[Q] Issue in using headphone during a phone call - HTC One X

HELLO,
I have an issue where during a phone call i hear brief moments of silence whilst the receiver hears beeping, this happens around every 15 seconds and the duration of silence lasts around 2 seconds, it takes a good 5 seconds for the call to hang up.
I've checked the head phone Jack it seems clean and can play back audio flawlessly.
My headset also works flawlessly with my Blackberry Bold 9900

For me sometimes when the headset is connected and I answer a call, there's no sound for a good 10-15 seconds and I keep saying "hello" like a retard and then I can hear the caller.
There is some sort of problem with headset compatibility for sure. Yesterday I was using this voice assistant called Skyvi with the headset attached, and after removing the headset my phone's mic wouldn't work at all! I had to restart to get my phone's mic working.
What I'm saying is there's a problem with headset detection or the software that makes the sound switch from the handset to the headset imo.
Further testing proves that this only happens when dialling out, not when the call Is incoming

Damn strange! It has happened on incoming calls for me for sure.
There was this another "retarded" thing the handsfree did when I first got the phone, on pressing the button(twice) to change the music track playing, it called the last contacted person. I kid you not, I happened to call two people like that. But never happened after that day.
I have the exact same problem with my HOX, I'm thinking it's a hardware issue, because I have tried different kernels (Franco, faux & stock) and different versions of Revolution ROM by Mike... My phones serial number begins with HT23RW...
This is when I use the handset aka. The phone itself without bluetooth or headphones connected...

Is it my phone or car?

Long story short: When I have my phone paired to my cars bt,it takes about 5 seconds for the phones audio(the caller) to b heard from the car. So pretty much, I pick up the call pressing my cars button on the wheel , I can then hear the caller on my phone and I tell the caller to wait a few seconds bc I can't hear them (car speakers are still ringing as if tough I never answered)
I am starting to believe it's a problem with the phone because I tried CM and the stock rom, and still having this very annoying issue.

Issue with speakers after water spill

Hey guys,
my clumsy self has gotten some water on to the phone and as it seems in the speaker grill. Right now its in a tupperware with some rice to get out the rest of the liquids but it doesnt produce any sound.
my settings is that as soon as i plug in the audio jack it opens spotify. now it behaves likes this.:
In spotify: i press play, no sound and after 1 to 2 secs the music stops ( the stop buttom becomes the play button again).
in youtube: no sound, switches to spotify after 1 to 3 secs.
alarm: beeps 3 times, stops and switches to spotify
is the speaker gone and if so, do you guys think that the stereo sound mod will help since the top speaker will ateast provide some sounds watching youtube and will wake me up in the mornings.

Speakerphone turns off mid call ....

I cant figure out why this is happening but when i am in the call on speakerphone the phone will sometimes just turn off speaker and revert to the phone earpiece but the software still thinks its in speaker mode thus the only way to go back to speaker is to change the audio to handset first then reenable speaker.. this can sometimes happen several times withing a single call. I also have an android wear watch that is paired via bluetooth which i though may be the culprit but i have noticed it even when my watch is dead... anyone else?
Having same issue when connected to Bluetooth in my car. It will change output and I have to manually put it on phone headset then back. Sometimes it will just drop a call all together. Usually 6 minutes approx into the call. I am on Verizon 7.1.1. NMF260. Anyone else still having these issues on most recent update as I am.
Yeah I noticed it to. Thought it was my Android wear watch so I turned off gestures thinking the wrist movements were switching the output. I haven't had a chance to retest.

I am going to resurrect this thread because I'm having the same issue and it's one of the most infuriating things ever. To have my private conversation suddenly switch to speakerphone, or to be in the car and have it switch from car speakers to speakerphone is frustrating beyond words!
I have the issue as well. Sometimes it happens when another calls comes in or when a notification comes in, but also happens randomly. Pixel 2, Android 9.

Odd bug, any mention of it on the bug tracker?

Consistent microphone cut-off part way through phone calls

I have a weird and annoying issue with my 10 (stock 7.0, 2.51.531.32):
During every phone call, after ~1 minute, my microphone seems to cut out for perhaps 10 seconds (as reported by the person at the other end). After that, it works normally again. I just installed "automatic call recorder" so I can start to pin down these numbers precisely.
The microphone(s) pass the HTC hardware tests, and when I use "Voice Recorder" in voice notes mode, it will record for many minutes without any issues. In addition, I don't think this ever happens when I use a Bluetooth headset for calls.
Any suggestions?
