Phone will not charge, orange and green lights flashing - HTC One X

Yesterday I plugeed my charger and wen to the other room, when I came back in a few hours the phone was completely DISCHARGED. If I unplug the charger and plug it back, first it flashes red, then red continues glowing (as if charging), then it flashes red and green a few times and then both lights turn off and it doesnt charge.
It seemed to me that it continues to charge while powering on and of (orange was glowing), but stops charging when booted (it says i should connect the charger and keeps dsicharging)
I thought it was a faulty battery, so I tried a method i found here to charge a phone using a fastboot batch file. Now my phone is fully charged via fastboot, but IT STILL WONT CHARGE WHEN BOOTED. I tried factory reset a few times, but no use.
The battery seems to be ok, because after fastboot charge the phone works ok and has same life time, but how do I get it to charge when booted?
And still if i boot it when powered off, i see green and orange lights flashing (though it cant be overheat) and then the charging stops.

Red & green flashing is an overheat warning,
You tried a factory reset?
Or restore to stock with a RUU?

Yup, factory reset did nothing.
My phone uses factory ROM, i never flashed it or anything

What OS version are you running?
I recommend running your latest RUU.

Can't really say right now, as i just discharged it again=\ i would guess the latest one, as I always install all updates.
Also i dont think its the roms problem, as I have had this same rom working for a few weeks without any issue.

[Q]Battery problem

hi guys,
I have this problems with my desire, like the phone green LED lights up but the batt stats shows thats its below 100% instead of fully charged.Sometime the battery have eg. 86% of batt left after quite and amount of usage(video) but when the charger was plug in, the green LED lights up straight away and the displayed batt life changes into fully charged.
Tried various calibrating method but the problem still persist. This only happens after i root and flashed a custom rom.
pardon my poor english.
any help????
Well if it happened after flashing custom rom, try flashing to another rom and recalibrate again. Try this if you already haven't forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=755903 .
your phone has to be fully charged (switched off untill red light turns green)
then switch back on, but un-plug it from the charger before you flash a rom

htc one x bricked

usual story.
got an htc one x. flashed unlocked all going well. installed a bad rom (did not make a back up)
froze at splash screen. only late last night i found disaster recovery, so i put it to download and shut off the phone. boot back up this evening and tried to install recovery re-lock bootloader, clear cashe etc but. i got a low battery warning when trying to flash.
i didn't have the latest clockwork mod for charging installed; and battery is too low to flash to it.
this is where things get different. i used the boot loader to power down. i plugged it in to the wall to charge and i got this strange flashing red led(not orange) after about an hour it went solid red. had it charging from the wall socket for well over 4 hours now with the solid red led.
then all of a sudden the led starts to flash red again. so i disconnect the phone and try to boot.... nothing happens. try bootloader mode(power + vol.dwn) nothing.
i had to hold the two buttons then plug in the wall charger. then it went into bootloader. problem is it says relocked AND security warning....... and still after all that time charging. i still get low battery warning @ flash.
so i tried to turn off the device again using the power down option. two things happen here. 1)if the charger is in the screen goes black and instantly restarts to fastboot usb menu. 2)if it isnt in it will turn off and wont turn back on (splash screen or bootloader) until the charger is back in.
so what ive done as of now is plug it in to charge over night and hope this thread can shed some light.
additional info:

os version: 1.28.707.10
clockwork mod version: 5.8.2.7
plz any help would be invaluable
EDIT: just turned on phone about ten minutes after i plugged it back in to the charger (held power button alone) splash screen is back (yay!!) but still battery low when trying to flash in
fastboot usb. ima try in the morning after a full night to the charger. fingers crossed

good luck to you and your phone. i was afraid of these things too, so before i started to do anything, i saved some roms onto my virtual sd card, just to be sure if i get stuck without a operation OS, i still have some roms on my memory. and before starting with anything, i charged my phone up to 95%.
sorry, i can not help you and i guess you have to wait for a solution.

Xperia Ion bricked. Any fix?

My ion did a ramdisk check, after it finished, it shows the internal memory (all 2gb) was filled, even though i only had a few programs installed. It kept restarting itself with a notification saying low memory. I did the power + volume up to restart it a few times and it keep powering off before I can reach the reset buttons. Now the power + volume up method is not working and the charge indicator light wont come on when being charged. Is my phone bricked? Any fix? Thanks.
Edit: I also tried the SEUS repair fix and tried to flash it with flashtool with no luck. No response from computer or the phone when i plugged in the usb with the volume down button. The phone wont go into flash mode.

Thanks for the reply.
Do you know if the phone is being charged when the charge indicator light will not turn on?
maybe try to charge without looking the indicator light for about 15 mins, then pull cable and charge it again, see if the light goes on. It might be your phone battery was completely drained.
What were you doing before all this happened?

I was just installing programs from the play store. The apps i was installing were all installed on my galaxy nexus before, so i don't think those caused it.
After a few hours of charging, the red LED lit up, but still wont turn on, hard reset, or go in flash mode. The red led lights up when the charger is plugged in and turns off when removed. Any ideas? Thanks.

Had that happen with my XS when I rooted and installed CWM that had battery charging issues (cwm not the phone) had to let it sit for a while charging before it finally showed the charging screen and would boot loop at the bootanimation. Did you do any mods to your ion?

No mods, but last night I did received an OTA update on the phone, it's like 8.6mb size. Not sure what it did because my phone's firmware stayed the same (2.3.7) after the update. Thanks.

it's the AT&T version.
Manage to turn it back on after a couple hours of charging, shows low battery. Thank you everyone
Now the original problem is back , the phone shows low memory even though i have less than 10 apps installed. It keeps restarting to ramdisk dump and then error. It wont even give me enough time to select factory reset before it crashes. When I flash it with flashtool, it gets stuck on flashing loader.

Have you tried using the Sony Update Service program:http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/update-service/ ?
When you were trying to flash it with flashtool did you select it to wipe everything?

Yes I tried the sony software, it said no updates are available.
I had all the wipes selected on flashtool.
It also just went back to brick mode after a ramdump. sigh this phone is driving me crazy. Guess i'' have to charge it like 5 to 6 hours to wake it back up again to fix the memory problem.
It happened to my XS before about stuck on flash loader. I just put the phone on charge around 7-8 hrs (just to make sure it has enough battery to make a full clean flash), then flashing loader problem disappear.

[Q] Screen Blinking Problem (GT-N5110)

Later this night my tablet was working perfectly... I was charging the tablet that was with %1 of battery
Suddenly, the tablet turned off, and when I tryed to turn it back on, the screen started blinking, and I coulnd't even turn it on because it freezes every time i tryed to boot it...
I tryed restoring a Nandroid Backup, and it worked, for 10 seconds :victory:
The blinking started again, so I tried flashing a new ROM, maybe it could work, but no
I wiped the data, cache dalvik-cache, and formated system, but when I tried to choose the ROM, this message "Couldn't mount /sdcard" appeared
So, my last chance was to flash a firmware via Odin, but also, didn´t work
I enter into Download Mode, loaded the firmware, clicked start, and "FAIL" when writing "boot"
What I tried
_Stock firmware 4.1.2
_Stock firmware 4.2.2
_Odin 3.07
_Odin 3.09
_Windows 8
_Windows 8.1
First what was the % of the battery??? Did you say one (1) ? Try charging it all the way till it says 100%
Second do you still have custom recovery? If so go to mounts and storage and see if it says unmount in front of the SD card ... if so hit that and it should turn to unmount... then try again to find your Rom.
Hoping this helps you

Never flash or attempt to start a device under minimum power. That is rule number one!
Like the above answer, with the device off, plug in power and let it charge to 100%.
Start up recovery, and flash a backup ROM.
Not sure about windows 8. can't vouch for you there.

Sorry if didn't specified better...
When it got broken the battery was %0, and I don't know if it´s getting charged because the only things I can do es enter into Download Mode, or watch that message about a bad flashing.
And about the Recovery, it got lost when the flashing went wrong. Anyway something happened with the internal storage that "wasn't mount", when in "mounts and storage" menu appeared like mounted
You think that if I charge the tablet some hours, will I be able to flash through Odin?
Or maybe any other idea?

When the tablet is off and you plug in the charger there should a battery "popping" up and should tell you how many % of charge it has, just let it charge all the way to 100%
Once it is completely charged you should be able to flash via Odin.
But the internal storage is kind of worrisome to me, when you tried to flash you did not by accident have the re-partition checked? I hope.
Anyway wait till its completely charged and try flashing a Stock Rom again.

The thing is that battery popping up doesn't appear... There's just a message telling me that the flashing went wrong...
Anyway, I´m gonna rey letting it charge some houts and then try to flash again...
Thanks

Try holding down the power button with the charger cable detached and see if that message disappears, it looks to me that the tablet is still on, if it does disappear plug your charge cable in and see what happens.

I had the same problem. In my case, i realize that it had happend a few days after I opened the tablet (n5110). After the blinking problem, I opened again and disconneted the battery with the power cable on. Waited for a few seconds and confirm that the blinking is same side effect of the battery disconnected or with bad connection. After reconnect the battery, everything ok and charging normally again. Good luck for you all!
I have My Samsung GTN 5100 with me.Last day I plug it for charging and I went out. When i back it was 100% charged and i just leave it as it is. Suddently I started continually looping 'Samsung GTN 5100 Note 8.0'
Then I tried to hard reset by using Power Vol down and home. It doesnt Work, then try to open down load mode. It doesnt wrok. I hv tried wit Odin and Kies. the device is not recognize bt the PC. is there any software or method for gard brick

i have identical problem. i disconnected also battery, but changes nothing. Any ideas?
I have similar problem and solved
I have similar problem, I left the phone charged, and suddenly the phone switched off and on again, the screen start blinking rapidly and stuck in boot screen. If I turned off and charge it, no battery signal pop, only empty battery with white circle (I thought it was stuck when the phone tried to show battery charging animation).
This is what have done:
1. Open the back case of the phone and checked the battery, and it was OK, but the phone still has same behavior after I put the battery back.
2. Tried to flash using ODIN and no luck, because the phone was not detected.
3. I suspect there was a connection problem between ODIN and the phone, so I checked the cable and PC USB driver, still no luck.
4. I am lucky have spare USB charger connector part (Female USB connector attached in the bottom of the phone with small PCB and ribbon cable). I replaced the part.
5. Try re-run ODIN and the phone was detected, I flashed it and my phone back to normal
I am not sure what cause the blinking screen, maybe there was some glitch in the software, but it is fixed after flashing the ROM using ODIN.
For undetected phone, I suggest you check the computer USB driver, USB cable and the connector. And for preemptive action, I suggest you force charging the phone, even no charging animation appear to make sure the phone is flashed with sufficient power.
Hope this helps you to solve the problem.
- Odin 3.10
- Win 10
- Android 4.2.2 original firmware
Tried removing battery and reconnecting, same as before..
What about getting a new battery?
