Headphone hack?

As many know when wearing wired headphones with the ET4G notifications, ringtones and alarm sounds ring through the speaker; it's my only complaint about the device.
Might anyone know of a solution which will make notification sounds play through wired headphones and not the speaker?

Use poweramp? Voodoo sound used to fix this but sadly its not getting ported to sgsII

Same problem here, running Calkulin's 2.8.1 and using PowerAMP for my music player. It's a real pain while in the office!

Switch phone to vibrate? That's what I usually do.

Unfortunately the audio bug they speak of is on the epic 4g, not epic 4g touch. I tried to contact Samsung about it and they blew me off.

My Bluetooth is acting funny.

Ok Sorry if this has been posted. I searched but it was from the app and i didn't see anything.
When on a call using my Bluetooth sometime's I lose the ability to hear the other person. They can still hear me though. Disconnecting and then reconnecting the ear piece fixes it for awhile. I have replicated this issue with both my lg ear piece and my Motorola ear piece. I am stock rooted. Am I missing a setting or might this be a radio thing.
Used both these ear pieces with my et4g with no issues.

No been traveling for the last week and I am rooted. Haven't seen the update I can apply without unrooting so far and my pc is at home , but that is great news, thanks.

The update seems to have fixed my Bluetooth issues.

Went to the Spribt store yesterday and they exchanged the phone seemed to work better but this morning the music via bluetooth kept cutting out in the cars radio guess ill check voice calls later

My et4g use to cut out and a quick reboot always fixed it. Never really pinned down why it did this other than long up times without a reboot. Haven't had this issue on the note 2 yet.

Ya that worked for one call then it started messing up again.... if I'm on a call and it starts acting up I can toggle the headset button and it'll act right for a minute or so..... it's not just acting up this way with my headset but also my car:banghead:

Well I spoke to soon. still doing it just doesn't happen as often now. Maybe once or twice a day in stead of once or twice a call.

Do you have any bluetooth tethering apps? I noticed that since I deleted open garden and wiped almost everything... Since then it has only garbled once maybe twice today if my memory serves me right

Galaxy Note II speakers sound like breaking?

I got my galaxy note II today and im so happy! Way better then my galaxy s III.
okay I just have 1 little problem. Whenever I put my sound volume max like listening to a song on youtube or if im talking to someone on the phone using speakers. It sounds like its going to break. does anyone have that problem?

I do.. its especially bad when hooked up to my fm transmitter. Im sure its just software related though.

A speaker cracking is in no way software related. It is related to the horrible quality of the speaker.

I don't have that issue...I would take it back for an exchange. Sounds like a defective speaker.

Its the audio chip within the Note 2. ALL Note 2s do this so replacing it wont do much. Look it up for yourself. Its most noticeable at max volumes even with earphones in.

Mine sound fine to me over speaker or headphones.

Mine sounds so bad. I've never hear a speaker on a phone that sounds this bad but I traded my Nexus 4 for this Note 2 and the speaker isnt a "huge" deal to me. I wounder if i replace it how long it will last until it blows again... Anyone know if the speaker is under warranty?

Mic problem

So my note 2 mic is not working . Only speakerphone and bluetooth work. My question is is the mic easy to replace? Is it part of the motherboard or seperate? If its seperate anyone have a broken note 2 willing to sell? Is it weird that speakerphone works and not regular method of talking on a phone? Any help would be great. And by the way no voice apps work either ie google svoice etc. Thanks

Try going back to complete stock rom. If you are on custom rom.

What's funny is that if the speaker phone is working. Then in theory the Mic should b good. Because it uses the same one! I agree with the above poster, if your running a custom Rom I would go back to stock to see if that fixes your problem. Another thing I would look at is if the Mic, is clogged up with lint/dust. It happen to my brother's daughter phone. Called me saying her phone don't work, can't here her talking!! Cuz I'm the tech guy of the family, told her to try and clean out her Mic. After that she called her dad now he can here her fine.

Thanks for your help. I am on stock rom. Already faxtory reset. And tried to clean the mic hole. I'm out of ideas and don't want to take this phone apart. I use the bluetooth but it's driving me crazy.

Called Samsung they said it's easy to replace and it's only 25 bucks free shipping. Problem solved hopefully. Thanks for all the help. Im goong to attempt to do this muself

I forgot to mention I bought this phone used and have no paperwork . So I cant do warranty I dont think.
I bought it from cl and it worked fine for a few days . Before you say I got ripped off I only paid 100 cash + a galaxy s1. So even with the 25 $ mic still came out clean . Phoneis mint except non working mic .

I work for a cell phone retailer as a repair technician and warranty repair is free lol. I can see any manufacturer charging for shipping though, unless you complain enough. The warranty follows the device not the phone number

Well after over a month I finally got my note 2 back. .. They sent it back to me broken so I sent it back and finally got it yesterday. They replaced the pba which is the mother board ... It works great and glad to be back

Sorry to revive this thread, but I'm having the same issue. Completely stock, mic works with speakerphone and obviously bluetooth, but not on normal calls.
Thoughts?

I don't know about anyone else but how amazing would it be to control your phone with Jarvis like interaction? Not sure if possible but I figured I'd put the idea out there.

There's already a KITT one around somewhere, forget which device forum it was in themes and apps. JARVIS would be cool, it would go good with the JARVIS HUD uccw that looks like Tony Starks computers and the HUD in Iron Mans helmet.

I am sure this can be done. YOu have to gain access to the files needed though for K.I.T.T. you would have to rip the audio files from the garmin GPS and find out where the voice files are stored locally on the phone and replace them same goes for any app that uses voice......Hmm why dont we all tear into it and see if we can make this a reality instead of a dream.... Any one have the K.I.T.T. GPS?

This would be sweet....haha!!!! I will dream of this happening someday now...
