Ok if you can access recovery then get out the sd card and put it in another working phone then add few more default ROM-s and try them till it's boot.because maybe problem is kernel and you dont know what kernel is in there.
Or just try to flash an other proper kernel.

First of all, don't post questions in the development section, to answer your question, read the guides and stickys which should have been your first port of call.
no real need to put sd card in another phone.
just boot into cwm, goto mounts and storage. and look for something like mount USB storage.
and voila, your sd card will appear on your pc.
p.s try wiping /system from mounts and storage and flashing rom again

First if you want a custom rom on your phone, you will probably need a custom kernel ass well . Kernel is the bios for your phone and rom the OS. Go to the Rom thread and read there witch kernel is recommended for that rom. After flashing the kernel, go to CWM (Recovery) and flash the custom Rom and finally flash the wifi modules associated to that kernel.
CM based Roms does not work at all with stock kernels, they have their own kernels.
If you want a recommendation (for Kernel, Rom, baseband) look in my signature, you have links included !
Don`t forget the procedure for installing custom Rom (wipe everything : factory default, /system, /data, /dalvik) and only after wiping all install the rom.
Problems (assumed):
1. Locked bootloader
2. Didn't flash kernel
Fixes:
1. Unlock bootloader
2. Flash kernel via flashtool.

i was rooting my arc s and it was successfully rooted after that i wanted to install some custom rom on it, i tryed the Modded ICS one and installed there boot.img and now my phone just reboots after it shows the "XPERIA" logo

hi
So u have flashed boot but not rom?
U need to have the rom on your SD .
Turn off phone boot it up and when boot logo appears repeatly press back button (not sure if there's an indicater on that kernel or not)
This should boot cwm when in cwm make a backup
Select backup and restore then backup
When this completes wipe data ,clear cache and advanced clear dalvik cache
now select install zip from SD ,then choose zip from SD,then locate your rom file select it and hit yes when it finishes ,reboot and enjoy
Volume rocker moves up and down
And home or power button selects
If u can't get into cwm u have made a mistake flashing boot so reflash it before the above
Failing this return to stock by flash original fw thru flash tool
Plenty of tuts on that just search
Hope that helps

is not the solution,i try several times, and always the same results.
Try:
1) copy your rom into sdcard.
2) flash your kernel under fastboot mode, then reboot.
3) keep press volumn button while rebooting, it should b under cwm screen.
4) wipe dalvik cache under advance
5) wipe data partition
6) factory reset, then reboot again
7) go into cwm screen again, then choose install zip frm sdcard, choose n run the rom that u copy into sdcard earlier. Reboot again after completed.
8) u shall wait for a while when restarting... Then should b ok....
U may try this, dunno whether work for u not.

Note: Just factory reset not enough you have to wipe everything

Have you formatted system, data, cache partitions? I had similar problem with flashing a stock based rom because of such a stupid mistake.

Formatting /system on locked bootloader is the stupidest thing to do (I guess). You basically delete the Recovery and get in trouble.
You guessed wrong because some stock based roms require system partition to be formatted and not doing this caused some serious problems for me also flashing back to stock with flashtool is like pushing one button and then waiting for 5 minutes for flashing to complete so I don't see a problem here.

I have done every time these steps.
Factory reset
Wipe cache
Wipe delvik cache
Format system
Install rom from cwm.
Again clear cache and reboot gives me stuck at sony logo
I take it your phone as it should if you install stock ftf try ultimate hd just out of curiosity

I think I see a cause of your problems now... your rom is .431 but two of these roms base on .587 firmware and third one requires a custom kernel so try again with .587 kernel and report if this helped.

So please can you tell me the correct sequence to put custom rom....?
1st install kernel and then rom or or install the rom and then kernel?
It would be the best if you could unlock your bootloader but if you can't or don't want to then:
Download and flash this https://www.dropbox.com/s/957gfo1kaf7pefe/LT18i_4.1.B.0.587_(1254-2716).ftf (its stock untouched .587 ftf for arc s that I've used many times)
Root then install CWM with x-parts
Reboot to CWM format data cache system and dalvik cache
Install your rom
Reboot
And remember that you can use only stock based roms so racing bean wont work.
dear all,
please am facing a very bad problem and i need urgent help.
every time i wanted to flash a custom rom, to flash a stock rom, re-root the phone.
i mean that if i was in a custum rom and want to change the rom i stuck on the sony logo which force me to re-do all the first process (flash a stock rom, re-root the phone),
well my problem and the main question is... what am doing wrong?!?! please heeeeeelp.
When you install a custom rom install the kernel provided with that rom and read the instruction on that specific rom how to install

wipe davlik cache (cwm>advanced)
(i also format system but its optional)
install rom zip
reboot... i do this and i have never stuck on sony's logo

If you have a locked BL, I assume that CWM is installer onto the /system partition. So, if you try to wipe /system, it fails. But I think it should work for the cache...

Here, try using this CWM - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1939875
BTW, if you wipe /system then it should not give you any error because CWM is loaded into the ram. Once you reboot though, you will lose CWM.

It's the same for me. Locked bootloader, .55 ICS.
Downloaded a ROM, rebooted into CWM, wiped data, cache, dalvik cache and then formatted /system.
Then tried to flash the ROM and only after about 5 seconds it said that it's done.
Got stuck at sony logo when rebooting, couldn't enter CWM, too.
I did this even twice and both times the there was the same result. So I had to flash the official firmware via flashtool.
So, do I have to flash a clean official ICS firmware, root it and then without any wiping in CWM, simply flash the custom ROM?
Such a noob with my XS, although I modded my previous device a lot.

HI everyone
I made a mistake yesterday, I flashed a wrong kernel ( the F4ktion dedicated to the CM11 versions while I was 10.2 (I didnt pay attention to the mention JB).
The phone rebooted and stucked on the samsung logo. Then, screen slowly turning gray.
Having access to the download mode, I flashed the bml4 rom stock (probably the main mistake) but this time the phone was stuck on the second samsung logo without turning gray.
Last point, it is impossible for me to get to recovery mode, download fashion meanwhile is still accessible.
Is there a solution?
Thanks
I'd download a stock image of the firmware, install it using Odin and download mode, then flash TWRP recovery, format everything, and install the original firmware again using Odin. That way, you'd make sure your phone is completely clean of errors. Also, is format the micro sd as exFat.
Hope it helps

You didn't need to ODIN the stock ROM back. You could've just reflash the correct kernel and wipe cache/davilk and it should work. What I would recommend you do know is flash a custom recovery and do a complete wipe than ODIN again.

I don't get it, why format the MicroSD card as exFAT? FAT32 works just fine unless you have a 32GB+ card.
Hi
Thank's for your answers.
I'd like to keep the data on my sd card, so I have done the wipe cache and dalvik but still the same problems.
In your opinion, flash the cyanogen rom be able to fix this problem or isnt recommended?
If you have other opinions so I do not reset everything I'm interested. (Flash of good kernel, flash of f4ktion?..)
Otherwise I will resolve to do the full wipe.
You could try getting a stock kernel and flash it using Odin. I'd that doesn't work, i think you should full wipeand reinstall the firmware. I think you could also flash am original firmware image without wiping and that could fix the errors.

If you wiped davilk/cache and still doesn't work, it looks like you have to do a full wipe - no other ways around.
Just to clarify, you want to keep data on the internal storage or SD card? Full wipe does not wipe SD card unless you specifically tells it to.

Internal storage...and flash a cyanogen rom couldnt be a solution?
You still will need to flash a custom recovery first.
Than, if you want, you can install Cyanogen of course, it comes with kernel and all..
Just be sure that you are ready to switch the whole ROM

With a soft brick like stuck at boot animation, generally no. You need to do a clean wipe.
hi everyone! Firstly thank you for your help. so I resolved to do a complete wipe with relocation of a stock rom and it worked.
