[Q] Can't boot into recovery, fastboot, or really anything. - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hello all,
My Nexus was simply sitting on my table doing nothing when it rebooted, then boot looped. After ten minutes of this I pulled the battery and attempted to go into recovery, but when I held down the button the phone vibrated but there was nothing simply a blank screen. Waited for about ten and decided to once again pull the battery. Powered on normally and the phone stays at the google screen. I've been running cm9 stable for about three weeks with not a single problem. BTW I've googled the hell out of this problem but everything came back to getting the phone into back to recovery or the fastboot screen which I cannot. Anyone tell me if this can be fixed, or does it need to have an "accident".
Thanks

Are you sure, you can't boot into fastboot (and then recovery)?
Try holding vol down + power, and if that is unsuccessful then try volume down + volume up + power

Can you see the phone in command prompt window?

[Q] sync-problem on 3.4.2-117 UK Froyo

I upgraded from 2.51.1 to 3.4.2-117, and the phone lags, seems to me that it is because of the google sync. Someone posted the very same problem and said that factory reset solved his problem.
My problem is that the phone does not do factory reset, in Privacy I press the erase button and nothing happens.
I tried to boot into recovery, but I can't get into it. The droid comes up but upon touching the lower right corner nothing happens.
When i try to boot with vol up and down same time, the phone boots into safe mode.
How shall I get into recovery so I could do a wipe? The phone is basically unuseable now because of the lags and freezes
Hey mate! Don't give up. When you see the droid in the center of the lcd just push vol+ and vol- at once. You'll get into recovery mode. )))
thx dude, i figured it out "accidentaly"
Everyone was writing on the net that the recovery boot is up and down the same time instead of the old method of power & volume -.
So, when I got to the droid, started to push every possible button in every possible variation and I got in.
since then I learned that the vol up and down is after power & vol -, not instead.

[Q] HELP! Rooted Mytouch Slide will not boot!

Okay, so for the past couple of days I have been having problems and I was wondering if anyone can help. I rooted my phone with Cyanoginger and it had been working fine for the last few months. I tried to turn my phone on yesterday and it simply vibrated and no screen came on. I decided to charge it and try again today. I turned it on and the screen got stuck on the mytouch logo. For the next times i tried to reboot it, this happened again, before it stopped showing anything on the screen all together. I tried to access the boot menu by pressing volume down then power with no result. Not even a vibrate from the phone. I was wondering if there is anything I can do to fix the phone, or if I should just give up on it.
Thanks a lot, Kevin.
Try pressing back+power to reach the bootloader, then from there get into recovery menu and load clockwork mod recovery.
Then flash cyanoginger again without wiping and then just wipe cache and dalvick-cache
Should boot up after 5-15 min
But did you flash a radio or spl/hboot or try s-off but it failed?
back+power didn't work. and for the last thing you said i have no clue what you are trying to say, so if you could please explain it a little better I might understand. thanks, Kevin.
lol that's because its not back+power
LMAO
Do this..
Turn your phone on by pressing the following:
Power+Volume DOWN+Camera button.
You will enter a screen, now select recovery by using the VOLUME and POWER keys and enjoy.

[Q] Bricked, enters recovery mode instead of download

Alright so I have had this phone for well over a year and it has been bricked since I got a hold of it. A friend gave it to me to fix and never asked for it back and since I have had my iPhone I have missed having an android to play with :crying:
It is stuck in a bootloop thing (It shows samsung and when the andorid flies up it freezes and resets) I have been trying to reflash it with odin for ages but gave up and finally decided to seek help after days of googling and searching
If I boot holding VOL + and VOL - , all it does it boot into recovery mode (and I have wiped everything and reflashed the rom on the internal sd card successfully) but it still does the same thing. I have also tried booting in other ways (Such as HOME and VOL +, and HOME and VOL - , but it just goes to the boot loop. I need some ideas because this iPhone is getting broing
Does the phone use the stock recovery? And if you are needing to hold the home button to enter anything, I think you got the wrong forum as the SGH-T989 only requires the VOL Down key to be held to boot into recovery. Are you sure your device is not the I9100?

HTC M8 stuck problem.

I rooted my phone like a month ago and installed TWRP. After ARHD i wanted to try MIUI, but when i flashed it i lose my root. I m downloaded ElementalX 4.4 gpe kernerl and i go to flash it, instalation go normaly, but when i finished twrp lagged for first time 2,3 secunds when i tap reboot. After that, phone booted normaly, white display with htc and developer text, like always, but after that come black display. It stucked here and i cant do anything. No matter how long i hold power button or anything else it cant do anything. It dont shows orange light on charger. 2 hours i cant do anything, but phone is running something, it is hot right now, cca 41 c, but its still stucked. Please help.
a
finded out now, when am hold power buton + vol up, phone just restart, and stuck like last time. It cant boot to recovery or bootloader
Hold power + volume UP, as soon as the screen goes BLACK switch to volume DOWN. Keep the POWER button pressed at all times.
That will put the phone in the bootloader, go from there to the recovery and reflash a rom with a FULL wipe otherwise it will never work.

Help with brick?

Hi I was running the Cyanogen Mod Nightly for my phone, and hadn't updated it for about a week. When I went in to my settings to update it, I downloaded the latest one and when it was done it prompted me to start it, so I did. It got to about 2%, and after that it's been looping in boot. The screen flashes on and off instantly every 5 seconds. Power + Volume Up works, it shows the HTC screen and says it's going into recovery, but then it just loops in boot again.
Is there any fix/hope for my phone?
Press power + vol up, and as soon as the screen goes black, press and hold power + vol down. You will boot into the bootloader. from here you can flash an RUU to go back to stock

So I tried doing this, but nothing happened.
I did however, fix my problem, by holding down Power + Volume Up until it showed the initial "Booting into recovery" screen (which was failing), but kept holding Power + Volume Up until the Battery Charging screen showed up (I had it plugged into my PC). Once I let go, it rebooted the phone normally, and started up Cyanogenmod. Now the phone works, so I am going to back up my data, and switch to a non-nightlies version (or just never update).
Thank you!
Next time if you are in a bootloop, just holding vol down during the next restart cycle will get you to bootloader.
If the buttom combo (Power+vol up to force a restart, then just hold vol down to go to bootloader) doesn't work, its virtually always due to getting the timing wrong (either not pressing vol down soon enough, or letting go too early). And the fact it was looping makes the timing tricky. But holding vol down during a bootloop (restart) will always get you to bootloader.

I already tried that, it would automatically go back into a bootloop. And I tried your second option, which also didnt work. The only way I personally was able to fix it was having it plugged in, holding Volume Up + Power through the bootloader screen (which would crash) until the battery icon with the red disclaimer text showed up. Then it would reboot without going to bootloader (Pretty sure the Cyanogenmod tried to get it to this and failed).
Still cant get it to update without crashing so im just going to flash a new rom.
