211. But before I had version 2.73 and WIFI is not working on it. Then I updated to JB .211 by PC Companion . So this is an old problem. Now I'm waiting for help to solve it.

Ok, try to press UPDATE on Pc Companion and even if it says that you have the latest software installed it will give you the option to repair your phone. Or press Support Zone.

In the error log (in the message #6) reports that there is a problem with the driver and with wlan0. I want to check that all configuration files for WiFi and MAC are available in phone. Somebody can tell me what configuration files for WiFi and MAC have SXS? It is possible that in my SXS missing necessary files.
Definitely a hardware problem.
Hello everyone,
i am currently trying one last time to recover my Fire TV Stick. It lay on my shelf with a boot loop for quite a white (sometime in 2015),
but i thought i give it one last try and ask you guys for help.
So i bought a fastboot/a-to-a usb cable, to connect it, and i can actually connect via adblink v2.0.5, that is, the adb shell shows
"[email protected]", and i can see its file system, although i don't know if i have root access.
First some facts:
- Fire TV Stick "Codename Montoya"
- Possibly Firmware 5.0.51 or the next one that came along (5.2.1.0 ? - can i find this out via adb?)
- no custom recovery
- may have root access due to KingRoot app, SuperSU
- i installed some desktop / app manager app, maybe even with auto boot mode (to kodi, i think it was firestarter)
- boots to animated "Fire TV Stick" logo
- usb adb connection is stable, so no reboots or actual "loop", just the animated logo
How i ****ed it up:
- at the time, i had the vulnerable 5.0.5 firmware on the stick, and found out about the KingRoot method, wanted to stop
amazon pushing further updates, as i was quite content with the status quo
- i am/was a big fool trying kingroot via sideloaded .apk, then remove/replace with superSU because i didnt trust kingroot
- i got lucky, as it actually rooted my device after several runs, but then i could not remove kingroot, as it wouldnt let me
- i think i tried some root apps manager to remove kingroot, thats when the boot loop problem happened
- i thought i was an even bigger fool trying to recover the stick via pushing the buttons on the remote at boot, as it could have
reset the fire stick, so it is not connecting to wifi/adb would be disabled
Luckily, as it turns out, i can still access via adb, so maybe not everything is lost?
Back then I hadn't used adb much, only to sideload apks to the firetv stick, so i am not sure if there is any possibility to recover the stick.
Can you point me in the right direction? From here on i don't have a clue what to do/look for on the device.
Logs? Error messages? Whatever may help you to help me, just ask!
Thank you very much! Any help is appreciated!

Im almost fully certain that you will be able to recover the stick with Windows version of KINGOROOT. Not KING ROOT, KINGO ROOT. Install this on to a windows laptop or pc and make sure your adb drivers are installed.
Connect your Fire stick up to pc with USB lead and run the KINGO ROOT pc application.
This should restore your messed up su files and boot you back up.
If you are on 5.0.5.1 try it numerous times. As 5.0.5.1 seems to work for some but not others. Good luck.
Thanks, im going to try that right away!
Do you know if Kingo Root is safe? Its one thing to fiddle with on android devices, another on my home laptop...
My virus scanner warns me of a PUA/InstallCore(gen) when i try to start it.
Edit:
Just went with it, and it concluded sucessfully! Connected it to the power suppy, and it went from the white amazon logo to the color fire tv animated logo, but not any further
But at least, when i connect via adb, it now shows
[email protected]:/ $ su

[email protected]:/ #

Thanks, im going to try that right away!
Do you know if Kingo Root is safe? Its one thing to fiddle with on android devices, another on my home laptop...
My virus scanner warns me of a PUA/InstallCore(gen) when i try to start it.
Edit:
Just went with it, and it concluded sucessfully! Connected it to the power suppy, and it went from the white amazon logo to the color fire tv animated logo, but not any further
But at least, when i connect via adb, it now shows
So the rooting process worked and i have proper root now!
Here is the ps log again, after the Kingo Root:

Well as long as you have root... if you still can't get it to boot... once I release recovery you'll be able to fix it.

You could try re rooting it again with KINGOROOT.
Or now you have root just wait until rbox releases custom recovery as it now looks promising
Thanks,
i'll try both! Meanwhile i copied the output of logcat over to the pc, but can't make sense of too much, just that some services seem to constantly crash or are not available:

Greetings from Germany

This looks like i do actually have root access, right?

Hi,
To find firmware version and others info from your firestick tv via adb:
$ adb connect < ip firestick >
$ adb shell
[email protected]:/ $ getprop
So you can put here the output result info.
Can you type these command and put here result too:
[email protected]:/ $ pm list packages
and
[email protected]:/ $ pm list packages -d
and
[email protected]:/ $ pm list packages -3
Connect to adb via ADBfire then run this is a cmd window
adb shell pm uninstall com.kingouser.com
adb shell pm uninstall com.kingoapp.root
adb shell pm uninstall com.kingstudio.purify
adb shell pm uninstall com.kingroot.kinguser
adb shell pm list packages -3 -f
pause
Should un**** your stick
Ah, sorry guys, i was waiting for the release and forgot to check up here again - i am going to do what you recommended right away tomorrow and post results! Thanks again guys!
Hey,
i got the same issue as mention here --> https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/help/wifi-bluetooth-t3725452
i checked /efs/wifi/.mac.info which contains the right MAC. Anyway i was not able to activate WiFi or BT. There are a lot file inside the efs folder so i dont think the partition is corrupted.
I got lineage-microg flashed, but i also tried lineage build 07.09.2019 with same result.
Any suggestions how to fix this issue?
I reflashed original Firmware, which shows the correct MAC under Systemstatus, but i cannot enable WiFi or BT anyways ...

What info do you need?
I got the device from a friend because it refuses to charge. Because of this fault he put it inside a locker in his Bathroom for about a year.
I got it charging by holding down power and volume down for 30 seconds, plug in charger while holding down these buttons and hold it for again 30 seconds. After that it started to charge.
After first boot WiFi turned on but toogled of randomly. By toogling on BT it got better but not much. After i flashed lineage MAC was shown as 02:00:00:00:00 and WiFi wont turn on. So i reverted to Stock ROM. Here MAC was shown correctly but WiFi wont turn on. Same for BT. This is the current state.
Because my friend stored the device in his Bathroom (why people do sh*t like this???) i think maybe some steam found its way inside the device and maybe under/inside the Chip. But i want to be sure before i'll try to replace it.
