So I bought Madden NFL 12 for $4.99 on my Samsung Galaxy s3.
It was a 10mb download from the playstore. Open up the app and it says I need to download 300MB of additonal data. So i start to download it and pretty much the progress bar doesnt work. I tried over WIFI/Data. The bar doesnt move at all.
I couldnt refund it cause I originally thought it was a WiFi problem I had.
Anyway I have posted some screenshots for further clarification.
FYI I am on Android 4.0.4 on a Samsung Galaxy S3 (Bell Canada). I tried downloading with and without root to no avail.
Any help will be appreciated.

Did you try clearing app data?

I ran into the same thing. I had it on my infuse (stock GB, rooted) and couldnt load it on my S3 (stock At&t 4.0.4) from the play store so I did a backup from my infuse with mybackuppro then did a restore on my S3. I just had to check the box to "install apps from unknown sources".

How did you even get to buy it...do you mind pming me the apk, i can't buy it..cause it isn't compatible and every time i decided l download from the internet it doesn't even open...it just crashes..i would appreciate it if you can send the apk file

BTW jainyankee consider this as a warning bout warez. Xda doesn't condone talk of it,ways to do it and distribution of warez.
Pro nfl 13 is much better anyway. Get that. Just came out last week.

I turn on the 4G and I know it is working cause I can surf the web and download stuff but when I try to launch the game, once it passes the main screen it says I need an internet connection, what's the deal? Is it just our E4GT with its 4G or other devices too?

spotify does the same thing...
I tried to install it today and got force closes when trying to run it. One of the reviewers complained that it wasn't working on his GS2 since they put out a new update. Seems like it's having issues with all the GS2 phones. I had to wait for them to support my Atrix when I switched from my Inspire, hopefully it'll be fixed soon.
Edit: Just dug deeper into the reviews and it looks like a lot of people can only play on wifi now and quite a few said they had force closes on the Epic Touch.

Previous to the this weeks patch it worked alright but now it's most certainly broken for a number of devices, not just the GSII family.
Knowing Gloft we'll have a working update sometime by Christmas.

I'm not sure which version I was playing but I had no issues with either wifi or 3g. Let me check to see if I still have the apk file. I still have it and it's v1.0.3

It had me update .... When I said no to update then i tried to log in said I had to update.

Guys, it works fine with the lastest update 1.0.4 if Im not mistaken, my rant is about the game not working by just using our 4G connection, 3G and WiFi works fine.

The market download now works. If you have it and it won't run just delete the game data, uninstall and re-download.
Gameloft customer support actually emailed me (and I imagine anyone else they'd been in contact with about that last patch not working with the E4GT) with a link to download this directly before it hit the market, works just fine.

Von, have you try playing it with just your 4G not using 3G or WiFi? That is my problem.

I downloaded the latest version yesterday and it works fine on wifi and 3g for me. I don't 4g on my island so idk about that, can't test it
Doesn't Work on 4G. Haven't tested 3g or wifi yet. Just bought the game. January 2nd 2012

wow, can't believe your thread got hijacked from the word go!
In answer to your question, 4g has never worked for O&C on any phone. HOWEVER, if you have another android device too, you can run 4g and wifi tether, and then play on "wifi" on your e4gt or your other device. I still have my lg g2x (no service though), so I just run 4g on my e4gt and play via wifi on my g2x. That way I get no lag.
But be warned, even on 4g, lvling your alt will still be slow...

I am running stock 4.2 on rogers in Canada. I have the latest wallet app with a prepaid card. I have done all the obvious things to get it working such as enable nfc, I am rooted, market enabler, open the apk, go to the prepaid card screen, go to pay and nothing happens. I have used all parts of the phone tapping. I was on a rom at one point and tried it and got it to say payment sending but with no success. Anyone have any ideas? I have searched the forum and there are other topics but nothing that solves my problem. Thx in advance.

First question, are you using an extended battery or any battery other than stock that might not have the NFC stuff?
Second question, are you able to get your hands on another Gnex/some NFC tags? I would try testing it with one of those to see if its just google wallet acting up, assuming you're using an appropriate battery.
My phone is stock. No mods of any kind. Software or hardware. And no unless I go into a store maybe and use theirs.

im on rogers when i got my s3 i just opened drop box and selected i already have an account , sighned in and within 25 min my space was upsated.

Same thing here, it was part of the process when first running the phone. However, you did have to do 5 different things to unlock the full 50gb, but it doesn't take much time.
As long as you're rooted, the instrcutions I sent you via PM will work.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO FLASH ANY ROMS to get it.
that's all I will say about it but please don't risk softbricking your phone to get this. it's way simpler than that but you'll have to search for the method yourself.

It's only for two years. That goes for any galaxy s3 on any network. AT&T didn't make the agreement with dropbox so no temporary 50 gb for us

Like a few folks above me have said, it's very easy to get the free storage space. All you need is root access, no special rom required. Fwiw, I did it on a Rogers rom.

It expires 7/15/2014, by which time 50GB or greater will be the basic free standard anyway.
Also, some people have reported that Dropbox took back the 50GB and reverted their account to the original 2GB (minus other referral bonuses, etc) after they got caught, so only cheat the system if you really need the extra space and have other backups.
(DropBox also caught on to the HTX OneX cheaters, and fixed that)
I accidentally "cheated" the system. I flashed a t-mobile rom when I got my SGS3 when it came out because thats all their was, and it was compatible. Turns out it had the dropbox.apk. I logged in and noticed it gave me 50GB free.
I still have it.
I've still got my space too.

I still have my 50GB .. and I signed up for it when it was first announced about the offer .. also, I did it from a leaked link that I got when I had my SGSII Skyrocket !! Now I don't have the Skyrocket anymore, but have the SGSIII .. I still use Dropbox on a daily basis and all my space is still there.
Yup I got, u just login to ur dropbox account from ur ur pc or laptop and complete the survey,THAT'S it.

It says it's Optimized for Tegra2 and Tegra3 devices so maybe its tegra only for now. All I see are tegra owner reviews.
Buy chianfire if you really want it but also remember zynga made it

I have never been able to get this game to work!
downloaded it some time last year knowing id have a more advance device to play it on.
I've never got it to work on my S3 with AOSP. sadness.
Just thought I'd let everyone know this game plays fine on touchwiz based roms. Been paying it on dandroid.

I never bothered checking if they ever found a way to get Samsung pay to work after you root. Back when the Note 5 launched, you lost Samsung pay forever if you rooted your phone.
