I did some stupid stuff, tried to install jelly bean and now my device is broken.,
So the thing is, phone is stuck at HTC logo, I cant access recovery mode. And my phone now says tempered and relocked at the top so I cant get it fixed with my carrier which is rogers.
I tried installing RUU for rogers but it says image error and wrong ruu. I can't find the right one and trust me i've searched everywhere.
I can connect my phone to computer and see fastboot usb. But other than that I can't do anything with it.
I tried flashing cwm but it says failed. I'll attach image here with it.
If there is any way to fix it, please help, I just bought this device and I love it, dont wanna lose it.
Also, I read that I can add custom recovery to the phone but without recovery menu I can't do that either. I have been searching everywhere for a week now. Whatever I do screws my phone more. Please let me know what can be done with it.
Thanks!
You appear to have the Rogers One X, yes? With the dual credit Snapdragon?
Then you're in the wrong forum, you're flashing the wrong software.
If you want to flash recovery, it's:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
BUT DONT FLASH THE WRONG ONE
Go to the correct sub forum for your phone and search, lots of people have flashed the Quad Core Tegra stuff onto the S4, so you should be able to find a guide.

I s-offed, rooted & put cm7 stable on a friends Incredible. He got to messing with ROM Manager. I'm not sure what he tried to flash, but it screwed this phone up big time. He said something about a kernel & also about an update to recovery. I told him not to mess with it, but i guess he doesn't pay attention.
Here's what it doing. Boot loops on white HTC splash screen. Boot loader won't recognize any PB31IMG.img's. It scans to where it finds the .img, but does nothing. It boots to clockwork recovery, but if you select any of the options, it goes to a blank screen with just the clockwork background image. I get the remote:not allowed error when trying to flash recovery through fastboot even though it still says s-off.
What I've tried. Loading several PB31IMG's with no results, including the one with the same radio. I've also tried every recovery pb31img except stock. Nothing happens. Tried doing an ruu, but since the phone won't boot to the os, it never sees the phone as attached even in hboot. I have the hboot drivers installed. I've tried running the unrevoked reflash_package again, but it won't recognize it in hboot either. I think you have to start from the ROM for the software to work.
I'm guessing i am going to have to fix it with some adb or fastboot commands, but i would need some guidance here. I have it set up, but i have no idea on what commands to use. I have searched & read these forums & can't find anyone with a similar problem.
If anyone has any ideas or knows what to do, let me know. If you need bootloader info, let me know. I told him I would try to fix it, but no promises. I have never seen anything like this and have semi bricked many devices. The post about it not recognizing the ruu images baffles me. I owned an evo 4g, which is very similar to the incredible, so I'm not completely unfamiliar with the way it works. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.
EDIT: NVMD! I figured out you have to use the trackpad to select anything in recovery instead of Power button. Sorry to waste your time. Have a great day!
CM powered EVO 3D, enough said.
Okay so i recently unlocked my bootloader on my att htc one x and all was going well until cm mod 10 was starting and it was stuck in a bootup loop animation so i decided to go back to the bootloader menu. I went into recovery with TWRP and wiped the cache, Dalvik cache and did a factory reset. It didnt work so i wiped the phone storage on accident and now i have no UI not even sense 4. Whenever i try to load the ohone it gets stuck forever on the HTC bootup screen. I forgot to make a backup and the ohone is not in usb debugging mode and i cant put another rom on the phone to at least be able to use it at all. I looked for hours upon hours to try to find a solution but i found non. Im sure im not the only one who has accidentily done this so im asking for help. If you have any usefull info please reply to this thread thankyou very much
flash your RUU. and this forum is for international version.
Go to the AT&T forum,
DO NOT FLASH ANYTHING FROM HERE !
you have the EVITA type phone, this is for the ENDEAVOURU
im pretty sure that i did use the evita type
im pretty sure i did use the evita type almost certain but the problem is that dont you have to have access to the phone to be able to flash a rom onto it and i dont have a rom so i cant get onto the phone. and once you get the phone unlocked its pretty much like the international ver.

You need to get into bootloader and recovery ....
In recovery you can mount the sd card as diskdrive and copy a rom onto it, in bootloader you have to flash the boot.img.this way you can install a new rom without entering a working OS.
But you have to go to the other forum dude ..... Nice to have you here but you're phone doesn't belong here
ok so heres my deal
i got this phone from a friend it was rooted and had custom firmware i leave my phone at the house and my roomate started messing around with it im not sure what he did but i come home its in a loop i try to restore and nothing factory reset nothing i go into recovery from fastboot and just right back to the loop ive since been able to install cwm via the terminal however i cant seem to find a way to flash a rom on to it from the terminal.
i found one video where a guy falshed the boot img a system img and a recovery img but the rom that i downloaded has no such images in the zip file only boot image.
ive been searching for days to try and resolve this but to no avail
i have an at&t one x using tmobile straight talk
im not sure what information is needed in order to help me resolve this
Well you have to be in the HTC one XL (AT&T) forum. This forum is for another type of hox with different hardware. Fladhing stuff from here can lead to a proper brick.
Cheers.
Hey there,
I have an HTC One M9 on Bell Mobility in Canada
I've completely messed up my phone trying to install an update for the new CM13 that wasn't working, but basically where I am now is that my phone can boot into download mode and bootloader mode no problem, but in the process of trying to fix it, some how my TWRP Recovery mode got wrecked. If i got to bootloader to reboot into recovery i get the message, "Failed to boot into recovery mode, press volume up or down to back to menu".
Now, I was going to try and mess around and try to flash back a recovery img that has twrp that can atleast get me somewhere, but now my phone wont even be recognized by ADB on a machine that was working for it last night, idk if it is because I cant get into recovery or what.
I've heard of people putting an RUU on their SD Card, which I have, then putting it in the phone with it renamed to something specific then it'll flash for them in download mode, but I don't know where to begin for that, especially trying to find one for Bell.
If anyone could give me any help it would be greatly appreciated.

Regarding the computer recognizing your phone - do you have HTC Sync Manager installed? That usually solves all my problems for drivers on a Windows computer. This might be necessary because you're connecting your phone while in bootloader or downloader mode.
A great place for learning to use and obtaining RUU files for the sd card method is Flippy498's Back-to-Stock spreadsheet.
It looks like the Bell Mobility variant of the M9 uses the WWE software, so you've got RUUs available.
Hey guys,
I would have liked to get the OREO update, because it said every time is up-to-date, and I wasn't patient. because all of these already get it, and the battery life was terrible with, and I have just 30 days to cancel the phone if I'm unsatisfied with it, so it was urgent for me to update and try it.
But I didn't know enough from the newest devices, so that I need unlocked bootloader to flash STOCK ROM or ROOT or for flash RECOVERY
Mine is XT1789-06, I tried to flash first this ROM:
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=962187416754456314
It didn't tell this is TMO. :/
This changed my baseband to TMO and my boot image to T-mobile, after I didn't have signal and the fingerprint sensor didn't work.
I wanted fix it with RETAIL ROM flashing.
I tried to flash this: https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=241773
After that my phone didn't boot, says your device is corrupt.
Cause this I tried to flash back the previous version so this: NASH_RETAIL_7.1.1_NPXS26.122-68-4_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip
from here https://firmware.center/firmware/Motorola/Moto Z2 Force/Stock/
But no result. The baseband stucked on TMO, the phone is not start up. Fall back to fast boot mode.
After and mean while these things I tried many things.
The Motorola Device Manager isn't working at all.
The Software Upgrade Assistant what the phone want when show boot up failed message isn't working just say processing device information and isn't going further. I don't understand why the phone ask it, because that is for verizon phones.
The RSD lite says the model name is Fastboot nash S and isn't start to flash anything, when I press the start it says the phone failed to switch to fastboot mode, but it's in that.
I tried already flash more different ROMs, but didn't work one of them .
Recovery is unable, the phone isn't rooted, the bootloader is locked, however sometimes it showed ""Your device software cannot be checked for corruption. Please lock the bootloader", but I checked in the powershell and in fastboot mode I looked what phone says, so it's locked.
I was thinking maybe if I unlock it will solve the problem, but I can't turn it on, so the developer options are unavailable and I don't know maybe it won't help, if I can do it somehow.
Now if I want turn on the phone it's going to fastboot mode right away or say your device is corrupt... and after.
I can't try flash it through Qualcomm 9008 because the PC recognise the device for fastboot device.
In the device manager the computer shows Motorola ADB interface.
I try to unbrick for 3 days, please help me.
Thanks a lot in advance.
Same here, if you find anything out DM me
I already contacted with the phone, I will bring back to Repait it.
I couldn't find out nothing, I tried everything what was possible.
i think i found a solution i just dont know how it works exactly, something to do with a batch file and a full flash of the phone
https://forum.xda-developers.com/z2-force/how-to/how-to-return-to-stock-sprint-t3694783 im going to try this and let you know
