Hello there
Is there a way to change the onscreen buttons, like exchange the back button with the "multitask" button, so the back button is closer to my thumb when i hold it in my right hand?
I am using latest stock fw.
greetings
You need to install a custom ROM like AOKP or CNA.
That is, unless you want to be buried under miles and miles of XML and smali code by trying to do it manually.
Or you build from source. Or you use Metamorph (i think). Check "Themes and Apps" section. Next time use search first.

You can't change or move the buttons with metamorph you can only change the appearance and designs.

There's a thread about this actually and it's pretty easy to change. Here you go:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=728153
Check the updated topic here
Just published 105 application bar icons for everyone use!
The icones are the REAL ones on the device native application (messaging, mail, office, etc.) as they where obtained directly from these applications resources!
You can find them here (translation options are on the sidebar)
These are provided free of charge, all I ask is that you link to the post, not to the file (nor copy for redistribution, just use direct linking to the post )!
Thank you!
Here is the icons preview

What do you mean with "install"? You just have to copy them to your application in Visual Studio or Blend to use them!

I think there's something to do with IE and a plugin on my Wordpress... Thanks for the message, I'll look in to it!
you can find everything here

Can I ask why right clicking on this forum has been replaced with some annoying third party look "contextual" search thing. It's really annoying
Moved to About XDA section.
i think its gr8
I finally got annoyed enough by it to come here posting about it, but I figure I'll resurrect this thread rather than start my own.
In a nutshell, the Contextual Search "feature" is about on par with Clippy.

You should still have the right click menu though...
Not when anything is selected, which is when it is usually used. I can't think of a single time the "contextual search" has ever been useful.
Had an epiphany that I could add a filter to Adblock. If anyone else cares to know, just add "searchlight_ctextsearch.js" to your custom filters. Yay! No more stupid counter productive "feature"!

Nope.
Contextual search only appears if you click the magnifying glass next to the selected text.

Just disable it then?
Go to options and uncheck "Enable Contextual Search".
I did that ages ago as I didn't really use that feature either.

Hello everyone.
I'm looking for a flashable mod that display the full date on the statusbar, next to the clock.
Some ROMs allow you to display the day of the week (FRI, SAT), but I'm looking for the full date or at the very least the day of the month.
Kindly take a look at this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1491887
Here the author explains how to do it yourself, but frankly that's way above my abilities. Besides, it seems to work only for AOKP roms, and I'm using one that's AOSP-based.
If any of you feel you have some free time and can help me, ideally by making a flashable mod that does the above, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Best regards.
You could always use uccw and make it yourself you just need to have a launcher that hides your status bar....that what I did

I couldn't part with my status bar and sometimes I need to know what time and date it is while inside an app, that's why putting it next to my clock would be perfect.
You still will see it there when your in a app

You mean like this?

To see that you have to press (and not slide) on your notification drawer. I need something that can bee seen without intervention on my part, for lack of a better term.
Might have to wait for a rom

Is it supposed to allow it to display the "Say 'Ok Google'" in the top? Or did I miss something?
I know that it was thought to be a Nexus 5 only thing with the 800, but I notice in people's screenshots it at least displays it. Mine just shows a hollowed out mic icon.
EDIT: Nevermind, I updated my English pack in the Voice Typing and that actually brought it up.
Hey but this launcher made icons larger.. which looks.. erh bad

you need to set "hotword detection" on (only english US and i need to download the offline speech recognition to make it work)
Thank you ... But why the size for widget is not correct? And why the pixels for apps is big ? Not sharp as original launcher.
