Anyone use this stuff?
I found it on Amazon for 18 Bucks. Which is less than half the price of the insanely priced ghost armor. Now they charge 40 Bucks at the mall to Ghost Armor your phone. That's just insane. . . . But, every phone I had until now has been ghost armored and held up pretty well.
I was wondering the same thing. They seem to have good reviews on the web so I ordered one for my Galaxy S3 last week. It should arrive this week so we'll see....
I dunno, either one of these or a nice Spigen case with a screen protector.
Had this and i took it off in less than a week. It gets dented up real fast and it has a sticky feeling to it. The so called "Life time warranty" makes you pay $5 shipping.
Figures, SGP case it is.
Just ordered one with a screen protector. Sure looks cool. . . . Best looking case I have seen so far.
My ArmorShield finally came in. Installation was about the same as other wet application protectors. The fit is very tight to the buttons/holes and the coverage is great. It looks great on the phone and feels less rubbery than my previous standard Zagg invisible shield. It does dent and scratch pretty easily though. For that reason, I have removed it and swapped it out with a Zagg Invisible Shield High Definition. The HD is much better and clearer with less orange peal effect and a smoother overall feel. But it is twice the price...
I have had one of these installed for almost two months and I am looking to buy remove it for a different brand. This screen protector dents easily and the dents do not go away. I can still see clearly through to the screen, but when I swipe my finger across it I can feel the dents. I have been using this with the incipio dual pro case and the bottom of the case pushed the screen protector up right below the button so that the protector doesn't stick anymore. I wouldn't buy one of these again.

How's the incipro dual pro case working out for you? Does it feel bulky or slippery?
Wanted to chime in and say I've had this installed for only a WEEK and am experiencing this issue. My screen looks and feels like a minefield. Waste of $8, going to see if Amazon will let me return.
EDIT: Does anyone have a rec. of an alternative? I actually like the rubbery feel that doesnt attract finger prints as easily, didnt mind the wet install either. Just need something more durable, thanks!

I was trying to find screen protector for HTC aria and all i found is from ebay. Zagg invisible shield dont even have it yet
On the zagging you could order the hd mini and cut for the optical
being a user of zagg on previous phones i can't imagine it playing very nice with a touchscreen.
Screen + Protector?
Try Amazon.com the screen protector product is made by Amzer for the HTC Aria.
I am a new user so I can't post the link.
I just purchased the screen protector from AT&T and the edges on all 4 corners protrude ... when I put the back case back on it pushed each corner up.
Has anyone else had problems with the AT&T protectors?

Keep in mind that the Amzer protectors don't ship until 7/13 (according to their website).
Me? I'll probably go the HD Mini protector + hole punch DIY route that others are suggesting. Too many opportunities to scuff up my screen with kids in the house.

I have the same problem with the screen protectors I got when I bought my Aria. I will apply another one tomorrow and cut the edges before I apply.
Zagg are great for touch screen
I have been using Zagg's stuff on my old iPhone and my wife's iPhone and they worked great. I actually prefer the feel with the invisible shield applied. I am bummed that they don't have one that is designed for the Aria yet. Anyone actually tried the HD mini one with success?
I got the Amzer® Rubberized Black Snap On Crystal Hard Case for HTC Aria. It doesn't ship 'till 7/13, but that's only 2 weeks, so I can live with that. I got this case because it's like a soft/hard case, and I think that will work better than an all-hard or an all-soft case. Then I got a Gadget Guard screen protector. I was originally going to get an Amzer screen protector, but I read reviews saying Amzer's screen protectors are really bad. Hopefully, their cases will be okay. This is the only company so far I've seen that are making cases for HTC Aria. I didn't know what AT&T had because I bought mine at Best Buy. Btw, from Best Buy, you don't need to do the rebates, because they already include it in their price.
as for the screen protector i got a package of 4 universal screen protectors
from there I took a hole punch to make a whole for the optical button then applied the screen protector to the phone without the case and trimmed it with a razor blade.

Zagg has one up on their site now. Just ordered mine.
Figure it's time to star contributing /something/ here, instead of just lurking.
zagg is now selling screen protector, or full body protectors
Edit... aww eff someone beat me to it... same reasoning as well.... sigh... haha
Has anyone ever used the Phantom Skinz?
I briefly tried a Zagg Invisible Shield (invisible my ass) on my previous phone and it made the screen noticeably less clear and it was very hard to clean pocket lint off of it because it was so grippy.

I used to use them on all my blackberrys. You just dip them in water and apply it to your device. To me they all look the same, I would say that phantom is not as thick as zagg but performs just as well.
Does anyone have feedback on the zagg cover for the back of the aria? I am surprised that they even make it since its got a rubberized type coating. The screen protector is a must do, but the back I cant see for the aria.
Of course they come out with the specific cover days after I buy a different one and cut to fit. Dohhhhhhhhh!
Another thumbs up for Phantomskins. Easy ordering, fast shipping, easy installation.
For the first 24hrs or so, (Dry-ish california weather) the screen touch sensation is a bit grippy, but after a day or so it becomes slick again.
I ordered front only as I see no need to protect the back, and if there is a very nice case one day I will get that anyway. My immediate problem was protecting the glass front. So I ordered just the front skin, which covers the entire phone front as shown on the phantomskin website.
After drying, viewed at an angle the surface appears wavy but viewed straight on it is perfectly invisible. Skin fits aria perfectly.

In for 2
ordered a full body protector from ghost armor yesterday. will report on how i like it when it gets in.
OK the HTC ARIA has been around for a while now and one of the most pertinent objectives is screen protection. That having been said I think it's a good idea to poll people to find what cases and screen protectors have been handeling the masses needs.
I will put my 2 cents in here, starting the poll.
My daughters ARIA started out w/ a Zagg screen protector and Amizer case. Much to my chagrin the case fell apart. She never told me and the first time she dropped it, the screen shattered (though the Zagg screen protector did keep it in place) It's being replaced now and I hope to have a different one when she gets it back. I look forward to your thoughts and purchases. Good bad or indifferent

My opinions:
The Aria is at its best without a case - it feels great in the hand and looks nice too.
I have a case I use occasionally. It is a TPU HTC-branded skin-like cover. It was less than $10 at Amazon, and fits perfectly. It only covers the back and sides, with cutouts for all the Aria external connections/controls. It makes the phone a bit more bulky, but it is about as thin as you can get. Slightly covers the edges where the glass screen meets the back
I don't use a screen protector (like Zagg). I'm tempted, but with a glass screen, I don't know how much it'll get scratched without one.
Again, just my opinions...
I too wouldn't bother with a case for this phone, I really don't see the need.
I would always use a screen protector. I know these screens are glass (even Gorilla Glass I think?) but they are not impervious to damage. You just know the first time it slips out of your hand and goes skating down the asphalt you are gonna wish you had one on because it WILL leave scratches!
As far as screen protectors go, I've used 'em all over the years and firmly believe the 'wet apply' ones like Zagg are the best. However, out of this style of screen protector I think Zagg is the worst - thick and rubbery and will give you orange-peel effect.
I personally use Bodyguardz and love them! Phantomskinz are also good and with both of these companies you get 2 sets for the price of Zagg's 1 set and a lifetime replacement warranty. Also with Bodyguardz, when you sign up and order you then get 20% off all subsequent orders.

Good luck!
The amzer case is really good if you have a screen protector. It kind of leaves indents on my Aria, so I don't know if it'll scratch the glass. Best to get a screen protector regardless.
People say the case sucks because it's hard to take off, but theres a trick to it, just pull from the bottom left edge of the front frame. I've dropped my Aria almost 12 times. Still perfect, Its been 6 months. The matte finish does get worn though.
I got the Zaggs I ordered for half price on black friday today...
Very disappointed with the E4GT full-body shield. The back cover's texture prevents a good seal, so it looks shrink-wrapped. The side panels are not cut accurately enough, so there are gaps and overlaps.
Overall, not good.
My wife's Nexus S full-body shield was perfect, however.
Never been a big fan of soft film type protectors.
I like the ones that are hard and go on dry but these type do get scratched and I count on having to replace them once or twice a year. I had a Steinheil protector for my Incredible that was cut absolutely prefect, never had a protector fit so good. I was so impressed with it, I bought one for the EVO 4G and the cut was not that good. I think it's hit or miss for lots companies.
I used invisishield for 3 years on the iphone until I realized that the screen is more scratch and smudge resistant than any of these shields are. And naked glass just feels way better to the touch too. Forget screens, save your money.

I used clear armor for the iphone 3G and loved it, but that phone didn't have a back. I am currently using a TPU case and their updated screen protector and am happy with it, all for about $15
I'm using the screen shield, which is pretty good/pretty standard for Zagg. I can't vouch for the body protector though.
I usually prefer the Bodyguardz to the Zagg, but it was available in the store so I went with the Invisible Shield. The Bodyguardz always seem to have a little more firm and smooth surface.
OP did you get the wet or the dry one?

The back cover texture of the ET4G isn't Zagg's fault. Maybe you just got a crappy install. I have one and other than the back cover (which really doesn't need to be wrapped anyways) it looks great. I have it in a CaseMate Pop case too and it seems practically indestructible.
No, I had the wet one, by the way. I installed myself and the back cover eventually got better over the texture, but the overall fit was 2mm short in width. I found the camera opening to be much too large also. Just a bad fit. The screen protector was the best part of it, but I still didn't like it - not perfectly transparent and had an iridescence to it that hurt visibility.
I am currently using a Steinheil protector on my touch with a matte black tpu case and love the original look of the glass and slim profile of the case. My sister had invisishield on hers and it made the screen looks funky (the one where you spray there little solution to put on). The steinheil protector fits better than the invisishield and feels better too. if you use an exacto knife and cut the area that covers the volume button then it makes the button 10x easier to press(but hard to accidentally press it). I recommend you give ste steinheil a try. No, I don't work for them haha.

idk about u but mine fits perfectly and it looks quite nice. i think its just the matter of how u put it on. i spent like 15-30 mins on mine. but it was worth the time
I thought the epic touch used gorilla glass? does it even need a screenie?
I dont like my zaggs either, but it was available so i figured id try.
phantom skinz ftw! Same as invisishield but without the orange peel effect, it smooth..

It does but it still glass, wheather or not they say it scratch resistant. It not, that advertising for ya.. Just like when you buy a phone that comes with 16gb. It not really 16 gb more like 15 something or 14 something..

It does come with 16, just 1-2gbs are used by the system. The OS has to live somewhere on the device.
And you don't really NEED a screen protector on this with the Gorilla glass. I've done tests of this stuff and its pretty strong, you screenie is far less scratch resident, and I personally like the feel and look of the bare glass, but you will always be better off with one. Just in case.
IMO the supper expensive ones are worth it when the screen is as good as it is now, a cheeper one is fine.
EDIT: Just the other day I dropped my epic face down, no protector, and it slid about 2 feet across asfault. I picked it up, brushed it off, and went on my way. No damage

More than just one of myCIS teachers have said the same thing in their lectures, it all about advertising. Then tell me why when I format my 8GB mini sd card it says the total space is only 7.41? There is nothing on there.
this is a bit of an ego fight between software guys and hardware guys.
Hardware guys see a megabyte as 1000 kb and a Gigabyte as 1000 mb
so 8gb is 8000mb and they really are about this big.
but SOFTWARE guys see a megabyte as 1024kb and a gigabyte as 1024mb
do the math. 8000 divided by 1024 is what?
7.8125 now add in the space "formatting" always consumes and you get your 7.4gb
this is why 16gb is 15.625gb in 1024 language and then add in overhead and your at what? 14.61gb or something like that?
Costs way too much for a screen protector.

I just put the wet zagg on my ET4G and noticed that it's not perfectly matched to the phone also. The statement about it being 2mm too narrow is pretty accurate. I ended up lining it up with the right edge of the screen so that i have a full 2mm gap at the left side. I usually hold my phone with cap. buttons on the right when I'm in landscape, so this way my finger doesn't catch a lip of the protector when i'm swiping the notification bar down.
As for the discussion about whether Gorilla Glass needs a protector, I have to say for the most part I agree, it doesn't. However, my OG epic did end up with a few scratches that were very light and not visible with the screen on. Given a perfect install, however, I am always happier with the ZAGG shields because of the 'orange peel' look being better for glare and fingerprints. If it isn't perfect, it always bothers me.
Can't speak for the back cover but I didn't really want one anyway. Also, FYI, radio shack has the invisibleshields on sale for 14.99 in store right now. A little more expensive than online but they will install it for you for free if you wait around, or exchange it if you screw up (according to the manager I talked to yesterday).
I would recommend the steinheil ultra crystal screen protector if you want to use one. I have tried five or six different ones, this one is nice and clear seems like othingi s on there.
It DOES wear over time, I got about 50 days of HARD use out of one before the scratches got too bad to bear, some big ones too.
Glass underneath, good as new. I am afraid of scratching the glass to be honest, so I will be lighter and try and get more life per cover. I would like 3 or four months at $7.50 each so...
JC
I had Zagg for the past 3-4 years and I loved it until I upgraded to this phone --- then headed to the local mall and at one of those little kiosks the guy was doing the whole phone in a 3M Alternative for $20 bucks. I'll never go back to Zagg. You can barely feel anything on it, plus the thing I hated most about Zagg is that sticky feeling --- not even close to the 3M. Definitely would recommend stopping by and finding the 3M kiosk. Wayyyy better IMO
Pretty cheap, and if you need to replace one, you're not out much
http://www.ebay.com/itm/320803239584?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_2415wt_1373
Normally one of the first screen protectors on ebay after a phones release. Im not of fan of wet installation screen protectors. You get what you pay for. Mines barely lasted a week.
I've used those Invisible Shields for a LONG time. I'm a big fan, but not for touch screen devices. They're good for the sides and the back and such, but I don't care for them for the feeling they have when you try to slide your finger over the "glass." Strange. Regardless, if you DO like them, I'd highly recommend Zagg Invisible Shield. They're over priced but they've never let me down yet.
i don't get it guys? how is that the screen protectors fall off your phone? if you install it properly without any bubbles last even 1 year.unless gets too many scratch on it and i wanna put on a new one.never happend to me.and i always buy cheap ones.like 10 pieces for 3 pounds!
cheers!
Bad. Real bad stuff. They are kinda stuffy. Soft. More like thin layer of rubber. Can barely be used for touch screen, without having touchy fingers.
I bought them for my Samsung Focus and they aren't really good for the screen. For the sides and back, this case might be ordered.

They have sold over 300 of them. I guess if they are as crappy as you say, I will say so in my feedback.
I bought one. Was actually just looking for a dry screen protector. Didn't realize it was similar to a zagg shield until I opened it up.
If you follow the directions it only takes a few minutes to apply.
I don't like the rubbery feel...but for 2 bucks it works. Just a side note...if you use the s pen you can see the markings on the screen protector. I'll be on the lookout for a cheap replacement because that is a little annoying.
^^^
Did I not tell ya That thing is good enough for everything but the screen.
I just got one partly due to prices, mainly per delivery time-fastest. I didn't know it was a wet installation and with the feedbacks i am apprehensive on using it. Any problems peeling it off the screen and did it leave unremovable streak marks for those that have used it?
No problems with the removal or leftout marks. At least give it a try.
There is no REAL issue with it, and if it's properly installed it will last a while. I don't use any additional cases and all the in-out action of my pocket usually takes off the screen protector, sides, or back within 2-3 weeks.
It has sold over 300 of them because they're so cheap. People will say "for two bucks, I'll give it a try" and even I was about to buy one until I realized that it's a zagg pretty much. Gimme a TPU / Hard shell case any day and those e-cell screen guards and I'm good.
any screen guard which dosent get scratched with s-pen?
Have one on my note, got ripped off cause I have bought it on the official website for five bucks. Personally, the rubber skin feels right, I have the same on all my other devices : touchpad, sgs 1, sgs 2, transformer, etc...
But with Note it is just impossible to make it last longer than a month with the s pen : I drew like 2 minutes and there already is several deep scratches in the rubber layer, very annoying and it messes the vision of the screen.
So for the note it's a no go imho, I'll invest in a dry protection I guess...

Just got mine today. They are thick and seem durable, but you simply cannot use the stylus on it effectively. That must be why they're $1.99
Yeah it is annoying the indentations caused by the stylus, but at least it is offering me protection while I wait for my long term solution to arrive by mail
I bought one of those $1.99 screen protectors for my note, had it on for 5 minutes then promptly ripped it off and threw it away. The S-pen leaves trails and I was hoping it would be clearer than the matte finish protector I received with the phone but it was just as fuzzy or rainbowish. Waiting on an Ultra Optic now and will accept it even if its not as clear as I want.
Ive had the invisible shield on my tablet for a month. I thought I would LOVE it, since I have it on my phone, but the texture, on a bigger screen really annoys me! I spent $30 including the installation, and Im tempted to get a cheap $1 protector cuz they dont have texture
Does anybody else have this problem?
I would rather have to get a new $1 screen protector every 2 months than always be annoyed by the invisible shield...
I personally have ghost armor on my tablet an love it (ghost armored all my mobile devices including my 2 playstation portables) an the feel ghost armor has to me is nice as long as nothing sticky touches the screen it remains nice an smooth as silk
I went with my gut feeling and bought a cheap screen protector and I enjoy the a100 even more cuz I can actually scroll or move apps around
i bought a set of 3 Fosmon protectors for about $8, they work good, i messed up 2 of them but the 3rd one went on good, actually i got the 2nd one on perfectly, then when i removed the top layer i accidentally pulled up the screen protector too.....i didnt even realize it for a couple of minutes, i sure was mad
(the font camera hole is in the right place but it doesnt have the little cut out for the home button like my first screen protector had, but it doesnt need it because works perfectly)
i give this screen protector an A

this is the first time ive heard of ghost armor .. when i get my tablet back im gonna ghost armor the **** outta it lol alsom my htc g2 is gna be gettin some ghost armor shortly as well i wanna go clear but do you think the white would look good ??
i just put the Skinomi Carbon Fibre skin on my A100. It's just automotive grade vinyl sticker, but it protects against scratches and keeps the tab slim enough to fit in my pockets. The vinyl is textured and not as "grippy" as the stock slick back is, so it slides around in my hand a bit more than without the skin on it. Overall though it looks way better than the blue wavy Acer back, imo.
It came with a screen protector but I haven't bothered to put it on yet. I like the feel of the Gorilla Glass too much.
took mine off. had a zagg. I'm just being careful with mine and so far the screen is just fine
I use XOskins on the two tablets and four phones we have at our house right now. They are a wet install and take about 48 hours to fully clear all the bubbles out, be careful with any wet install protector when putting a case on that it doesnt grab the edge. XOskins does make phone screen protectors full size and case cut which are trimmed 1/8" all around. For whatever reason both tablets were easier installs then the phones, meaning almost zero bubbles when first installed but they clear out anyway. Keep your fingers wet for best results.
Now as far as clarity goes these are crystal clear, extremely durable and also come with lifetime replacements. Google for a discount code, usually a 20-30% code to use.
I had a protector on that screen for nearly a year before i finally got tired of the texture. I removed it and have been using it with no protector and its smooth and feels just fine.
I really haven't had anything close to a scratch like I have with smartphones in the past, since it doesn't reside in my pocket constantly in motion, it just doesn't get the wear and tear. Even the shiny coating on the case is still stock-perfect and I haven't been babying it.
It doesn't seem to be as important to protect this tablets screen as it does with a more roughly-handled phone.
