Sprint LTE coverage

This is apparently the coverage for sprint LTE when they finish it. Pretty interesting, hopefully its soon.
My area is covered but won't be active for almost 2 yrs plenty of time foe more awesome phones
Sent from my Unnamed 2.0.1 EL29 powered Galaxy S2 brought to you by Sprint
Yeah I think that's the main problem, having to wait so long for LTE.

What are the lines supposed to represent?
I think they are supposed to represent different markets or something. Definitely not states
I won't be moving to Montana any time soon.

Hopefully they add lte coverage to the Seattle area soon. I am happy with my epic 4g touch for now but am looking forward to future sprint phones and better coverage.

Is there a way to know when a given market is on schedule to have LTE?

I love this map.
What's even more encouraging is that you have to keep in mind, this is only LTE coverage at the end of Network Vision. The end of Network Vision does not signal the end of LTE expansion; remember that LTE was added into NV, and is a broader network overhaul than just adding LTE. Sprint will continue to expand afterwards, possibly including repurposing the WiMax spectrum.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
I'm guessing the lines represent major highways seeing that sprint tends to follow them as far as towers go
Sent from my SPH-D710 using XDA
Hell yea big ups to 4G & LTE being strong on the highways in Ohio lol
Sent from my SPH-D710 using XDA
The lines are market areas.
I think those lines represent service regions.
Lol to the whole thread everyone guessing about the lines.

Charlotte here. Who care about 3g with in 15 days HELLO LTE!!!!
Have any of you guys gotten the JB ota update?
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda premium
Im running LIG here in RockyMount NC works well for me so far..
1)What modem/baseband/radio are you currently using?
2)What rom are you currently using?
3)How are your data speeds while on mobile data with said modem/baseband/radio?
4)Have you flashed any scripts/tweaks or use any apps to assist with your mobile data speeds?
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda premium
After using the LJ7 Modem for the last couple days I've noticed slower speeds and I do not get signal at work.
I had none of these issues when using the LJ1 modem.
Flashed it back and right away better signal at work. I'm in downtown Columbia
I'm also using PRL 24006 and am running LJ7

Hi guys. I'm in Winston Salem and have a Galaxy Note 2. Friend of mine has the GalaxyS3. I was wandering has Sprint sent you guys the ota yet? He keeps checking but it says no update available. Let me know when you LTE down there. I'll drive down to check it out one week end.

LTE support in new update?

Can anyone with the new update please confirm if the new baseband supports LTE or not? Thanks!

The phone is already LTE capable, however T-Mobile needs to flip the switch 1st then we will get an update.
Not yet tmobile not ready 4 lte sometime in 2014
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda premium
Or more likely 2013 depending in your area.
Hastily spouted for your befuddlement
Hopefully someone can find out how to activate LTE so that we won't have to wait til 2014 when the phone is outdated.

2014? Really dude....phone is already LTE capable and tmo is rolling out their 4G this coming year. Chill out.
Enabling the phone won't do crap until Tmo heats up their LTE mojo on the network. Patience grasshopper.

Not everyone who has the T889 is on Tmobile like you. The phone may have an LTE chip, but it's not usable... so it's not really "LTE capable".

Although this is quite frustrating let's try to take this in our favor. There should be a CDMA version. Would that help in fixing our radio issues in the job ports for our phones?

We have known this was coming. It sucks now that its here, but there definitely are CDMA carriers, although GSM is the standard, in Europe that might have what we need to get JB on our device.

There are CDMA carriers in Sweden, Russia, Belarus, Poland and many others. While GSM is definitely the standard and overwhelming favorite of the majority of nations, and exclusive in many as well, I personally have used a CDMA phone in Europe.

That is possible, but I'm fairly certain that Sweden is.
I did read once that certain frequencies are reserved by law for GSM which in some countries would probably make it illegal.
ALSO... Once I thought about it, I realized it has been like four years since I used said CDMA phone. Maybe it has since gone the way of cigarette commercials and I'm just behind the times.

To the OP.
Sprint has had JB for over a month. Not sure where you have been. Not a Korean JB port or CM. They have actually had stock JB for the LS970.
They even released an update to fix a bug in it already.

Yes this. T989 will never run lte no matter what software is on the phone. We don't have the hardware for it. And the lte software package is there in general, for phones that have it.
And we don't have it.
