So, i tried to put Nightly Rom on my p350, and i already had a custom rom here, but the first one i flashed via recovery, and this new one i tried to flash via rom manager, but i guess maybe because the cable was connected it turned off and when it turned on there was the "fastboot mode started" message on screen, and i don't know how to procced, since i can't enter recovery mode, anyone can give me a clue?
Oh, after a little i was able to do it, erased recovery and flashed another one via fastboot, it seems the problem was with a conflict with rom manager's recovery and the recovery that was here

I'm in an interesting predicament...
I tried flashing this rom but some how flashed boot.img incorrectly
Now my phone wont go past the boot image but I am able to get to recovery. I tried factory resetting / cache wipe / restore but it doesn't work. My best guess is to get to the bootloader and re-flash a boot.img to a stable rom. Thats where my problem lies.
How do I get to the bootloader? I can't power of the device because every time it restarts into recovery and I've tried holding vol down + power during these restarts but that doesn't work either.
Any suggestions?

Hi friend,
I came across the exact problem of yours and spend hours to search thru the internet for answers. This case is rare but not so difficult to solve.
I suggest you read this thread in One X, it is the same as One V.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1609190
I figured out the problem in the wrong boot.img. You can choose the boot.img of the ROM you installed, extract it and do as follow:
Boot into bootloader
- fastboot flash boot boot.img
- fastboot reboot-bootloader
- fastboot erase cache
To get into bootloader, you SHOULDN'T CONNECT the USB Cable into the computer, just unplug, power off (by long press the power button, at least 10 seconds, sure, you can). Then power-on + volume down, I am sure you can get into bootloader. Then, you fastboot to carry out all the process.
Reboot again into the Recovery. Clear/Wipe all cache, data, then restore or install new ROM from zip files, reboot.
DONE.
Wish you good luck, friend.

Wua, haha, that's great. One more of my question, is the boot.img file is just "fitted" for its own ROM? I mean, for example if I extract the boot.img from MIUI.us ROMs, can I flash it for SuPrimo Rom ?
I can't give a concrete answer for that. But generally a CM based ROM and Sense based ROM use a different type of boot.img so it is best to use the one that comes with the ROM.

Hi, I am quite new here and have spent ages searching the forums.
I have a HTC one s and was in the process of installing cyanogenmod 10 via CWM, fairly straightforward but it appears as though the boot.img file just didn't transfer at all. So now i am stuck in CWM recovery, cyanognemod if i try and load but it is endless or bootloader. Worse is when i connect my phone to my laptop it is not recognised (it may be due to drivers, i cant find the driver for whatever state my phone is in). abd devices yields nothing. I have a ghost image of my phones drive in windows, unopenable. When in CWM i can't find my sd card, it gives E: can't mount /sdcard/.
I am really stuck.
I would happily take a fix or back to stock. ANYTHING.
Thanks in advance

no idea what's going on. i flashed via Odin to get root, and that worked. but i can't get into recovery via power/vol+ and home. also tried vol+ and power but no joy. download works fine.
i installed rom manager to have a peek and that says i "need to have clockworkmod recovery" before i can do anything. the weird thing is in spite of all this, rom manager *can* reboot me into recovery. i just used it to backup my rom just in case.
for now, it seems the only way i can get into CWM is via rom manager? this can't be right since my htc desire and galaxy s2 could do it from a cold boot. had to in case we screwed something up and couldn't boot an OS.
the root guide i used was via here. not2root.com

Here is CWM 6.0.1.5 mate https://hotfile.com/dl/176065007/332cffb/cwm6-recovery-n7100-121014.tar.html, flash with Odin/Mobile Odin. Also read this for root http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1901196.

flashed and got into recovery but not at 1st. i always held down the 3 buttons when trying to enter recovery and this time i noticed a flash of "the recovery screen" before it rebooted and went into android.
apparently you just press the buttons and let go with the note 2? not sure if i just realised it now or if this fixed it but either way i got in so tomorrow can flash a new rom.
cheers
Hello, I honestly hope someone can help me !!
My phone won't boot up at all. I keep getting the Samsung logo with the words "recovery booting...." in the top left corner but it never boots into recovery mode.. I'm able to go into the other mode(forgot the name of it) but anything I flash in Odin fails.. Does any have any ideas on how I can get my phone back up and running.? I really need your help
What cause this..?
I wanted to flash a rom so I booted into recovery but didn't know how to backup my phone using Android System Recovery 3e. There was no option for backup. I then proceeded to flash cwm_Superuser_v3.0.7. When I tried to reboot after the "pass" flash, it never went into recovery and now everytime I take the battery out and try to turn it on, it still wants to try to reboot into recovery... ( HELP ME PLEASE..!!!
http://goo.im/devs/billard412/d2spr/Prerooted_Odin_tar_files/(NO_WIPE)SPR_L710VPBLJ7_ROOTED_JB.7z stock with root just flash in odin. From there since you'll have root access already just download goo manager and use it to flash a twrp recovery if u need it.
I'll try that right now and let you know what happens. Thanks
What's the best thing to do if Odin keeps failing.?
Check your drivers. Switch USB ports. Swap the USB cable. Reboot pc

The odin flash is a one click fix all type of deal. You do have the phone in download mode while you're attempting this right?
ODIN!!!! I love it.

woops...I hate that feeling...sorry
From what I've read you don't have CWM .. You have the stock recovery..You can't flash ROMS in stock recovery.. Does your phone boot up at all?
Personally TWRP is a better custom recovery anyway in my opinion.. CWM is so outdated..

It sounds to me like you didn't have debugging enabled on the phone,or didn't flash the cwm recovery tar in odin correctly, and jumped a step. I would completely start over, making sure you have the phone drivers installed correctly, then install the custom recovery.
Yeah, I tried everything but it failed everytime.. I fixed my phone tho, I used another laptop.
For some reason my laptop don't like Odin. I uninstalled the Samsung drivers, got rid of Odin, reinstalled everything, tried again but it still failed.. I don't know why my laptop is doing that but I got it now.
Thanks everyone for your help.!
Ok, so I am not a noob..But I hadn't flashed anything since owning my orginal Evo..I followed all the steps for chain fire's root and have root access. I installed TWRP and haven't played with any gs3 roms yet so I went into twrp's list of compatible roms. I downloaded carbon and gapps. I tried to flash. What happens now is the same thing as this poster above me. I can boot into download mode at which point I attempted odin..after that process I booted up and still no recovery. I did manage to flash Carbon, just very poorly apparently, because all that happens when I boot up is that is says startup wizard has failed and gapps has failed..Should I try to use odin with the link provided above as well?
Hi,
This may be a stupid question but I'm new to Samsung phones so I don't know all the details (I've only been using HTC so far).
So I've followed all the steps and got root fine. However, I tried to reboot into recovery afterwards and it's like Clockworkmod has vanished.... It just gets into what looks to me like the stock recovery. Am I doing something wrong or does the phone automatically restore its stock recovery???
Also, can someone explain to me if it is possible to manually flash a recovery from the img file using fastboot like you do on HTC phones?
Oh, and another thing. What's this Odin thing? I never used anything like that with HTC...
Thanks

May I ask what variant you are using? GT-i9195?
Then please boot your phone into download mode, this can be done by first switching of your phone completely then holding the power button, home button and volume down button until the download screen appears where you press continue. Once you have done that connect your phone using the usb cable and make sure all drivers have been installed! Once the drivers are installed start up Odin uncheck the f.rest time box and click the AP section and then select the recovery file provided by Sir Arco in the root thread.
If you need more help please ask, If it worked then still reply
Odin is the software used to flash files to Samsung phones.
You will need to catch the first recovery boot after flashing the recovery image, or else the stock recovery will be reflashed once the phone boots up. Just reflash the recovery via Odin and make sure to boot into recovery right after the phone reboots after the flash.

Thanks for the response. Yeah, I kind of realized that's what's happening. I've managed to boot into the custom recovery right after the flash and did what I had to do in there, but then after I reboot the phone again, the custom recovery is gone. Is there a way to stop stock recovery being reflashed automatically?
Also, if I want to install a custom kernel, how can I backup the current one so that I can restore it at a later date if I need to? I know how to do this on HTC phones but it all seems to be a bit different on Samsung and I don't want to mess up anything.
How did you reboot? If you select the reboot option in the CWM recovery,it should follow with a question on whether you want to continue rebooting with reverting to stock recovery or not.

Umm... yeah, I think it did ask but I just accidentally pressed no before reading what it said... So I guess I'll just have to flash the recovery again and then answer yes to that question.
Thanks
Yes that would be the correct way to do it.
Hope all goes well!
I have flashed many phones before my G4 and this is the first time I'm having to ask for help.
The firmware installed was AICP CM13, then the screen went green with a DemiGod message. I held the vol down button to reboot and it came back up. After a few restarts and green screens i figured I needed to reflash the firmware. I booted into Recovery and while wiping the device to flash a new firmware, TWRP crashed. After leaving it for half hour or so, I took the battery out to enter into TWRP so I can flash the new firmware. TWRP is no there to be seen. I hold down the vol down and power button, releasing power for second or two and choose to go into recovery. Every time the phone just gets stuck on the LG screen displaying "Bootloader state :Bootlader unlocked!".
In short, I have no firmware, the device has been wiped and TWRP doesn't seem to be working.
I have tried to flash a KDZ file (H81520A_00.kdz) using the flash guide here. This comes back as unsuccessful saying "connection to server failed". As shown below.
View attachment 3605673
The method to flash an .img file using cmd on the pc includes moving the 4gb .img file to the parent folder of the phone storage. I can't get to move any files whatsoever to my device so figured this method would not work.
Seems if I can somehow flash TWRP, then I should be able to install a new firmware.
Any help much appreciated.
Hi, Can you get an ADB connection to your phone, or get your phone into bootloader somehow. From there you could try 'fastboot boot recovery.img'?
If so, then from within TWRP you can flash twrp recovery so the recovery is then sorted. Then you could flash click here (the full version). This will then allow LG UP to find a connection. From there if you really wanted to can flash any KDZ as a proper reset. Hope it works buddy!!

I can get into recovery but I am unsure as to how I could try 'fastboot boot recovery.img'. Would that be the same as flashing an img when the root method first came out?

Just to make sure you know. TWRP is your recovery. Your last message said you did not have TWRP?
When I first rooted my phone (and subsequently when I install a .kdz), I have to go into the bootloader and install TWRP. I personally do this by using the above command "fastboot boot recovery.img" with the recovery.img being placed on my computer in the same location as my adb installation. This command only boots up TWRP but does not flash it. I then flash twrp by having a copy of it on my external sd card. Within twrp you can select to flash zip, or there is an option to flash an image. I use this to flash twrp (from twrp... its a little inception like but it works). Once you have twrp up and running, you can install a rom. If you want to do flash a .kdz, I have found you need to be on a stock based rom in the first place hence why i referenced the v20a full system zip.
Hope that made sense.
Regards,
Ravi
It is late here and with me being tired I said recovery instead of download. I can boot into download mode but when I try to boot into recovery then it just goes straight to the LG splash screen and it will either remain in that screen or the green Demigod screen would come up.
I'm off to sleep and away from my laptop as I have to be up in 5 hours. Luckily I still have my Note 4 so at least I'm not without a phone in the morning. I will try the steps what you have suggested just as soon as I get back from work.
Many thanks

I have finally got chance to sit down and have a go at performing the procedure listed above. I downloaded the adb and fastboot installation as outline here. It is the minimum to what this thread says I will need for my device. I moved the recovery.img to the installation location which were in Windows/programs files (x86)/Minimal adb and fastboot. I launched the program and typed in 'fastboot boot recovery.img'. I tried this in download mode, charging mode (phone off) and while on the LG flash screen where TWRP didnt load but in all cases I have had no response at all.
If someone can help the much appreciated.

I had another demigod type screen but this was grey and not green with less detail. However it did say it were a kernel error.
Is the handset still under warrenty with the bootloader unlocked. I have a feeling its not
