[Q] Video chat audio problem - HTC One X

Hello all,
When I use a video chat app (Tango, Oovoo, GoogleTalk) the person I am talking to can barely hear me, as if it is using the normal phone microphone.
When I make a call, I can put on loudspeaker, and it is fine, I can talk to the person from the other side of the room, but with video chat apps it doesn't seem to kick in!
Perhaps there is a setting somewhere I am missing?
I am running ARHD 9.4.0
Any advice greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Luke

Nobody experienced this?
Or could suggest something it might be that is causing it?
Thanks

Microphone not working anymore

Hello everyone,
the microphone of my Note II does not really work anymore.
When on an active phone call, the other phone does not hear anything, only a minimal staitc which is pretty normal.
Also voice recording does not record anything.
The only working audio I get is when using the camcorder to shoot a video.
Here it seems also a lot quiter than it was before.
Restarting the phone does not help at all.
Did anyone else have that problem before?
My last idea would be to do a hard reset and hope for the best...
Best regards.

how about using ung headset? can the other line hear you? try using voice recorder and see if you can record your voice. if so, then it's a hardware issue. time to visit your sammy service center.
what happened before you lost it?
Hi,
Hope you are not keeping your little finger over the mic, covering it up.
Cheers!!!

Phone call recording via StealthGenie app - Impossible once call connects??

Hello!
I stupidly threw down for 12 month subscription of StealthGenie to monitor my teenager that struggles with drugs.
I thought I would be able to record the phone calls as per StealthGenie's advertising. Turns out, on the Samsung Galaxy S III , once a call connects the recording goes completely wonky. You can almost hear the back and forth of a phone conversation, but it is like the gain is set way too high ,so everything is far too distorted and staticy to make out.
What's weird is that it only happens when a call CONNECTS. If the phone is just ringing (not being answered), or I activate the "record surroundings" feature, the recording is fine and I can hear everything.
I suspect it may have something to do with the noise reduction feature. I will shut this off and try again but, does anyone know why this might be happening and anything else I could try to resolve it??
Thanks in advance for any help or ideas!!!
...
Don't buy stealthGenie btw. They will not refund you if this feature doesnt work ......... although no where on the website will they tell you it doesnt work for Samsung Galaxy S III. Ialso cant find anyone else that says it doesnt work, or do i HAve any idea how I can fix it.
(I also tested the 3gp AMR-NB audio file for any problems and it does not have any. Its a problem with the software OR the phone itself)

Try these two... a little static too, but atleast you get the job done. But I hope you know its illegal to record calls without notifying the other party, let alone recording your son's calls secretly.
Just feed your teenager some tough love, take the phone away from them, make em get a job and threaten them with rehab
hmmm......
Same issue
I am experiencing the same issue. Did disabling noise cancellation resolve in any way? I think this might be hardware related, and that once the microphone kicks in, it might simply be too close to the speaker to effectively record. On the other hand, I've heard of apps that record well on the Samsung S3.

Not in Texas . You can record calls just fine in Texas without telling anyone on the other line.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda premium
Thanks for reminding.
Thanks for your reminding. I'm seeking the phone monitoring software, and have searched online, a lot of apps come out including StealthGenie. I saw Mobile Spy is very popular online, but it is a little expensive and can't try before purchase. Another quite popular is iKeyMonitor, I downloaded its free edition, its features are limited, but it really works well so far.

Calling Issues- I can hear, CANNOT be heard during calls (unless I use speakerphone)

Hello XDA community! I'm posting here to see if anyone can help me out. Whenever I make or receive calls, I have to put the call on speaker mode or else the other line won't have sound from me. I also have to restart my phone whenever I take out my headphones or else my music will play on speaker, too. I don't know if this is a related issue or not. Please help! :crying:
