Development of CyanogenMod 9 for Galaxy Y (Android 4.0.3)

Are there any Devs who are developing CyanogenMod 9 becaus I am looking xda threads from a November but till now i have not found any one found developing CyanogenMod 9 for Galaxy Y.
We need ICS and CyanogenMod 9 together for galaxy Y.
Galaxy Y has better specs than Galaxy Mini or Pop.
The same time to port unofficial CyanogenMid in Galaxy Mini or Pop is just going to pass. I have read that the kernels are developed for Galaxy Y just the porting time is left. Please if there is any Dev port ICS and CyanogenMod to Galaxy Y

Tough luck. Looks like everyone's busy for the custom kernel. Ports will be of later priority. Even the CM7 hasn't been ported yet.

dude custom kernel will help in the development of cm9 or 7 whatever thats why the devs are focusing on custom kernel

Galaxy Y is stable till 900 MHz but it becomes unstable after it.

Unofficial cyanogenmod 7.2 RC1 has bee ported from galaxy ace to galaxy y.................................merrock has posted it in android developement section of galaxy y.................it has many bugs .....it will be fixed in RC2 release...

most important even the gsm network is not working but still this is a huge step in the developement of our beloved sgy cheerss....

yeah,
i would say, just make a group and do work on currunt cyanogen 7 to make it stable,
by this way, we can get 9 also.
its better if someone make saperate thrd for developing it, and i am ready to be a volunteer for feedback.

1)camera (not completely)
2)gsm signal
3)audio
4)1% battry bug fixed
5)packet data works

its not only the processor and ram has to decide a phones capability,but also th emanufacturer and performance ofthe gpu , as you can see not all games are optimised for y's gpu and the manufacturer doesnt sees to be havin the idea of releasing drivers for ics while drivers for adreno 200gpu for ics are released a month back. but there are some very good roms for galaxy , in my opinion creed v2.5 seemsto be the best ,you can get that from here

Let the bugs of cm7 be fixed first.. Then hope for cm9

Misleading title,

Every one is asking for CM... what the main features it has, which aren't in GB and other available custom roms... Sorry for noob ques but didn't find ans any where so asked here....

I'd like to have this as well. I think it would suit the gorgeous display pretty well.
Let there be a fully working AOSP first and then I'm sure someone will look into this.

someone always said to me..rather than wait from others to do things for you it is always best to try yourself. so that is what i will be doing. i really want to try an AOKP rom again and the only way i will get to do that is by porting one over myself or build it from scratch..will take a few days or a couple of weeks but with bit of knowledge i have and few friends i know that can help me why not i say... thanks for bringing this to my attention. best get working then

That's an awesome name for a rom, but I would rather see the AOKP team develop a rom for the HOX.

Thanks, we had some differences in the arhd thread, i apologise for that, i tried to build aokp from the current cm9 build using the tutorial of building aokp from cm9, but it didnt boot. Maybe you will succeed

This is really lovely. How I wish I could use the Sense Mail, Messaging, Camera, and Contacts on AOSP/AOKP. Those apps are the only reason I stick to Sense.

MIUI still uses Sense framework someone on the MIUI forums. So maybe something similar can be done i guess...Like i said my knowledge is basic but like kryptoner said there are tutorials online and few as well on the cyanogen wiki pages. i will try my best.

Still hankering for a taste of paranoid android, it looks perfectly suited to our screens

Well for introduction for member including that whom curious about this rom
It's like my other build for #SnapSeries devices
It's my kind of work and with specially for stability and performance
i build for some device that i don't own but personally tester and me are the one involved
I know there's other MIUI Rom.If you feel my rom is less into what you are looking for then go for other's

#This rom is stripped of till the max to save speed and throw away problem(You can download the thing removed over optional package)
#Why? SnapSeries because i have range of device running MIUI that i build therefore you can get fixes/help from list device running on my build as well helping other's

I have my own platform of MIUI and there's no much i can assist as i am build on my work way.
Different Rom provide different taste of work and make more choice

i am bringing miui which still under consideration after user has start pm to build for them
i don't want to waste time to build for device low user count as it's more useful to focus device with has user that really wants it

i would be glad to use it.. can u explain the lil features of it? i mean what features are unique. or wht things have you changed.. n how cuztomizable is it?

After reading the updated OP, I guess I want this ROM. MIUI runs a little sluggish and as you are saying that it'll be optimized for our device. I am curious to give it a go.

What do you guys really want?

So, I know there isn't really too much development going on in these forums, and I think that is because nobody really knows what people want on this phone. Other than stock/CM based Jelly Bean, what would you guys really want? I'm just starting out as a dev, but I will try to learn to do whatever it is you guys need. If I don't know how, I will learn. I'm here to serve the community, as are the other devs that are here. Please, just let us know.

Well---I've talked to JMZ & as soon as I get the info from him I plan to start working on CM 10.1---I came from using a Doubleshot with CM 10.1 on it & really miss it...so I've got all the current build sources on my system, updated my github account & am almost ready to go.....I'm a alpha tester for Debian Linux & have the system to build with.

One V is capable of running KK(4.4) smoother than JB. Is anyone working on KK GSM or should i compile CM11 for One V? I don't see many people on GSM so i do not want to waste my resources and time if no one is interested. My schedule is tight atm but i sure can release the builds within the end of December. Anyone interested? :fingers-crossed:

Nice to see such requests.
As I am a GSM user I would really apreciate the development of a KK-Rom for the PRIMOU.
As far as I can see there is already a tree from a different developer:
